  1. My favourite Zelda game. Incredible news, and will more than make the wait for a proper Wii U Zelda worth it. I wonder what they meant about tweaking the gameplay. I suppose adding in the missing dungeons would be too much to ask for.
  2. Yep I'm guessing that's as far as 'new games' goes. Won't stop people going OTT on hype though. They'll save the big guns for E3
  3. WTF?? Not only are they seeing things that aren't there and inventing a ridiculously convoluted decoding, they're missing the most obvious to all message in the title: U R M I A L Y You are my ally = Yoshi.
  4. I actually thought that ad was pretty good, and explained the console pretty well to people who know nothing about it (which is most people). Better than the other Wii U ads I've seen. Well done, you win a prize!
  5. Upper circle, front row, block 8 I think :-) Should be a good view
  6. Booked Good seats too, warning for others, use the seating plan tab so you can pick exactly where you want to sit.
  7. Eh? My point was that the level design in Mario U is pretty much identical to the other three NSMBs. Mix them all up and you wouldn't know which was from which installment. Nothing new here, except HD visuals. I've just finished 3D Land for the second time, now there's quality level design. Mario U has very bog standard gameplay for the most part, especially in comparison.
  8. I just can't understand how anyone can possibly think that. The levels are bog standard NSMB fare, the same predictable stuff we've gotten three times previously and the usual left to right with a few obstacles and easily uncovered hidden bits behind walls. Now, Super Mario 3D Land on the other hand, fantastic level design.
  9. The green they've used on the box art is hurting my eyes
  10. Good because "Professor Layton & the Remains of an Advanced Civilization" sounded terrible
  11. Surely they wouldn't release a 5th NSMB? Mario 3D Land 2 would be very welcome however Can't see the 3DS and Wii U being connected. The whole point is that the Wii U is similar to a 3DS, why would people need four screens?
  12. A new Wii Sports would be fantastic. Happily see it based on Wuhu Island again, love that place. Surely a new Zelda will be announced at E3? Probably the 3DS one. Wouldn't be surprised to see Super Mario Universe unveiled this year. I can't see them announcing console Mario and Zelda games at the same E3, so one this year and one next?
  13. Started playing through this game again, and can't put it down. What a fantastic little gem it is. Far better than NSMBU, way more polished, more depth, and just generally more fun, IMO. Great levels, loads more originality and innovation, and not a re-used sound track in sight! The perfect blend of Galaxy and SMB3
  14. The last time you battle Kamek is a joke. EDIT: Finished the game. This is only my second Paper Mario game but I really enjoyed it, flawed as it was occasionally. Fantastic charm and a lot of fun. Oh and the end credits/parade were fantastic! So much better than the lazy NSMB ones.
  15. I certainly don't think Galaxy and post-MM Zelda were bad, far from it, the Galaxies and Wind Waker were incredible. All I meant was IMO recently Nintendo have gotten a bit lazy with their flagship titles.
  16. Sorry yeah, 4-5. I went there straight from 4-1, off to look for a second exit...
  17. As if we haven't had the exact same forest, sand, ice levels a thousand times before. My heart sank a bit when I saw another forest area for world 5. Sums up Nintendo's recent laziness when it comes to Mario/Zelda recently. One question though, I'm stuck on level 4-2, there's scrap sticker that needs sticking to get through the level but it's not in that level and as usual Kirstee is no help whatsoever. Any subtle hints about where to look, without spelling it out too much?
  18. 22 hours sounds good, I was worried it would be quite short. The levels are nice and long too. Reminds me of Mario 3D Land in terms of the platforming, and that's a very good thing. Also it doesn't seem anywhere near as text heavy as Super Paper Mario, where it was ridiculous how much characters waffled on pointlessly.
  19. LOVING this game, they couldn't have crammed any more Nintendo charm if they tried. Only started playing it yesterday and I've done all the levels of world 1. I'm trying to go slowly but I can't put it down for long! Is the game quite short? Or a decent length?
  20. Never stopped being on friendly terms Grazza, doesn't mean we can't disagree on things
  21. As usual CF, you talk a lot of sense
  22. Agreed, it was very samey to the other three NSMB games. Most of the levels were identical, just with different obstacles in Mario's way. There were some great levels, the rest was the same boring, repetitive rubbish we'd played three times prior. It's a fun game, but no more. The laziness on the part of the soundtrack bugs me most I think, to actually use the exact same tracks as the other NSMBs is just ridiculous.
  23. Good point Rummy. To be honest, as much as I adore the game and would like a 3DS remake, I'd prefer a brand new Zelda game. They can release MM 3D a year later or something.
