Well, this is out of the blue, but the draw of E3 is still strong with us, so I'm really happy to say that episode 70 of the N-E Cafe Podcast, featuring a few Recent Games, and lots of general E3 discussion and specifically Nintendo predictions thanks to Greg's 20 Questions. It was great getting back together with Nick and Greg to chat about games, and we'll be back in two weeks time to discuss what we thought of Nintendo's E3 showing. Sorry if we're all a little rusty, it felt strange at first after a 2 1/2 month hiatus. N-E Café [070] E3 2021 Preview and Predictions Recorded on the 6th of June, 2021. Episode 70 of the N-E Café sees the return of regular hosts Lee Davies, Gregory Moffett and Nick Lone discussing their Recent Games, and jumping on the bandwagon of E3 hype. Join us for the fun! A thread bump to highlight a fantastic game we played in the 66th Podcast episode, where we killed Nintendo franchises until only 9 remained. Now with visual representation of the omissions.

N-E Café [069] Nothing For Free is now live at all good podcast providers. It's a bitter sweet episode this week. Great, fun Nintendo discussion with a nice quiz about the Top 50 Grossing Video Game Franchises, but as we state at the end of the podcast, we are taking a break. This most certainly isn't the end of the N-E Cafe Podcast, but we'll be shying away from the airwaves for about 2 months. It's an incredibly hard thing to do when you enjoy spending your time talking about Nintendo with 2 blinding co-hosts. Extra time commitments outside of the internet sphere have made us hard pressed to produce anything of late, so it's best if we settle the real world details before heading back online. Enjoy our latest podcast, and until the next one, where we'll keep you informed of our imminent return right here. Thanks for listening and supporting us. Any new listeners can catch up with all 69 episodes at the N-Europe YouTube Channel, and at Old Nintendo Gamer & Son YouTube Channel where we split the podcasts up into topics of discussion. Thanks again. Recorded on the 21st of March, 2021. Episode 69 of the N-E Café has regular hosts Lee Davies, Gregory Moffett and Nick Lone discussing the most noteworthy Nintendo News of the week, their Recent Games, and Lee quizzes the boys on their knowledge of the top 50 grossing video game franchises ever. Had exactly the same thing happen to both of the Neon Yellow JoyCon I poicked up, but both SL and SR buttons, and the LED lights, don't work at all.

Apex Legends. Free-to-play FPS Battle Royale (09/03/21)
Londragon replied to Kav's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Will check that out. Still trying to get a few matches in a day, and I feel more comfortable with it all. Great gunplay, weighty weapons, and really tough. If your team is not working together then you've got very little chance of surviving any longer than a few minutes. But what a feeling when your team clicks. Enjoying. -

Yeah, certainly seems that way. Should be a fun distraction from the main modes, but they failed to say if it was playable in multiplayer, so probably not.

I've enjoyed this monster, but as our next video will show, Magnamalo has massacred us. Fun dying to it though.

Apex Legends. Free-to-play FPS Battle Royale (09/03/21)
Londragon replied to Kav's topic in Nintendo Gaming
In all fairness, it feels as if there is a good game there, solid gunplay, apart from the gyro issues. However, all the menu's feel cheap, like a mobile game, and the worst crime, it uses a cursor controlled by the analogue stick to make choices in the menus, hideous. WarFace does the same, and just cheapens the game instantly. Sort your menus out, make them more intuitive, and not that sprawling mess of options at the top. -

I've had a couple of game breaking crashes mid match too. -
Apex Legends. Free-to-play FPS Battle Royale (09/03/21)

Just tried the training in Apex. Oh, dear, not feeling it. Feels like a cheap clone of Overwatch. Sluggish movement, awkward aim control, spent too long in the settings menu tinkering with sensitivities and just can’t find something that feels nice at all. And the gyro control is completely messed up, in handheld at least. Haven’t tried a pro controller yet. The vertical gyro works fine, but the horizontal gyro, just doesn’t move in the normal setting, and even at Max setting you literally have a one to one turn in real life. So, you physically have to move your console around you to adjust aim. It feels so cumbersome and increasing the sensitivity, then adds in a mass of twitch to the control. Completely borked, I can’t see why they don’t look to Splatoon and Overwatch and see what good gyro works like and copy it. Will try a few matches, but initial impressions are not good. -

Multiplayer is drop in drop out, no more waiting in a lobby for a 3 man quest to finish, just join in, and then the hunt scales it’s difficulty to accommodate more or less players. Nice.
