  1. I really want a PS3 as well, but I'll feel so greedy if I get one. The fact that I got an Xbox 360 in August and a Wii in December makes me feel bad enough, even though I've worked and earned my money. My other concerns are also space, my room is tiny, a slight lack of games, most of the ones I want are on Xbox 360, and the biggest one of all, I am the most fickle person EVER. Seriously I change my mind at the drop of a hat, and I'm kinda feeling like I just want to own the latest shiny thing. Will I buy this and just think, meh, I should have waited? Saying all this, I do think I'll want one eventually, as I have enjoyed having access to all the latest games I've wanted recently since finally going 'multiplatform'. And I don't expect a price drop any time soon. I might force myself to wait for once.
  2. So annoyed at how long we're having to wait for Worms without even a solid release date. Got Halo 2 today and the map pack is taking a retarded ammount of time to download. Seriously, worse than Crackdown. And yes, I'm up for another Gears night.
  3. Crackdown, Virtua Tennis 3, and NBA Street are the next games I'm getting on 360.
  4. Everything I've seen on Apples website looks top notch. Interface looks nice in Tiger, but a few applications are different (iTunes is different to Safari, which is different to Mail), this is the main that I haven't heard anything on yet. Maybe an 'Applications' folder being on the dock by default that acts as a sort of start menu. (I know you can add the applications folder to the dock but not everyone knows this.)
  5. I always played on the easiest setting, because firstly, I'm rubbish at games, and secondly I like to get through a game and see it all, then maybe play through harder once I've finished it.
  6. Did you try leaving it a few seconds (up to 20-30)? Cus what you described happened to me and it was just freezing up for a while and then working again after that with mine.
  7. Well Zelda and Rayman aren't Wii exclusives but you'd probably consider them to be 2 excellent Wii games. Games don't have to be exclusive to be good. To be honest the games coming out at the end of this year do look very good, but I do think Nintendo needs a really great game in March/April to keep the momentum going. People wont buy a console to play SSX. Even though it looks to be one of the best games out over the next few months. Summer is always crap though, so don't expect anything then.
  8. Kameo, PGR3, and Perfect Dark. Then Oblivion and GRAW not long after that.
  9. 1. I got Amped 3 from Gameplay. 2. Shenmue II = Get it, or badgers will eat your eyes.
  10. The DS situation is why I'm still hopefully the Wii will come good. One thing I will say though. Gamecube had Luigi's Mansion, Star Wars: Rogue Leader at launch, and then there wasn't a long wait for Pikmin and Smash Bros. in the 3-4 month wait for Mario Sunshine. So I'm not sure why people are saying the Cube was like this. Cube had some massive droughts bt the first few months weren't that awful.
  11. Starting to get into Amped 3 a little bit now. Was quite fun doing some combos for a while, but still moments of it that are really dull. The presentation of the game and the story are excellent though. At the end of the day, it was £13. Probably worth it, although not a patch on SSX3.
  12. People are still going mental for Wii Play though. I thought it was rubbish, and sold just the game on ebay expecting £3-4 max. I got £20 for it, and I paid £33 for it with a controller worth £30 originally.
  13. Wii has Zelda and NOTHING else. How is that better than the PS3 and 360 launch? 360 had PGR3, Kameo, and Perfect Dark, which although some didn't like the last 2, they were all decent. PS3's European launch list is perhaps the best launch line up ever. I should also point out that 360 had Oblivion and GRAW in just a couple of months after launch. Wii has been out nearly 2 months ad still has nothing. SSX is THE game for Wii right now. Nothing else from Nintendo as of yet.
  14. I'm still not into Zelda. I just don't like it. I don't like Ocarina either. I did really like Wind Waker, but every other Zelda I've ever played I've not liked.
  15. Same here, but to be fair Halo 3 will be online.
  16. Well, I don't think billions times better is right. XBLA has games in HD, games with online modes, and essentially new games out on it. The games on VC will all have been seen before. Most XBLA games are fairly crap, but I will play more of Worms and Geometry Wars than anything on VC. I think there will be more, better games on VC, but then you have to remember the price of paying for games you've played before with no extras.
  17. I still can't believe Reggie answered the games drought question with 'We've got Mario, Metroid, and Smash Bros.'. As if that's enough... The updated one will simply be running cooler and might have a HDMI port. So not really worth the wait imo. It's not exactly a DS Lite step up in redesign.
  18. I'm happy with mine. Gives me the chance to play Gamecube games without looking at something purple. I probably should have waited. I did with the DS and should have done with this. Hopefully SSX and MK:A will change my mind. So far the lack of games is ridiculous, and I've not seen anything yet where I go 'wow, this is the future of gaming'. Wii Sports is fun, Zelda I'm still not convinced is actually better with Wii controls. This will be a very interesting question in a years time.
  19. Well I've got a Mac so I wont be using Vista at home, but I hope that work upgrades (although they wont).
  20. Xbox 360 with Live is so much better than Wii. You either get Zelda on Wii and wait for the next good game which unbelievably is an EA game right now (SSX), or you pick up a 360, grab Halo and Halo 2, and pick up a large selection of excellent games, go on Live and join a community of gamers. Your choice.
  21. It's taken me years, but I've finally gotten into Halo. Such an excellent game, controls are perfect. Ordered Halo 2 off Ebay now for £3.50 and now I'm looking forward to Halo 3. Also decided Crackdown was worth a purchase as well especially with Halo 3 beta. And I've pre ordered NBA Street which I've seen on the 1Up show and On the Spot and it looks really cool.
  22. My Gamecube was the only console I've ever had with a problem. Kept crashing but my replacement has worked ever since. My 360 has had a couple of moments where it's crashed, although that might have been where is froze for a few seconds and I thought it had crashed, because once I actually left it for longer and it came back.
  23. Agreed. I've got this and Mortal Kombat on pre order. I may pick up Sonic as well but I might have to read a positive review or 2 before I do.
  24. It's better than Monkey Ball, it's just sometimes the controls can be not recognised, and it's frustrating when you get the game over screen and you don't know why. When it's good though, it's excellent, but I've nearly thrown my remote at the tv a couple of times.
  25. Lol, I am being over the top, but so far the actual gameplay side of it is boring, and not a patch on anything like SSX3. But presentation wise it is funny. You can get it from Gameplay for £15, I've played the demo and the controls are actually surprisingly good. As for the quality of the game, I don't know having only played the demo, but enough people on here have finished the game.
