Yeah, so elaborate that SEGA Germany's PR Chief, Best Buy's management, NGamer, ONM and Gamereactor have took part on it. It's real, goddamnit.
-
ONM said so on their own forums.

Nintendo Official Magazine says that it has exclusive preview for new, exclusive Wii title. That's more than enough to confirm that it isn't multiplatform title or PS2 port.
-
Good game is good game, no matter what form it takes, and furthermore, not all ports have tacked-on controls. Whole "tacked-on" has turned into cheap mantra that certain people are using to justify that they won't even give chance to other publishers than Nintendo. Do you know how lame and arrogant that is?
-
Heh, so I offended you, because I don't agree with you? I'm just saying that guys seldom have perspective to these things because you people are so goddamn fucking impatient. For example, you are bitching that there is ports. Well, if the port is extremely good (like in case of Godfather), what does it fucking matter? Hmh, considering from where you look. It took eight months to get Nintendogs, 12 to get Mario Kart, 13 to get Animal Crossing. I personally would say that Animal Crossing was the major turning point in the west. In the east, major turning point was Brain Training that came 6 months after local launch.

What makes the wii so fun for you...
Teppo Holmqvist replied to The Lillster's topic in Nintendo Gaming
That's bad. -
Yeah, you could write your own biography.

I have probably been gaming before you were even born, and after the second coming of PC-gaming*, I haven't never really thought that "damn, this game should look better and more like game X". It's practically pointless that doesn't change anything. Each game must be played on its own merits, and longing for greener pastures just distracts your enjoyment of game. * 1996-1999

We don't know. And neither you do. And we don't either know how much better PS3 / X360 stuff will improve from their current quality. Remember that MGS2 was released during second year of PS2? Graphically PS2 games* didn't really improve much after that. In the other hand, it's impossible to say anything about Wii, because most games are still last gen ports and we don't have specific information about GPU. You must also remember also budget, scheducle and other real world problems that weaken potential of PS3 / X360. * .And the ironic joke is that PS2 was technically more modern for its time than X360 is.
-
But the actual results aren't really that stellar when you considering following facts: 1) PS3 was four months beyond its competition 2) They only sold more on launch because they had more units. It's not like that Wii wouldn't have sold 165 000 units* on first weekend if there would have been more units available. 3) Only 165 000 people were actually interested about buying PS3 even when it was readily available. IF you can't generate enough interest or hype even on launch, you do have problem. * Number is from MCV

How so? Maxconsole quotes LiveNintendo who quotes Spong. :p

Because, y'know, everybody's TVs are going to blow up in 3 years and they are forced to switch to HD-TVs.
-
Well, Xbox had only lifespan of 4 years* (November 15, 2001 - November 22, 2005) and it really didn't hurt X360's sales. * 3½ years if we count from Europe's launch date.

Goddamnit people, it's an Amazon's standard placeholder date, because they don't usually know when game hits the shelves. Little common sense long way before posting everything you found from the net, thank you. And before someone says something about books, Amazon's book section is compiled by completely different team, and when it comes to release dates, is far more reliable and precise.

Yeah, you just proved generational gap. You think he is funny, I don't.
-
Your generation isn't called "everything and now" generation without good reason.
-
Exactly. And what is even more annoying, they are insulting everybody who don't agree with them. I'm so fucking tired of this "If you aren't with me, you are against me." style garbage. And this quote actually emphasis my point, as it really makes me wonder writer's age / maturity. You are living in Australia and can't write more coherent english than that? How fucking old you are? 14?
-
He is 1UP's resident and well-known Xbox fanboy, and far from un-biased or mature. Why he should? Being blunt and stupid works well with his targeted main audience, which is 14-18 years old chavs. And this is just how your market yourself to youngsters these days. Instead of even trying to sound smart or intelligent, you just try to be "funny".

Sure, historically world's fastest selling console is going to fade out, because it doesn't primarily cater trollish assholes* like him? With current pace, Wii is going to pass X360 in four months. I'm not saying that Wii will "win" this generation, but it fading out is just daydream of those who don't like it. * Guys who think that they are somehow "hardcore" because they play latest FPS.
-
Well, neither competitor did launch its console only with 320 000 units, and only on two regions. And neither of PS3's competitor sold only 4 consoles during first day on my hometown. I wouldn't call it worst launch in the console history, but it was easily worst from this generation consoles.

UK Official Super Paper Mario Strategy Guide is coming out in 27.04.2007, so there is fair possibility that game is released same day.

The Godfather: Blackhand Edition review
Teppo Holmqvist replied to david.dakota's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I bought this too. Very tight and satisfying controls. Faces and explosions look really good, otherwise pretty much standard PS2/Xbox-fare. But it does look better in motion than in screenshots. -
Well, you have point that Nintendo has pushed its mini-game fests out first. Fortunately after Q2, there isn't any mini- / party games left, if you don't want to count Wii Music as one. But what comes to Metroid, I'm surprised that people are acting like it is extremely important title. I mean, Prime 2 sold only 300 000 copies worldwide, so it is hardly something that moves system. Heck, if we look sales statistics, even Mario Party is more killer-app than Metroid Prime.

Nintendo and Gamespy join up for online multiplayer middleware
Teppo Holmqvist replied to flameboy's topic in Nintendo Gaming
It's perfectly right to be dissapointed. Your sentence just gave me humourous image of angry little guy on the front of Nintendo's HQ, shaking his fist. No offence really meant.
