General Gaming Sales/Charts Discussion
Serebii replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Xbox One's first week sales in Japan are known: 23,562 This is the worst launch since 1998 with the SNK NeoGeoPocket which did 21,471. Even the Bandai SwanCrystal did better in less time. Console gaming really is dead over there. -

I'll be streaming it at http://twitch.tv/serebiijoe on Friday from around 4pm to 5pm until I pass out -
Just Mario, Link, Pikachu, Villager and Mega Man, and the only stage is Battlefield, either in normal mode with items or Final Destination without

Been playing it this morning. It's quite good. Takes some getting used to. I'm only owning as Pikachu and Mega Man at the moment.

Pic of the day. Users in Japan, you can now download the demo for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS! You can pick among 5 fighters with which to play. The stage is Battlefield, and the rules are fixed. There will be a few items and assist trophies available too. You can battle via local wireless, so have fun battling with your friends. For users outside of Japan, stay tuned for more news about the demo for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. Screen shot is from Japanese version. The only mode available on the demo version is Smash, but I also left open a feature called Tips. Just remember to tap that button. You'll figure the rest out once you do.

General Gaming Sales/Charts Discussion

It's also indicative of the fact those two games are out very soon (one out now) and that's when pre-orders for games tend to ramp up. -
Soundtrack is being released, exclusive to iTunes, next week http://platinumgames.com/2014/09/09/happy-anniversary/

Pic of the day. In Classic mode, a roller spins before every stage to determine your reward. Rewards in red are for customization, green ones are trophies, and yellow means precious gold. Of course, if you raise the intensity, the abundance of these rewards will increase quite a bit, too. You can be rewarded in every stage, so in that way this mode might be a little more generous compared to previous games in the series. And here's the results screen. It shows what you gained in each stage, but you won't be rewarded until you clear it all. If you mess up in the middle, you can lose some of them too. The fighter icons are special attacks, and icons like the shield are equipment. The icons that say Mii on them are hats and clothes for Mii characters. Icons that show characters on a stand are trophies, of course, and the coins are gold you earned.

1. Online may be a bit lacking in areas, but it still exists, and is still well used where it makes sense to. Pokémon X & Y has some of the best online I have seen, in fact. 2. No. New Super Mario Bros. U and Pikmin 3 have had DLC. A few others too but I can't quite place them, if you're limiting to home console. However, he said Nintendo, not home console. 3. It has had online in HALF of its titles. It doesn't matter if it was "bare bones". It has had online. If he had said it has "good online now", then yeah, you'd have a point. However, he did not. Nope. Pikmin 3 had loads of paid DLC, and New Super Mario Bros. U had DLC too.

I didn't realise I copied the first sentence :p
-
You're right. Usage of the words "and" & "the" are contextually valid and used correctly. Well, and the first sentence :p Yes they have It has had for almost 10 years Not true at all The first time was three years ago. Mind boggling because it is so absurdly not true The first bit is absolutely not true, and the last bit is a subjective argument. Clearly from DLC they have learned from others.

You say Pachter isn't wrong? http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2014-09-08-the-end-of-the-console-era-as-we-know-it Everything about that paragraph is wrong.

Likely to conflict with my Smash 3DS stream
-
I never said Nintendo shouldn't improve various things, such as account system and online infrastructure. I fully support that. However, don't forget that a large number of home gaming's biggest innovations came from Nintendo. Yes, the GamePad may have been a mis-step (I personally believe it is the greatest thing to come to gaming in a while, but that's for another discussion), but that doesn't mean they should just stop being creative with their hardware.
