It would require more processing power to the point that it would be equivalent to a successor. That's the thing.

Doing so would require more spec upgrades than the n3DS is receiving. It would also require more to the developers of n3DS exclusive/enhanced games. You're asking for the n3DS to be a new console altogether, and that's not what a hardware revision does. You need to accept that the n3DS is just a 3DS. Seriously.

That's odd, I never have issues with it, though I do shift my hand down slightly when using it, just because it's a bit more logical to... Cost of living etc. is the whole thing with different economies and why products, whether it's food, clothes, a TV, a Nintendo product, a fan, a clock etc. cost more for us than in certain other places. So to make the OS faster, downloads faster etc. is "a lot less useful" than just increasing the resolution, causing issues with all legacy games and creating a divide between game developments? Ok.

Increasing resolution isn't as simple as just putting a screen with more pixels in, it would require more power, recoding of a lot of things etc. to the point it does make it a new system
