  1. Yes, you do have a point. Probably they will discover another trick to render similar graphics, but still this is the most accurate technique to render more realistic graphics, and the most simple, as far as my knowledge goes, since it is a very straight forward technique. I don't think GPU's are the main problem here, since ray-tracing depends heavily on CPU-based calculations and ram to calculate and render those accurate shadows and lightning effects.
  2. Ehhh...hummm... I really don't know what to think about this. Despite beeing a interesting, VERY interesting idea, I don't really think that Nintendo has adopted such a form of rendering. For those who want to see what ray-tracing is capable of, check out this image: And for those who want to know more about this, go HERE This is a very heavy process for even top-notch CPU's, and although I believe that in time processors will be able to run smoothly this applications, I find it a VERY remote chance that a console utilises such based operations. Just my 2 cents, though
  3. Yes...the controller was revealed, but they do seem addicted to those mockups:D! Actually, I think the shotgun one is sweet!Imagine playing with it in Resident Evil 4!
  4. OH...MY...GOD... I...JUST...CRAPPED.....MY PANTS....OFF.... PLEASE....GO....TO.....THIS.....SITE! http://atomchip.com/_wsn/page4.html
  5. Believe me, you are not the only one...
  6. Yes, this is a great find to all our Sony fanboys friends ! I've already put this image as background image, so they can BURN just like vampires in front of a cross !!LOL
  7. Yeah, you're right :P. But I actually didn't thought about it. After seeing this, I was so "ROFL!" that I actually forgot that I had already opened other thread with other funny stuff...
  8. Check out this images!!!
  9. Well, this image really sumarises all my fears, really. They've done it in the past, and I'm pretty sure that they'll do it again, sooner or later. Especially because this is REALLY the future of gaming. And after I saw on gamespot a piece of news which said "This controller is still a concept design", I became even more worried... But let us hope that Sony forgets this controller!! The console and its games are already on a deep development process, so I don't think they will rearrange their SDK's to support this kind of controller. At least, for a while. I wouldn't be surprised if 6 months after PS3 launch they would come with a "TV-like remote" controller, though...
  10. watch this: http://ps3remote.ytmnd.com/ ROFL :D
  11. Bring on Jedi Knight 3 and Rogue Squadron 4!!!!!! Also, a F-Zero sequel would also be welcome :D:D:D!!!! OMG, I just pissed myself just thinking what would be to control a lightsaber on that controller:D!!!!
  12. LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

    Finally!

Yes, it is the same guy. Actually, after that claim, we continued to create even more bold claims. This guy said that we worked in the military, in Nintendo of America and even in a marketing company.

    Finally!

well, I guess that people here at revo-europe are not familiar with the annoying liar SeriousGamer007...From all the liars that said that they knew what the revolution was, this one was the biggest. This guy had even legal problems by affliating Nintendo with companies that in no way were affiliated with Nintendo. But, if you people don't know who Serious Gamer is, please feel free to do a research in google about SeriousGamer007... You will find real interesting stuff about this guy. When I opened this thread, I was really convinced that just for once, everybody who did a research about revolution would come across with this name. Again, if you feel that this isn't the place to discuss this thread, please, lock this.

    Finally!

Yes!! I was looking foward to this day! Serious Lamer 007 is gone LOL !Ok, I know that this isn't really a great deal, but, I feel that, after months of wild speculation (and lies), WE ALL MUST FEEL RELIEVED that this guy vanished. In his quest to hype Nintendo and their Revolution, he actually harmed more Nintendo than he beneficted, by creating unrealistic expectations. Actually, I'm surprised that this guy didn't said that the Revolution would create a Matrix simulation on your head. But, SeriousGamer007 isn't as stupid as it seems. This guy, who entitled himself as King of Gamers (ROFL who the f**k he think he is??) vanished, claiming that he was thrown to the wolves by Nintendo, simply because Nintendo decided not to show in TGS the "other revolutionary features" that he had predicted... Well, saying that was a nice excuse, wasn't it? Seriously, what a serious loser... Note: If this thread covers something that has been discussed already,or the moderators feel that this doesn't belong in this section, than please, lock/move this thread.
  17. Yes, Nintendo as really surpassed my expectations. The more I think about it, more ideas come to my mind. Just imagine what a Star wars game would feel like played on Revolution. Imagine holding a lightsaber just by holding the controler. Imagine what it would feel like to wave and fight with the controller, strike down enemies, deflect lasers, control ships with the movement of your hand... The possibilities are endless. If a new Rogue Squadron is shipped with Revolution, you bet your ass that I sleep in front of a store one week before the Revolution launch, waiting it to come out. Honestly, I never expected that Nintendo would come out it such a controller. After months of wild especulation, and tons of fan-made mockups, Nintendo still managed to surprise the industry. Wether people agree or not with the concept, we must understand that our opinions are irrelevant. Just like the N64 pad revolutionised the industry (and became a standard), this pad will revolutionise the gaming experience, and I honestly expect to see these controller become a industry standard.God damit, the wait is so painful...
