  1. With that logic, any game that showed one or two areas in the demo looks like a mini-game mode.
  2. That's a complete understatement. I mean hell, at the end, he questioned the other guy, in a surprised tone, that he wanted quality over quantity.
  3. "I'm glad Nintendo brought back Bayonetta, but they shouldn't do M rated games" What?? Splatoon looks like a mini-game?? Good lord.
  4. Pic of the day. Here's Donkey Kong's third standard special attack, Storm Punch!! Thanks to the customization options, each fighter is stocked with 12 different special moves. The number of attacks is pretty appalling. We've made it so that customization options, including special attacks, will be disabled when you're playing online in With Anyone mode. After all, we have to think about game balance, and it's crucial for anonymous players to be able to use reliable tactics against one another. When you're playing in single player, battling with friends online, or playing locally, you're free to play however you want--with or without customization.
  5. I can imagine that each "book" is like a world.
  6. Pfft. Don't be silly. 25, clearly.
  7. Yeah. Don't worry, there will be more than 20.
  8. Saw this earlier and it gave me a chuckle
  9. Like you implied, doing that 4 months before the game is out is a waste of money. Look at Mario Kart 8. The marketing push didn't start until a few weeks before launch. As such, what they're doing is fine now. Keep it in the mind of the core for now, and bring it to the mass populace when the time comes.
  10. We all know it's another Rabbids game which would only sell 30k on a successful console, let alone a Wii U.
  11. To be fair, with Black & White, and even moreso in X & Y, they really severely reduced the HM requirements. Even Surf was seldom used.
  12. I wholeheartedly disagree. I know many people who aren't elite competitive players who play and enjoy it, despite not being kids
  13. By change up, I don't mean in a good way. By adding a fifth move, it would just destroy everything. Say you have a Scolipede. Instead of using it for setup or as an attacker, you have enough moves to do both and destroy. By not limiting the moves, you can let people run with everything. Pokémon will no longer have gaps people can take advantage of and so forth. As for the Mega Evolution style thing, having something like that which doesn't have a hindrance would be horrifically broken. That's why Mega Evolution exists and takes up the item slot. It makes it so you have to strategically think if it is actually worth it. Just having anything similar and having it as a slot every Pokémon has would be horrific and pointless. As for HMs, the idea is for them to be moves with outside effects that you use to progress. Having an HM slot would screw with balance due to point 1 and screw with the entire concept
  14. By giving an extra move slot, you completely change up strategies. Pokémon will become more overpowered and it'd be absolute carnage. They didn't select 4 on a whim. A fifth move for something comparable to a Mega EVolution...no that too would be broken. As for a dedicated HM slot, that goes against the concept of HMs. It'd be a bit pointless.
  15. 1. To an extent, I agree. But if you overlevel, of course it'll be easy 2. That would massively screw the balance of the game. Never going to happen. 3. It does.
  16. Pic of the day. Pac-Man's standard special move, Bonus Fruit. As you charge this move, the bonuses will change, and all of them have different characteristics and movement patterns when thrown. The bonuses cycle in the same order as in the original game, and the charge-up period doubles once you cycle beyond the orange.
  17. Well we have similar boosts everywhere else, so there. No, it is a turnaround. It's not a massive turnaround, but it's a turnaround.
  18. 20k if they're lucky. Word is that it's become impossible to find again.
  19. The Japanese language loves its !s
  20. Considering it was at 5k, yes. A turnaround is a turnaround. The Japanese games industry is not in a good place, and this value is higher than it was ergo it's a turnaround. It's not a massive one, but it's one nonetheless. Stop trying to diminish things.
  21. Yeah, sales in Japan are in the toilet across the board.
  22. Wii U sales have held in Japan at 12.2k. Mario Kart 8 has reclaimed the top spot with 42,261 units sold last week. PS4 still at 8k. It's good to see a turnaround
  23. It's not downloading yet for me, and I have a couple of weeks of data I have yet to put on the courses so will be rinsing these through soon :p Almost up to the Danube, that's 2700km since December... ...I think I work out too much haha.
  24. V 1.3.0 is out today
