  1. Taken from Reddit:

Nintendo direct rumored to be coming August 28th by Jeff Grubb who is a reliable source.

If true, it is supposed to be a smaller direct, or a direct related to the super mario 35th anniversary. To be honest, I just think people do this just to watch ResetEra have a meltdown :p

  2. PC VR support has been announced, and is launching first with the new HP Reverb G2 sometimes in september. Support for other VR headsets is coming at a later time.

I can't wait to try this with the new headset and a GTX 30-something when I get it all. The graphics... I've spent hours just studying the clouds, haha. I'm not much for sim games, but this has me hyped!

  3.

So, in late may a new headset was revealed. The upgrade to the racing and flight sim favorite, the HP Reverb G2. Now the release is finally starting to get near (I think it's been said it will ship sometime during september, but with covid 19 still on the loose, we'll see), and some previews of prototype versions are starting to flood onto youtube. It's looking like a real contender to the Valve Index, and is what the Oculus Rift S should have been in the first place. A good second generation PC VR headset.

The screens on this headset looks absolutely insane! Barely any screen door effect, great blackness, incredible resolution and overall as good as, if not better than, the Valve Index. I've got one preordered and I can't wait to play Star Wars Squadrons, Microsoft Flight Simulator, and whatever I can find. Just playing old VR games again will probably be a pretty different experience. I can actually read what the HUD says in Elite Dangerous this time around.

......now I just need to shell out for a new graphics card =_=

  4. A bunch of my mates told me about this game. It's about time we got a fresh take on the Battle Royale genre. I still haven't bought it, but it looks amazing and the next time we're having a game night online, I'll download it and play it. Can't wait :D

And thanks for the clips @drahkon, some of those were hillarious :p How did he even climb the crown instead of winning??

I am, if I'm not playing multiplayer or something on the Switch :) I'll see if I can find my username when I get home

It took me 7 days to get home, apparently :p My Blizzard username is ArtMediocre#2365. Add me if you want to play a few rounds now and then @LazyBoy. I'm not sure how much I'll be on voice, but if you manage to bear my norwegian accent, then we can try doing voice as well.

Well I opened up the Black Egg and had a few goes against the enemy within, still to try and finish it off, looking for the best combination of charms. Is that it after that? Just wondering if I should do a bit more exploring. According to the map I have 81% completion.

Is the Godhall thing worth doing?

There are multiple endings, so you shouldn't have to worry about it. If you clear the black egg, you can start off again just before the boss, just like in Zelda. Or you can just explore. It's up to you. Have you tried doing the colosseum of fools? That's a pretty good challenge.

The game has either broken it's street date, or we've got another case of a reviewer-turned-rogue. Great.

But at least we've got some confirmation on how Future Connected is being treated in the game, and a cutscene viewer sounds great:

Having not played the original, it doesn't change much for me: just avoid the story (of that and Future Connected). I don't have much of an investment in Future Connected not having played the main game, but it's clear as day to me how much the existing fan base are excited for it, and it'll suck for those inevitably spoiled by the selfishness of a few people on something they've been waiting a long time for, but especially so because they already have that investment in it.

Thanks for the heads up! I'm glad I don't use Twitter. Less chance of me getting spoilers from the game. But I guess I'll be a bit less active on youtube as well from now on.

I know that I won't be able to play this for a while. I'm too busy caring for my twins while playing Call of Duty. Gonna do the battle pass, and I'm about 8 levels from finishing it, so it shouldn't take too long. BUT I'm still struggling with finishing Torna. I'm maybe six hours in or so, so I have loads of more hours to play through until I'm done :S. And after that I still have Fire Emblem Three Houses. Jesus, why are there so many good games these days? I have no time for all this!!

OT: Future Connected being more or less a "standalone game" like Torna is great news for both new and old players alike! I'm glad they didn't just slap together a couple of fetch quests with some fanservice dialogue and called it a day. I'm really looking forward to the game now. Really feeling it!

After a wander and coming back I've managed to do it. Got the charm which makes your shadow dash do damage (which I didn't use in previous attempts,  and perfected the use of it on the Traitor Lord) and fapped my second dreamer.

    So a boombastic relief.

One dreamer left then onto whatever is next. May see if I want to get some more grubs, I defeated the Collector on my travels too.

Congratulations. I remember struggeling with that battle myself. I think everyone is having problems with that specific boss battle. That is where everyone starts questioning if they can manage the game or not. But by the gods, the feeling when you finally beat them is really, really good.

Thanks for keeping us up to speed on your progress through the game. Makes me remember a lot that I had forgotten, and it's a good trip down memory lane. Such a good game :D Looking more and more forward to Silk Song now! Keep us posted on your progress :)

@ArtMediocre where can I get that game EPIC  are giving away ?

Like @Jonnas said, it's at Epic Games Store. They give away games for free every week to sway customers to switch from Steam to Epic. Everything from small indie games to big launches like this. It is still available, until the 23rd, so head on over to https://www.epicgames.com/, make an account and "buy" Just Cause 4 and Wheels of Aurelia :D

  10. @Happenstance, you ought to check out Razer Ornata Chroma. It's a keyboard between mechanical and membrane keys, with low profile and an actual good look seeing that it comes from Razer. I use it every day, and it's less clicky, types like a dream, and comes with a palm rest that is really, really good. It's not too expensive either.

  11. I've decided to sell off my Oculus Rift CV1, with hopes to upgrade to a better platform when I have time and space for VR. With twins in the house, we needed to shuffle our stuff around a bit, and naturally my big play space ended up being a bedroom again. So long, 4x4 meter of virtual joy!

I thought that with Half Life: Alyx being out (which I made sure to play though), and every VR system being sold out in the entire country of Norway until maybe august or something, it would be a prime time to sell off the old headset from 2016. Last time I listed the headset on our version of gumtree, I got an offer of about £180. This was around Black Friday last year. But this time I listed it at around £230, which is a good price here in Norway for an old, used headset. I ended up selling it off for about £330, which is insane. So now I just need to wait and see if Valve releases the Index here in the next two or three years, so that we can move to a new house with space, and then set things up.

  12. This is probably the best game I've played since Breath of the Wild or Mario Odyssey. Stunning graphics, really, really well told story, and insane environments. The controls were silky smooth, and the physics engine... wow. EVERYTHING is interactive. It's insane. And the follow up on the story of Half Life. Man oh man, I did not see that ending coming.

.....and for those of you who've played the game. I hate Jeff. But I also love him. Jesus, that was insanely tense.
