  1. Surprised they needed moving at all considering it was obvious I was talking about Nintendo developers not Nintendo publishers.
  2. Wake > playing Zelda must take about 5 seconds, it's crazy.
  3. Other openworld games could learn a lot from Nintendo's first shot at it.
  4. They're not perfect reviews, they're perfect scores. Of course the game isn't perfect, no game is, it has flaws, as the reviews allude to.
  5. It absolutely was clickbait. You don't give a game that's had perfect scores from pretty much every major outlet, is the best rated game in a decade, a 7/10 and not do it for attention. Plus the fact that he waited a week before publishing it, thereby getting everyone's full attention. I fail to see how that's a conspiracy theory. I don't care that one person thought the game was average, he's entitled to his opinion but people are delusional if they think he didn't put out a 7/10 to get a reaction.
  6. Absolutely. It's just a shame he had to write a click bait review of Zelda as a precursor to the above. Give the game a 7/10, wait for the reaction, then write a proper story about fanboys.
  7. People take review scores too seriously for sure, but his review and the timing of it was pure click bait. His agenda even more clear after that follow up.
  8. Another very clever video from Arlo defending the game's breakable weapons mechanic, which I personally love. I think it adds a ton of depth and strategy to the gameplay, but this video explains it better
  9. I think even expecting it to be £30-40 cheaper within 6-9 months is pushing it. More likely they'll do a bundle with Mario Kart 8D and charge £299 for it, or something like that.
  10. "A console just for one game" - So you're never planning on buying another game on Switch in it's entire lifespan? Oh. Might I suggest, if you're going to spend £280 in November for Mario, why not just spend the same £280 in March, enjoy the best version of Zelda, at home or on the go, and any other games between now and the end of the year.
  11. The front row at Apple conferences are filled with company executives and they're the ones making most of the noise and applause during announcements. When the camera cuts to the crowd you can see it's mostly them applauding and barely any others behind them. I'd forgotten about her. Cringey.
  12. What a beautiful game this is, the visuals, the sound, the world design, the way the systems interact. Just wonderful.
  13. I must be reading a different online to you. Reaction's been hugely positive from what I've seen.
  14. Have you played it? Everyone who's played it has loved it, or at least that seems to be the reaction online. I suspect it's going to be a hit as big as Splatoon is.
  15. Clickbait. It's strange though, the European sites are the ones "dragging down" the Metacritic score.
  16. If Zelda, Bomberman, Fast RMX, SnipperClips, Shovel Knight, Arms, Splatoon, Xenoblade, Fire Emblem, Mario Kart 8D, and the many dozens of other games out before Mario doesn't interest you, then sure, wait. But why not just buy it now? If he's going to buy it anyway, why not play the best version of Zelda and have the option of other games on top of that? Plus we don't know if Zelda is the only thing Peeps is interested in. The argument that you're paying £330 to play Zelda is ridiculous. Yes people are experiencing issues, I never questioned that but the dock thing especially is such a minority issue I don't even think it's worth bringing up. As of yet we've seen that one single photo of a scratched screen, nothing else.
  17. I really disagree with this. You're paying £45 to play Zelda on Switch, + £280 to have Nintendo's new console for the next few years. There's loads of other games worth playing on Switch. Yes the Wii U version runs completely fine, but it runs better on Switch, is portable, and if you're going to buy the console anyway, why not just do it now. My dock isn't bent, wi-fi works fine and I haven't had any de-sync issues.
  18. If you're going to buy it eventually, you may as well just buy it now and play the best version of Breath of the Wild on it. If (big if) there is a price drop at the end of the year, I think it's unlikely to be more than £20-30, if that. They might do a £300 bundle with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe or something. Contrary to popular belief, there are plenty of games out for it, Fast RMX, SnipperClips and Shovel Knight are all brilliant, and as mentioned MK8 Deluxe next month and ARMS soon after. Plus a ton of amazing looking indie games they recently unveiled, most of which are coming out in the next few months. Unless a (potential) 20-30 quid saving means that much to you, I'd jump in now. I absolutely love mine.
  19. As fun as it is, it feels a little weird to be hunting deer as a mini game!! I'm surprised Nintendo haven't gotten shit for it (yet)
  20. The second village you come across is certainly pretty looking, even more so than the first!
  21. What about the option in settings to default to a certain account?
  22. I think this place is a bit better these days to be honest, with a new system to talk about brings some meaningful chat. I think there's plenty of positivity in the Switch thread, most people who have bought it are chuffed with it, apart from a few small issues so I'm not sensing much hostility. Granted it probably helps I've put Happenstance on ignore, but otherwise seems a much friendlier place lately.
