  1. The f*$k what? you could have done the same and had the epiphany I was referring to the formular in regards to Nintendo & Eurogamer amongst other sites and journalists. Eurogamer are often the the firestarters for this formular. What!
  2. Replace Dead Space with Nintendo, Eurogamer editor gives the OK.. rinse, repeat. http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2013-03-05-dead-space-4-cancelled-as-series-sales-decline-report#comment-62914
  3. We'll have to see how the Miiverse 'Where is WiiMote support, Capcom?' demonstrations go. If Nintendo and Co need reminding how much people love Wiimote for certain games, I'm sure they will be. I think Wiimote + GamePad open the system to more games and play options than just one or the other. DA on its own is just boring and dated; Wiimote on its own is frustrating when shoehorned on to games it doesn't suit. I don't think Nintendo is forgetting the Wiimote any time soon though - Pikmin 3 - but folk like Capcom might need a kick up the arse on Miiverse.
  4. The technical issues are a slight concern, I too though that with Nintendo being publisher they would have helped make sure it was a highly polished package, but I think Nintendo has a lot to learn where shaders and HD development is concerned... but man, as @tapedeck points out, it sounds like the positives pummel the negatives into the ground.
  5. Whaaaaa?!?
  6. Gameinformer brief highlights. •Moderately high Replay Value •Platforming is still a weak spot, but TT did a good job with the Gamepad •A 70's cop show soundtrack is great for the first few hours, But your ears will go numb beyond that •Great to see Lego characters in a realistic world, but there is some minor screen tearing •An original Story based in the Lego universe. •One of the funniest games (The reviewer) has played in a while and it provides anarchic that should keep kids busy for a long time
  7. Wholesale prices normally vary ultimately to a finite minimum base price, depending on the volume you buy at one time. I can't imagine Zavvi were selling at a £20 loss + P&P.
  8. New US TV advert. I'm not a graphics pimp, but man, those jaggy shadows on the that character's faces really erk me - seems like such a pissy issue to fix, I really thought they would have been smoothed out before release.
  9. Official trailer.
  10. Nintendo Wii 'should be used to train surgeons' Playing video games on the Nintendo Wii can help surgeons improve hand-eye coordination and should be used to enhance their training, according to a new study. A group of postgraduate surgeons at the University of Rome were put on a month-long programme of gaming using the Nintendo’s Wii console. Researchers then compared their performance with doctors who had not spent an hour a day playing games. Those that had been playing with the Wii scored significantly higher as a group in simulated tasks designed to test the skills needed for laparascopy, or keyhole surgery. The authors of the report, writing in the scientific journal PLOS One, said that using the Wii could become a “helpful, inexpensive and entertaining part of the training of young laparoscopists in addition to a standard surgical education based on simulators and the operating room.” The study follows on from others that have used video games in an attempt to hone surgeons’ skills. ~ Telegraph
  11. Is there no mention of NFC as well? Seems most lame if it's just a code.
  12. First 'kinda' review of Undercover. You might find it slightly annoying. At the end they mention a lego kit you can pick up with a [NFC] code you can scan in to unlock content. Not a collector but i'd be half interested in getting it just because it'd be the first NFC item for the Wii U... That along with the pre-order version would be a shit hot collector's piece.
  13. Very dull and uninspiring game, but their tech guy did put a lot of effort in so I hope they earn off this. Should be perfect for the most casual of casuals.
  14. Wii, I just said I would have predicted less people would want one... but I'm still saying it's bullshit, lol... you're crazy man. Stop posting this N4G tripe... pretty please. For the record, vouchercodespro is one of those survey sites people get paid to fill in surveys... grade A bullshit IMO.
  15. 240 people out of every 1000 want a Wii Mini according to this... that's ... AMAZING... considering it's a stripped down version of a console that most people already own. It's 140% more than I would have said. I'm sure the PSone was met with as much anticipation. This survey is bullshit, as indicated by it's existance; the no answer reasons and lack of yes answer reasons.
  16. @Wii, serious question - do you post these thing out of irony or do you think they're worth reading?
  17. Only WiiMote support left to be added. If they can add off-tv, then they should be able to tack on WiiMote controls with that same off-tv interface.
  18. Where BS=number of online players / (horseshit*dogshit) N=BS°64√Wii = Nope, still doomed!
  19. I think it actually looks too hardcore - if it is primarily aimed at small kids as their first console it could do with looking a lot more Fisher Price.
  20. £79.99 is the best price so far. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nintendo-Wii-Mini-Red/dp/B00B7GME9Q/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1361966529&sr=8-4 Tad too much. They started off £103! Though considering I seen a Wii U branded MotionPlus for £50 in ASDA yesterday - no nunchuck - it makes it look like a pretty good deal.
  21. It's the same difference though; Apple do it and continue to, so it must have had litte to no effect with their marketing. Obviously one or two people will make the mistake, get on the net and write about it, some rat will pick up on it, post as 'news' on the Weasel News Daily (N4G), Wii will post it here, before you know it one person has turned into millions, Nintendo doomed, blah, blah... Nintendoomed is actually down-pat , a scientific formula N=BS°64√Wii.
  22. I think it's a great first console for young kids, and people seem to understand the difference between all the iPods, IPhones, iPad *mini*, so Wii Mini? I doubt it would have any effect on Wii U sales whatsoever. There may be a few upset folks if they buy it thinking you can get online with it with the iPlayer and what not though!!
  23. Off-screen play.
  24. Would any be too bothered if Sony made you pay £10 to enable BRay features (BRay licence)? Could be a way they can make the initial purchase slightly cheaper for those not bothered about it.
  25. There seems to be a lot of love for the 360 controller minus the d-pad, so I doubt they'd rock that boat. I read (not sure if it's fact or rumour) any new pad will use proprietary wireless signal, so they don't want you to use the 360 controllers it would seem. If the controller was unique to the system, they wouldnt feel the need to change the wireless connection.
