Meh, I kinda relish the fact that I supported HotD & Madworld before the pricecuts. Makes me feel like a tough brute hardcore man, mister Hat. Of course, now I don't have any money left. Which kinda sucks I suppose.

I'd be more than happy with Doom/ Perfect Dark-ish gameplay as long as they nailed the controls and the multiplayer. People shouldn't be so easily dissuaded (or assuaded, for that matter).

Right, someone who's being a bit critical about a game has no right to just go out and buy it! No right at all! The portals rule. Loved them in Brawl's SSE, gonna love them here. What would you suggest a game with the name "The Conduit" chose as enemy spawning mechanic then? Beats the crap out of every other FPS (slight overstatement). And Kotaku have never been the place to read. Just like at Destructoid, a preview depends a whole lot on who did it. The contributors aren't all supporting the same cause (ie, objective reporting). And come on, complaining about getting your ass handed to you by a game? Seriously? Just give it more time and get better. Numbskulls.

How many of them were online? How many players did GoldenEye have max? I get the whole "but GoldenEye was like in the nineties man! get with the time dude!"-thing, but come on. Be happy with what you get if you want more (ie, sequels). Yes, like the Golden Gun made you invincible in GodenEye and PD : Have you played it? And if you're appalled by repetitiveness, you should look towards other genres. I certainly prefer that to endless out-of-nowhere-spawning. A point where I think that the game is original (as far as I know), hence my being baffled that even this aspect can be prone to criticism.

Uhm. Dropping to twelve has more to do with ping than with graphics. So my guessing is Nintendo's online sux (demonstrated by the network failing at the Sega event). But I'm not bothered, 6v6 is good enough for me. Still looks just as good imho.

Yes you can, to a certain extent, just like you can't really fault this for not being the third installment in its series, carrying the improvements that would entail. When was there mention of bad AI? And for level design in an FPS to be bad, you'd have to be a blind designer. Halo 3 sucked monkeyballs, mostly by default for using analogue input, but if you were to care for the story as well, I'd use even worse and more elaborate descriptions to colour the amount of fail Halo 3 was. Just like the Killzones. And the Resistances. Hence why no FPS story since Perfect Dark (back when I was young and naive) has succeeded to entice me, and why I no longer consider story to be a necessary element of the FPS experience. Rant out, bed in.

Wait a minute. So on one hand reviewers are saying that Halo was great because it copied things from other games. But then they're bashing this for doing the same. Uh... biased much? What'd they do, hire a 360 previewer for the Wii? Personally, for the supposed FPS trendsetter on Wii, I can do without all the bells and whistles made famous by other games. I'll just take my enjoyment in blasting the living daylights outta things, old skool style.

I.e., yellow and watery? :P Getting a good vibe from this. Remember, this is made by the fellas over at Climax Studios (Overlord: Dark Legend). Does look like if Winter will ever come out, it'll have to differentiate itself theme-wise as well (with SH getting the frost-makeover and all).

Thanks for the tips darksnowman What I meant with extras: with ye olde PES's, you had PES-points which you could spend on hidden players, stadiums and kits. Any of that goodness in here? No idea about holding B, will try it when the girlfriend's through watching Wipeout (dear frakkin' lords).

Got this for my anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, and after the initial wow, I've had more and more tiny disappointments. I'm hoping that you kind lot over here can clear some of them up, at the very least. - How can you pass harder? For the moment, I'm losing my balls over and over (oh yes) because my entire squad passes like sissies on crack. - How do you pull off a controlled shot? It's nowhere in the manual, but does appear in the tutorials. - How do you feint, cancel and marseillaise with the wiimote and the nunchuk? If it's true that those are set to random (ie, hold z and shake), I'm gonna cry. - Where are the extras? No probs defending. Also (no biggie for the lot of you I suppose), although the box says multilingual, only English, French and German text & commentary is provided (while I really appreciated the Spanish option on the ps2 versions of 4 and 6 - studying Spanish as I am).
