  1. I said an end where a character dies or a Game over screen You can say that brin age is a game all you want its nota game, its a software application even the nintendo execs say "when you use Brain Age" not playing it. I'll admit its a popular application but its not a game.
  2. Games like Castle Crashers, Alien Hominid HD(which is out), and other great unique content not to mentioned updated classics like paperboy, rootbeer tapper. And later this year jetpack refuelled is coming out. Quite simply awesome. On VC too expensive for the content they are offering, not even giving us it running at a freakin 60hz, original graphics which are fine but they could of touched it up about.
  3. Well the the final game to be published that I know of his Wing Island. And they don't seem to want to release any new release dates.
  4. True DCK but the world when you look at it is kinda sparse. And it looks effectivly that you'll be jumping on different platforms and pressing buttons and shaking the wiimote to attack. I'll wait until the yanks and japanese get it this year and europe gets it in 2008. And before you start saying but shiggsy said this year. He was in america at their GDC, so primarily he was talking to the american audience
  5. Its not a video game though. Now I thing back to my defination I should of added "A videogame has a start, middle(completing tasks) and an end (where the players character dies or a screen saying "Game over" appears to signal the end of game) Its not me though 70% of the lads and lasses on my course have stated before that these sort of things aren't games.
  6. A video game is a piece of software that typically involves user/player interaction with a controller interface to generate visual feedback on a video screen. It also generally has some system of reward presented to the user in return for meeting certain accomplishments within the framework of a given ruleset Theres my definition of a videogame. And yes I think tetris does have very good games design. Its not simply a software application becuase you have a score which you have to try and beat with each level becoming slightly more difficult.
  7. Thing is this though the graphics are how games this generation should look unfortunately. And yes I'll await the final product. But for what I have seen of it haven't been wowed yet.
  8. Viva pinata wasn't making you say wow seesh Mind you I have yet to be wowed moment so far on the wii.
  9. I am just going to say this XBLA is 500% better than the VC, if te prices were 100 points cheaper on VC games, then iXBLA would be ever so slightly better on the 360.
  10. Actually dev kits were out alot sooner than that in terms of the controller dev kit. Thing is though you can make a good game in a 12-18 months. Oh and Rezourceman I've reported your message I didn't swear to you are call you names.
  11. My dear friend I wanted to get it on the GC but couldn't
  12. you did mate you said brain age is an new genre of games. The defination of a video game out of a dictionary: A video game (or videogame) is a game that typically involves user/player interaction with a controller interface to generate visual feedback on a video screen. It also generally has some system of reward presented to the user in return for meeting certain accomplishments within the framework of a given ruleset. Tell me this then the bold piece above how does brain age get classed as a video game when its lacking one important component of it.
  13. The content games, no game on the wii has said to be wow this is fantastic yet, ps3 has given me that feeling, also with 360. The games on the downloadable service. 360 has most of the old arcade titles a touch whether that be new graphics with online play etc. With brand new games like Castle Crashers being put up their in the coming months. Even with ps3 they are adding new games along side their old ps1 games to download. And nintendo on the wii we have has two demos(that nintendo are classing as full games). We have half a racer in the form of excite truck. A minigame collection, and a GC game posing as a new wii game.
  14. No the gundam game that came out at launch didn't impress me much and the genji game didn't either.
  15. Still it looks like the average game this genration should look. Gameplay from what I have seen so far not really that impressed.
  16. Brain age is not a puzzle game. Yeah and Nindendogs I played 1 hour a day for about a week then I found it to be absolutely boring
  17. Fuck you Reggie at least your competitors deliver on content.
  18. They aren't new genres of games though. Firstly Brain Age is neith a puzzle game or a quiz type game. Its a new genre of software application. Just like if they brought out mario paint its not a new game its a software application.
  19. No they make good brain age software, and other software like that but it ain't games
  20. Like the Walker adverts apart from moving the entire plannet and moving it away from the sun. I like it But seriously the thing about Global Warming is that if you look over time at the climate patterns. Theres a cysle heats up, goes cold, heats up, goes cold. Its just the plannet keeping itself in a natural balance. But the normal theory of global warming - being our fault seems to conveinet. Could it be the governments of thw world have thought of a plan to generate higher tax revenues by doing a con on the worlds population. My answer is maybe.
  21. All he had to say was "when I gave my talk it did not represent the views of Maxis and EA" Thats all, and he even made a mistake in the apology, "Nintendo are very passionate about making games" Brain age, brain academy, nintendogs,, etc.- they aren't games though. They
