Wii U is dead for sure. Mario Kart and Smash cannot save it! 3D World sales in the US just like everywhere else shows that even Wii U owners are not buying games. Really depressing that the current install base is ignoring such a good game. Honestly nintendo have to change there mindset when developing the next console. 3DS sales while not awful are not too great either. Should be closer to 1 million! Vita is well and truly dead.

Shame they didnt get the Wii U right. Thing is bombing all over mainland europe. 3DS is the machine europe loves. Good to see the Wii U boost in Japan though. Taiko isnt doing too well though, Namco should have released it on Wii. The next Taiko game should definitely be on the 3DS.

If them numbers are true then Nintendo may as well pack this thing up and be done. It will show that Mario cannot save it. So forget Mario Kart turning the tide! Honestly if the numbers are that bad then I would be moving all Wii U projects to 3DS ASAP. Why bother releasing big titles on Wii U when nobody actually cares. There is only so long you can keep support a dying machine. Comes a stage where you have to accept that its just not working.

So Wii U gamers are not buying 3D world. PS4 is hard to find and knack is still selling better. Why are Wii U gamers not buying it's best Game?

i question how many people would pay a sub for retro games. cant see it being popular. nintendo need to first create an impressive online community. start matching what the competition is offering and go from there.

well nintendo need to offer actual real accounts before any subscription service.. wink wink!! but seriously I would pay for online even without any free games on offer. If it meant that nintendo's online offerings where near or better then xbox live then it would be worth it.

So Mario charted @ 14th in the charts. Was behind knack but knack was included in PS4 bundles. Still Mario charting @ 14 is not great. Retail is not interested in Wii U.. It's done in the UK

moderate sales = bombing!! Nintendo and its shareholders wont be happy with that at all.

That's a very good post and shows exactly where Nintendo have gone wrong with the Wii U. Look @ the new Mario and sonic Olympics game. You can't play it unless you have controllers from a console that was released years ago. Makes no sense that a game released on a new console requires controllers from a previous one. Seems like Nintendo's whole strategy was to bank on the Wii gamers to rush out and buy Wii U consoles. This never happened so they now they are in a right mess.

The sad thing is that it seems like the Wii U install base has ignored Super Mario 3D World. Okay the game may not have sold consoles but @ the very least you would expect current Wii U owners to buy the game for sure. Are Wii U owners just now not actually bothered about the console they own or like liger said, have they traded in there machines. Maybe the 3DS has just killed Wii U's appeal. 3DS has all the quality Nintendo games and has the big and small 3rd parties on board.

i personally think it should have been a 3DS title from Day 1. What about Smash Bros. The 3DS version is really gonna suck them Wii U sales thats for sure. I honestly dont see what nintendo can do to dig the Wii U out of this hole. People say more advertising but that is not the reason it is not selling. You can advertise all you want but if people do not have any desire for it then your screwed. Blackberry with the Z10 should show people that blitz marketing is not the savior to problems. I think nintendo released a console that nobody wants. The lack of power in the machine is a problem and it has come back to bite. 8 years on and games are looking like previous Generation. Sorry guys but that was never gonna work again!

Wouldn't be surprised if Atlus were seriously thinking about switching it to 3DS. Wii U is Done! Consumers are not interested in the console.

I thought the new consoles were gonna do similar numbers to Wii U launch. Thought consumers wouldn't pay the £350+ etc etc. This is what some people in here were saying after Wii U bombed. Wii U is dead in the UK! No point living in denial.

no DS version is a good sign for 3DS as at least it wont be a DS port.

I think @ best the Wii U will hit Gamecube numbers. Ninty have the cash reserves to suffer Wii u Failure no doubt. the financial side is important but lets not forget market share. By the time we see Nintendo's new console they will have lost a huge amount of market share from what they had with the Wii. Getting it back will not be easy.

I would move SMT x Fire Emblem to 3DS also. That game should have been a 3DS project from day one. Anyway I have band brothers P.

I prefer the US advert. The UK one has that horrible voice doing the voice over. Wish nintendo would stop using that guy to be honest.

I think they maybe some small Wii U announcements All this talk of big Wii U news I just dont see. Nintendo have said themselves it is 3DS related.

Yeah this was predicted to happen by many people. Thing is if the Wii U doesnt start to pick up it can still get worse. Shops have limited shelf space so the console which is going to suffer is Wii U.
