  1. Ah, once again jumping on the gun. Miyamoto didn't say that they weren't doing more epic games, he just stated what was true. JRPGs have sold less and less during last five years, and many gamers (especially older) do prefer shorter games these days. You just don't have that much time for games when you have both full-time job, family and other hobbies. If there is long pause (say week long) with your gaming sessions, you are easily going to lost track of the controls, where you were in the game, etc. Yeah, Climax was released, but only in Japan, and it crashed and burned pretty badly. GP Legends didn't fare well either. EDIT: Maximum Velocity was developed by NDCube, GP Legends and Climax were developed by Suzak.
  2. Umm... all three GBA F-Zero's were outsourced to various teams...
  3. That's the standard Donkey Kong model that Nintendo has distributed for its 2nd parties (as seen in Smash Bros and Mario Parties).
  4. Sigh... can't any of you guys actually read the feature list? Make Your Boog a Star—Choose one of the Boogs and customize their look. And if you can't still grasp it, game features different dancers that can be customized for your own liking. If preview 3 concentrates on different dancers it doesn't mean that dancer from preview 1 or 2 would be gone. Some common sense goes long way.
  5. But strategically most important titles will come out here at 2007. That's how Nintendo / NoE works.
  6. I would take that list with grain of salt, as it is same that Nintendo has used since last years november. Only difference is that Kirby has been pushed to TBA.
  7. 25.04.07 16:53 10TACLE of STUDIOS AG: ASIA GAMES & MEDIA PRIVATE EQUITY FIND PSE. Ltd. assigned first project „Ready 2 Rumble “for Nintendo Wii is the first product of a co-operation put on on a long-term basis Darmstadt, 25 April 2007 - as exclusive development and marketing partners of the ASIA GAMES & MEDIA PRIVATE EQUITY FIND PSE. For the 10TACLE of STUDIOS and the fund administered in Singapore this is the first realized project in the last year admits given co-operation. The conversion of co-operation and the transfer of the successful fund model from Europe to Asia preceded thereby substantially faster than planned of both parties first. The 10TACLE of STUDIOS takes over the complete project management and the international marketing for the assigned titles and participates to large extent at later proceeds. With the third part of the sow-Irish box play „“the 10TACLE of STUDIOS AG their Produktportfolio supplements ready 2 Rumble around a further prominent, international mark. With the first development the Japanese category specialists of the AKI corporation are assigned, itself internationally successful plays, as „Def Jam already made “or „WWF Wrestlemania “a large name. Michele Pes, executive committee of chairmen of the 10TACLE of STUDIOS AG: „The conversion of the strong sport license “ready 2 Rumble “for innovative Nintendo Wii console is a fantastischer start for our co-operation with the ASIA GAMES & MEDIA PRIVATE EQUITY FIND PSE. My special thanks go to the team of the 10TACLE of STUDIOS PSE. Ltd., which made also to Asia the conversion our possible for European fund model. “ Source The press release was translated using Google's translation service, but you should get the idea. This is great news, as AKI has done some really good stuff.
  8. It's actually more than half-way there. Wii has sold 6.5 million units worldwide, and according to various salesreports, X360 haven't yet breached 10 million unit mark. The fact that Microsoft shipped only 500 000 new X360's during last three months hints that its sales have slowed down, with 80 percent of units going to USA / UK.
  9. No idea about that. But at least Mario Strikers Charged has invidual codes for each Mii, basically turning them into seperate accounts. Of course, SEGA's Pachinko game had also Mii support for online matches...
  10. Japan gets Metroid always 3-6 months later than other regions. This is because it doesn't have much market value there, and it needs to be translated to japanese unlike other Nintendo games. That is also main reason why they have always managed get Metroid titles out nearly simulatenously in USA and Europe.
  11. These numbers are probably for 3 year period. During Gamecube era, Nintendo published 54 Gamecube games within 4 years.
  12. It was add-on disk that used N64DD. It featured car editor, full-fledged track editor and two, completely new cups (Cup DD and Cup DD-2).
  13. Actually it is fact. It is shown at Jeux-France's video. Each Mii has its invidual friendcode.
  14. Well, this is from Paon instead of Nintendo Tokyo so drop in the graphics was excepted. Furthermore, if game is fast, you don't even have time to take notice of small details.
  15. During interview, Monolith's rep said that only things that Tri-Crescendo were responsible for Baten Kaitos: Origins were music and part of card mechanics. Story, graphics, and the rest were done by Monolith (even game's credits support this claim). The game was much better than the first which was done 50-50 between Tri and Mono. And do you really believe that Monolith wouldn't get help directly from Nintendo if they needed it? Nintendo has more than enough ability and resources to turn lackluster* developer into good one. * Some examples; Kuju, Retro
  16. BTW, these pictures were sent to various websites by Nintendo of Europe. It probably means we are going to see this title sooner than excepted.
  17. According to news conference held today, Nintendo is currently working on 45 Wii titles and 79 DS titles. Furthermore, Satoru Iwata informed that the second batch of games will be introduced at the end of this summer. Of course, many of these titles won't be released this or next year, but at least it is nice to see that Nintendo is working on so many games. Source
  18. BTW, Nintendo buying Monolith means that they believe Disaster: Day of Crisis is going to be good title.
  19. And ironic thing that I guessed this about four months ago from various comments that Monolith rep said during BK:O interviews.
  20. It is netcode, not server related problem. Not all X360 online games are equal either.
  21. Considering that last week over 1.5 million matches were played on DS Wi-Fi service, current service does quite well.
  22. You really had overclocked* N64 then? * Protip: I think that this retarded "it looks like PSX / N64 game" shit should really stop.
  23. During interview with german Nintendo magazine, Square-enix rep said that Secret of Mana / Secret of Evermore are titles that we are probably going to see soon for VC. This was few months ago.
  24. The true reason is that people want to pirate games. 98-99 percent of modchip users use chip only to pirate games, nothing else.
  25. Not really. When you are actually playing, camera isn't so close to scene, and you won't even pay any attention to certain textures. This is common practice in car games such as GT and Forza, and even F-Zero GX uses same tactic. Textures beyond cars are very simple, because nobody pays attention to them when he is playing the game. Game will look probably pretty pleasant when its running 60 FPS.
