Indeed. The problem with these discussions is always that people are so goddamn nostalgic about the past, and lack any kind of perspective. They cry how Wii doesn't have same amount of games on its second year that Gamecube had on its fifth, and elevate old games into pedestals that they belong.

Yes, and I hope it pisses you off.

Majority of people have short attention span, and even shorter memory. What did you except?

Oh mighty True Gamer , I'm so glad that you are speaking for all of us. It's not like us mere mortals couldn't even comprehend that it is wrong that we enjoy Wii games. Oh thank you so very much. * kisses Jordan's feets *

Tiger Woods 2010 - MotionPlus Confirmed!
Teppo Holmqvist replied to Tellyn's topic in Nintendo Gaming
IGN has got to play Tiger Woods 10 with Motion+, and they recorded video about it. Seems to work pretty much like promised. I just hope that power consumption won't be too much, as wiimote does already guzzle batteries in pretty fast pace. Video @ IGN -

Officially announcements will happen tomorrow. Like always, these secret announcements are ruined by Famitsu Weekly. :p- 415 replies

Not to mention that lot of companies are hiking trade prices up in UK. Pound has really gone down to shitter, and it will get worse.
-
If they would, their financial results would be much higher.

Safe patch? Majority of US Top-20 developers are on the red, with those who focused primarily on HD-development are in the worst shape. Before someone says that recession has something to do with it, I must remind that we are still seeing 20 percent growth in revenue on quartely basis. So far consoles go, there isn't recession yet, and never was when majority of these losses were made. HD-model is simply broken, and we will see at least two, perhaps even three TOP-20 publishers to go down this year.
-
Hardly. So far as components go, after certain point, you really can't reduce unit price no matter how old the component is. I would guess that Nintendo gets 20 pounds per console, at tops, after you calculate research, marketing, and logistics into price.

Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles

And guess what? According to Capcom Japan's blog, they have simplified game from UC. Geez. And it is still outsourced to Cavia, a.k.a. "Chinese shithole for projects where costs, but not quality matters"- 415 replies

Total remake would be only way to go, as SEGA has literally lost House of the Dead's sourcecode. It's main reason why haven't seen first HOTD released on any machine outside Saturn and PC.

My guess is that Capcom is doing second Umbrella Chronicles that covers 2, Veronica, and Gaiden.- 415 replies

Certainly, but once again it is not about this. It is about inventing facts when you aren't sure. Matt didn't know how long game is, but still he stated it as a fact that it is X hours long, and used it as a major issue for score. This is very unprofessional and questionable. If you don't know something for sure, you don't use it as a fact (as facts are absolutes), and instead focus on things from angle that you are sure about.
-
This game pretty much summarizes modern consumerism.
-
This is not about repetitiviness, or quality of those extra hours. It is about fact that he didn't even know that those extra missions exist. There is fact that he made claim that game is short after playing to first credits. How he can claim anything about game's total length when he doesn't even know that game continue? It would be pretty much same that I would play through Super Mario World's first four levels, then write to my review that game lasts ten minutes.
-
I don't debate about game's quality here, as I pressume it to be pap. But claiming that game is short, without even knowing it continues after credits is unprofessional and reeks for slapdash review.
-
Funny trailer, at least.
-
Hilarious part here is that Matt brought length as a major reason for score, but quit even before seeing half of the game. Pretty questionable, I would say.
-
Hilarious sidenote: Matt only played until first credits. Game continues for 4-6 hours after that with other knights. Very, very unprofessional.

Hmh, and I have been away for two years. But yeah, NTSC-UK.

It's pretty strange to see you here.

I'm pretty sure that game will support Motion+. How do I know? There was this dude called Marc^O at Neogaf, who works for Sumo Digital*. Soon after the MotionPlus was announced, he practically turned into walking MotionPlus advertisement. MotionPlus this, MotionPlus that. He was pretty excited about the device, and later even went so far as asked for ban so he wouldn't accidentally spill beans about his new project. Furthermore, Gamestop accidentally leaked Virtua Tennis Wii cover. The cover had this new, strange blue controller icon, similar to Excitebots wheel icon. As cover is so small, you can't really see what the icon is about. But the cover was quickly pulled off from the site. Here is the copy of it: * company responsible for home ports of Virtua Tennis.
