The Gentlemen's Mafia II - Hunter's Chance
Fierce_LiNk replied to Jonnas's topic in General Chit Chat
I took your advice about exposing a mafia/leaving them wide open. If you're not mafia, then I'll be looking into ReZ/voting for him tomorrow. If you are mafia, then we've lynched you, and ReZ was right. We're tight/stuck for leads, at the moment. There's you (According to ReZ) and probably Eddie. So, this seems like the natural move to make. -
Just out of curiosity, where do you want to keep the weight? Like Beyonce, eh? On the arse?

The time-limit gave the game its urgency, though. Otherwise, it would just have become way too easy. You would have been able to take your sweet time, with any real need to rush. If you made a mistake, it wouldn't matter too much, since there wasn't anything at stake. With the time limit, it was beautiful. It was all "fuck, fuck, fuck, gotta get this right..." It gave the game its pace. I really did feel like I was stranded on that planet with Olimar and was in real danger.

Because of the long night phases, it feels like you have to discuss pretty much everything in the Gentlemen's mafia. Like, there's so much you want to discuss and find out, because you know you won't get another chance for a few days once it goes into night phase mode. It's a good game. Really hard, though. It seems very hard to find information about other characters, so that's why it tends to be discussion based and all theorised.

Lol, ReZ. "If" Dyson comes back good? I thought you said the dude was evil? -

If Dyson does turn out to be town, it does seem entirely fair to look into ReZ. I was unsure whether or not his cat was coming back with the correct info or not, whether it was ambiguous. But, to hear that it was a definite answer...this is nervy, heh. Cmaaaan taaaawn. -
Felt quite sorry for Avram at the time. Chelsea were one kick away from winning the Champions League Final, and one win away from winning the league. I bet he still would have been sacked anyway.

Right, well in that case I'll put my vote back onto Dyson. Vote: Dyson Oh god, this is tense. -

I'm just waiting for ReZ's answer to my question. Willing to take a chance... -

ReZ, did your information specifically say that he was evil/mafia? Or, did it just imply that he rough? Like you said your cat was scared. -

Ah, never knew that. My apologies. That is mega cautious, but this is a tricky game, so I don't blame you. You have a sound argument. There does seem to be an overload of protectors. But, we know Dyson is one (I think) since he protected me earlier (when he blocked 4 others). Like you say, it's all about alignment. So far, it doesn't look like he has done much wrong. So, I'm more inclined to believe that he is good. Hmm. -

For the first vote? Does that happen? I thought it was last vote? -

Heeeey, that hurts! I always target that person in the hope that we find out something new. So, if somebody is acting suspicious to me, I'll target them and wait for the info. They're not wrong targets. I'm a bit concerned that ReZ didn't vote for Dyson first. If I was dead certain that somebody was mafia, I'd be falling over my own feet and rushing to get my vote up there. A part of me is worried about the similarities between this and Mundi's lynching. They could both just be tough characters. -

I'm confused. Didn't Dyson protect me earlier? Didn't he say there were 4 people or so trying to target me? That was him, right? -

If we lynch the foo' and he turns out to be town, surely you can see that this looks pretty bad for you, yes? Is there any possibility that your information may have been tampered with or isn't accurate, or something? -
Take care of yourself, Iun. May the flames of Persephone protect you.

What did your info about Dyson say exactly? Earlier, the write-up note said that he was quite a rough person. But, he hadn't done anything that night, so nothing more was revealed. I was suspicious of him, and still am. -
I bet Arsene Wenger is glad he's not at Chelsea. Pretty ridiculous. Clearly the guy is a good manager. He won the double last season, second this season. It's not exactly a disaster, is it? Honestly, you'll be hard-pressed to find a manager willing to come in. Rumour has it you still want Hiddink. Hope he doesn't go.

There's plenty of other attacking teams in the league. Did you not see the Newcastle result? What about the game between Wolves and Blackburn? Apparantly, this season has been the highest scoring Premier League season to date. Can anyone confirm that? I'm sad to see that Owen Hargreaves has been released. Too many injuries and nobody can safely say when he was going to play again anyway. I hope a good team snaps him up and gets him playing football again. Carlo has been sacked by Chelsea. Shocking.

Fierce_LiNk replied to yoyo's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I don't think it's that far-fetched that Nintendo will use 3DS/Cafe(Wii2/Whatever) connectivity in some capacity in the future, even if that's just one game. A bit surprised that there was nothing made of it on the Wii, when something could have been done. They experimented with it with the Cube/GBA. However, there are downsides. It's expensive, and very fiddly. You'd need one home console, and then one handheld per person. With the Cube, you still needed wires. And, that's not even counting software. Feasibility wise, it's not that great. I can see why Nintendo would do it, because it has some awesome gameplay opportunities. However, at the same time, I can understand why they wouldn't. There's a few too many factors involved that possibly stand in the way of that idea taking off. It isn't a big money spinner. Maybe a few years down the line when a larger majority have access to a Cafe and a 3DS, then maybe. At launch? Naaaah. -
Interesting football is great. But, I'm sure most teams would rather work on their defending, rather than going all out and getting smashed by other teams. You need a balance. You can't win games by just defending, and you can't win games by going all out and defending badly. You need both. You need balance throughout the team. Blackpool are imbalanced. Hence why they're fighting to stay up.

Immortality defeats the whole point of living a human life, imo. You're born, you grow up, you accomplish things, and then you die. You leave behind a legacy of some sort, whether that's people you've affected through your work, or you leave behind a family that you've raised, or something else. Living forever would defeat the whole idea of that. Also, talk about repetitive. Plus, you wouldn't see any progression at all with your own life. You would effectively be stuck at one point in time, standing still whilst the rest of the world moves. Getting older isn't a bad thing, because that is your own progression through life. There's certain things that you need to experience, no matter how bad that they are.
