  1. Nintendo has released list of US/Europe 3rd party games that we will see for Wii during this fiscal year (ending March 31, 2007). Ant Bully Call of Duty 3 Disney's Meet the Robisons Dragon Ball Z Budokai: Tenkaichi 2 Dragon Quest Swords Elebits Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles Madden NFL '07 Rayman Raving Rabbids Red Steel Resident Evil Sonic Wild Fire SpongeBob SquarePants Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam SOURCE: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/n10/news/060526.pdf (check last page)
  2. Here is GC Cafe's Elebits Gameplay video: Looks far better in motion.
  3. I'm pretty sure that I have seen that flag in Fire Emblem game. But I don't remember which one.
  4. Roy (Elliwood's son) appeared in GBA's first Fire Emblem game, Fire Emblem: Fuuin no Tsurugi*. For some reason, Nintendo decided that they wouldn't localize this game even though they had advertised it in Smash Bros. Instead they localized next Fire Emblem** game, which was basically prequel for Fuuin no Tsurugi. * Rough translation: Fire Emblem: Sword of Seals ** Fire Emblem: Rekka no Tsurugi URL: http://nindb.classicgaming.gamespy.com/agb/afe.shtml
  5. It is copied directly from IGN's pages and has nothing to do with Nintendo. What is more amusing that copier has been so goddamn lazy that he hasn't even sorted the list. This happens too often. One site post news as a speculation, and next webpage copies it and presents it as a fact. And so on... Here is the original article: http://revolution.ign.com/articles/709/709258p1.html
  6. This list isn't confirmed by Nintendo. PalGN just simply copied IGN's article and added text that Nintendo had (supposedly) confirmed this list.
  7. More support for these rumours: Sega Sammy is planning to release seven Wii games during this fiscal year. Fiscal year 2006 will end on March 31, 2007. SOURCE: The Magic Box
  8. Do you know what is interesting. In Virtua Cop 2, first mission is to stop bank robbery and during the mission, you will kill over 80 robbers. Big gang for robbing local bank, eh?
  9. Dreamcast. Saw limited print in Europe and Japan. Does also have PS2 port, but like Dreamcast, print run for the port was very small.
  10. Nope. First trigger was in N64 controller.
  11. At least Marvel: Ultimate Alliance looks better. http://www.e3insider.com/images/?type=screenpax&articleID=X0D3ME6O82 http://www.e3insider.com/_media/?type=image&format=fullSize&source=gp_MULA-_Thing_charges_in_close.jpg
  12. If you had actually played PC-games in early 90's, you would know that Toys for Bob is very respected development house. Unfortunately quality of games dropped pretty fast after Star Control II.
  13. First of all, Fale's blog has never been about "revealing new exclusive secrets". But he was first to unveil identity of Seriousgamer007 and he was also first to interview Miyamoto about TP's wiimote functions (interview was for german mag Der Spiegel). He is extremely dependable guy and never has reported anything about outrageous or stupid. And I wouldn't really be surprised if he knew something about games that are coming for Wii. After all, all big gamingsites have already been briefed about Wii and probably have seen many titles for the system.
  14. Because Falefalkid is doing extremely good job with his blog. It has always been precice and correct source for news and has never been part of that "I have exclusive Nintendo stuff, visor lol lol OMG" stuff.
  15. Actually.... they have many names for the press cards. For example, Etoychest guy got card which says "Hyrule".
  16. Wrong. Sony's press conference is on monday. They changed the day to be first.
  17. I dunno, maybe to get power? I mean, nunchuk is a way too small to have its own internal power supply. Of course there is risk that it will eat wiimote's batteries too fast.
  18. Trademarked, not patented. And seriously, they don't need to. USA trademark law says that you don't need to register trademark to claim it. You just need to put TM next to it. Of course registering does give some benefits like proof for having trademark first when there are multiple claims for same trademark.
  19. But Namco released Mario Kart Arcade for japanese arcades about year ago. Game uses Nintendo's Triforce system, which is direct copy of Gamecube's innards except that Triforce has twice as much memory.
  20. I checked both US and Japan patent offices yesterday and even posted about results here, but nobody cared. Anyways. It is true that Nintendo hasn't claimed Wii as a trademark in neither Japan or USA. But to be frank, trademark for Xbox 360 was filed same day as MTV representation was.
  21. Heh, heh... it looks like 1UP fucked up :p http://1up.com/do/feature?pager.offset=3&cId=3149198 That's what the article said earlier in the day: Miyamoto and Iwata have hinted at a final secret for Wii that has yet to be revealed. And while we're sworn to secrecy, 1UP knows what this secret is -- and it's rather revolutionary. In fact, it's perhaps the most intriguing element of the system -- something with some rather cool implications for gaming. Let's just say that people have more to look forward to at E3. They then changed it to say: "Miyamoto and Iwata have hinted at a final secret for Wii that has yet to be revealed. And while we don't have all the details, we've heard that what's in store is exciting indeed -- secrets of a rather revolutionary nature, with some rather cool implications for gaming. Needless to say, we're looking forward to E3." Thanks for Game Guru at N-Sider forums.
  22. It is quite normal marketing tactic. Wii is quickly spreading around the net and though most people don't like the name, it is universal name that is easy to remember. By the time of E3, whole childish "it is wee" complaining has mostly disappeared from the net and new topic will take its place. But the "damage" is already done. Everybody remembers new name and it will reach subconscious level on gamer's psyche. You could even go so far as to say this is "perfect mindfuck" that every marketing guy is seeking.
  23. Ka is actually ancient egyptian word for lifeforce / soul, but I think that it wasn't that what Ford was seeking with the name.
  24. After two X-Men Legends games focusing on just the mutant superteam's exploits, Activision and Raven Software are expanding their focus. For their next title, due out this fall on multiple platforms, the dynamic publisher-developer duo is tackling the entire Marvel universe. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance will feature more than 20 playable characters, including Wolverine, Spider-Man, Captain America, Blade, and The Thing. Activision is promising that when the game is finished, more than 140 Marvel characters will appear in some form. Customizability appears to be a theme for the game, as players will be able to create their own team name and vehicle, level up characters individually or as a group, and go into a fight bare-fisted or wielding improvised weapons plucked from the environment. On top of that, Activision is promising player interaction in the story, where each gamer's team has its own reputation, and the missions accepted, the objectives completed, and the player's interactions with characters all have a hand in the story's path and outcome. Ultimate Alliance will feature online and offline multiplayer cooperative modes, as well as a competitive mode that tracks each player's statistics and distributes experience and equipment points based on those numbers. And much like Activision enlisted Uncanny X-Men scribe Chris Claremont to help write its upcoming X-Men: The Official Game along with Zak Penn, screenwriter for X2 and this summer's X-Men: The Last Stand, the publisher is again turning to talent from the source material for help. For Ultimate Alliance, Marvel Mangaverse writer C.B. Cebulski will lend his expertise to developer Raven Software. Activision has announced Ultimate Alliance for the Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox, PlayStation 2, PSP, Game Boy Advance, and PC. The game is set for a fall release. http://www.gamespot.com/pages/news/story.php?sid=6148498
