  1. Sheesh, trying to use logic with person whose year is only 19 days long is pretty much pointless. But anyways.... here is how launch lineup would have actually looked if Wii would have been launched April in Europe*: Call of Duty 3 Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 Driver: Paraller Lines Eledees Excite Truck Godfather: Blackhand Edition Heatseeker Kororinpa Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Mario Party 8 Medal of Honor: Vanguard Mercury Meltdown Madden 07 Metal Slug Anthology Mortal Kombat Armageddon Rayman Raving Rabbids Red Steel Sonic and the Secret Rings SSX Blur Super Paper Mario Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 Trauma Center: Under the Knife Wario Ware: Smooth Moves Wii Play And then we have actually people who can't grasp why EUR PS3's launch lineup looks so good.... * I'm only listing high profile titles
  2. It is relevant because I just proved that TRUE first 12 months of Gamecube were pretty bad. Your selection was actually result of first 16 months of Cube's lifetime, so Wii is doing very well if compared to Cube. Would you have preferred that Nintendo wouldn't have done worldwide launch?
  3. Here is what was out after 4 months in Japan: Luigi's Mansion Wave Race: Blue Storm Pikmin Dairantou Smash Brothers DX Doubutsu no Mori + After that, it took two months for Doubutsu Banchou (Animal Leader) come out. Two months later, you got Doshin the Giant and NBA Courtside. Then four months after NBA Courtisde, SMS was out. All this stuff in 12 months (4 + 2 + 2 + 4), If you release console 232 days later in Europe than Japan, of course release list is going to look much better. Let's see what is out European Wii after 28.11.2007*, and then we can discuss about this again. * 232 days + 120 days (4 months).
  4. I don't know if you are acting dense, or if you really are that stupid, because I meant LITERAL YEAR, 'tard. By any sane man's logic, that console could be year old, it must have been out for 12 months. Wii has out in Europe and Japan for less than four months.
  5. Nintendo released 9 games during Cube's first year*. If current scheducle stays, Nintendo has released 23 titles (and one pack-in) for Wii during its first year. I think that there is quite big difference there. * Started from 14th of September 2001 when console was released in Japan.
  6. I wouldn't bet on it. Sony settled with Immersion mainly because it was clear that they were losing, and stakes were *extremely* high. If Immersion would have won on the court, Sony would have been forced by law to recall every PS2 console, every dualshock controller and over 60 different PS2 games from the US market, and pay over 400 million dollars to Immersion.
  7. Heh, have you tried to back from the portal that you just came? If you do that and save, prince will turn into sandwraith when save is loaded next time. This also makes game impossible to finish.
  8. Difficult? Not at all. Smart? Not at all. Wii Sports was basically slapped there because its expenses were already taken account on general development budget. Packing it with Wii didn't cost practically anything. Zelda, in the other hand, had 3½ years long development cycle, and giving it free in Wii's package would make Nintendo just lose money. It was bundled with N64 later on console's lifetime, but not in the beginning. Before Wii, SNES was last console that had bundled game from day one.
  9. Those are classic Ubisoft Bullshots, that are recycled from Xbox version's promomaterial. Never take any preview pictures that Ubisoft gives seriously. They are always been heavily doctored* and always will be. * It's also sad that certain people used these bullshots to prove how game X's Wii version is so much worse than Xbox version. Of course, they haven't never seen Xbox version live, but screenshots don't lie, eh?
  10. WW is multiple gamebreaking bugs that appear randomly. If you have one, you must start game from the beginning and hope that bug doesn't appear again. Pretty lame.
  11. Yeah... that would have been really good advertise for non-gamer. It would also been really easy game to demo random people. Sometimes people use little common sense would go long way before posting things like that.
  12. Iwata did also mention that Genesis and PCE games would be on VC.
  13. Well, ePSXe is, as I said is PSOne emulator. About five years ago, someone wrote netplay plugin for it, which allows game played over the net. Players join to game and simply take over single available controller. The bad thing about Cyberpad is that it isn't really that optimized. Even small disturbances in the connection can spell disaster for session, and it isn't really that tolerant when it comes to latency. But inside UK and Europe it works relatively well. Each user must, naturally, have same* copy of game and same virtual memory card contents. * NTSC and PAL versions don't work between oneselves
  14. BTW... If people are interested, we could try playing this online using ePSXe* and Cyberpad**. Of course, playing online would require that everybody would have original copy of PAL CTR, but I believe that everybody in this thread has one. * PSOne emulator ** Plugin for ePSXe that allows playing PSX games via online.
  15. From what I have heard, it isn't so bad as some reviewers have said, but it isn't anything stellar either.
  16. About 7 months.
  17. Times were quite different. During first years of gaming site, it was sooo much easier to get scores that were over 9. Just look some older titles / platforms on Gamerankings and you notice how silly scoring was.
  18. At least it could possibly get US release, as all earlier Ippo games had release there. Unfortunately Ippo games haven't sold really that well, and latest retailed with retailprice of 20 dollars. If it flops even on that price point, it is obvious that there won't be more Ippo games in the west.
  19. Since when price has stopped graphics whores from complaining? And seriously, we have certain posters that always complain about graphics, so long as they know that screenshot is for Wii game, and it is getting retarded. This especially true when we are talking about god damn fucking management genre, where graphics haven't never been priority number one.
  20. This is practically sequel to Outpost Kaloki X, Live Arcade title that was made by same developer (Wahoo Studios). X360 version was pretty similar graphics wise, and ironically nobody complained about its graphics. But it's nice to see that someone is trying management genre with Wii.
  21. Ziff-Davis Publishing Group is US company that publishes EGM, Official Playstation Magazine, Official Xbox Magazine, Gamepro and slew of other 3rd rate gaming magazines. Though they sold 1UP about month ago, it is fairly clear that their influence still shows on site.
  22. Here is current SSX Blur scores: Gamespot 7.4 Game Informer 8.5 GamePro 2.5 1UP 5.5 Gametrailers 8.4 Gamebrink 7.4 Gamesradar 9.0 What a big fucking surprise that, once again, lowest scores come from Ziff-Davis owned magazines / sites. Without them, average would be around 8.2.
  23. HDLoader and Swap Magic allow you to play NTSC stuff on PAL PS2 for reasonably low prices.
