1. Yes, like the desert missed the rain. Where'd you go? ----------- Blurgh I've been in bed all day, feel so rubbish. I wish I knew what's wrong.
2. As if there was a game today. Edit: Damn!
3. No worries. I just threw up when I read 'fanx' though! I hope you like it Rez, I'll bring monday.
4. Fargo I thought I'd better see this as everyone goes on about it, and now I'm sorry I left it so long. It's funny, brutal, and wry...a great black comedy. The performance by Frances McDormand is stunning, she's so lovable. And steve buscemi is just one of my favourite actors anyway, hilarious and creepy at the same time. William H Macy also plays desperation to a tee. It's just so perfectly written and performed, top notch.
5. Today at work was fun, it felt like the last day of term at school. Loads of decorations, everyone pissing about and having a laugh. Felt pretty groggy and hungover though, was a good halloween party last night! Won a bottle of cava (haha, sounds lame, but was really ace, I never win anything) and somehow the DJ found out my full name and was harrassing me to sing. Was funny but it didn't happen, I just...can't sing, at all. I blame Rez for the hangover, he dragged me kicking and screaming up town after the party, still is all goooood. Two of our colleagues got together and started eating each others faces off much like 15 year olds, was very funny. Tonight I was meant to be going to another party on actual halloween and I couldn't be bothered. Ah well. P.s. ^^^ Rez, you are....special.
6. Oooh you like crystal castles? I've seen them twice, in leeds and manc. Both small venues and absolutely awesome. I <3 Alice.
7. ^^Not even going to comment on the love issue, in a 'don't open that door' kind of way. Every time I come into work looking visibly tired (which is quite often) people assume I've been having loads of sex. It's just not true, gah! No boyfriend and don't just randomly sleep around. *sings... that's why the lady is a tramp*.
8. The green light still comes on when you put it in (thats what she said) but one of the little plasticy bits is bent up to shit. Hmm Ill show you tomorrow.
9. hmmmm I wonder how much a 1GB sandisk for wii is, may have just broken Rezs.
10. ''Nevertheless, although it is the BBC with its neck in the noose, Ross will suffer collaterally when he returns, as return he will. He has two big numbers playing against him: 47, which is his age, 6 million which is what he earns a year from the licence payer. By comparison his co-defendant, Russell Brand, is a baby of 33 and earns a pitiful £200,000 a year from his Radio Two show (on which the jape actually was broadcast)'' Taken from The Times. The only newspaper I believe in. Best proof I could find.
11. Pretty sure he's on a 3 year contract of £18 million, that makes £6 million a year. *goes to find proof*
12. Yeah quitting for Brand is just a bit easier I think, especially with channel 4 behind him, BBC aren't paying him £6 million a year as they are Ross.
13. Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross have been suspended from the BBC over prank calls they made to Andrew Sachs (Fawlty Towers) on their radio 2 show. In the calls they joked that Brand had slept with Sachs granddaughter (a burlesque performer) along with other provocative comments and lurid language. 18 000 people have complained to the BBC and the presenters have been condemned by Gordon Brown himself. I was just reading some interesting comments in the Times about it, saying how Britain has an open minded sense of humour, but at the end of the day it depends on who the subject is. Jokes about race are not tolerated, but many people accept xenophobic jokes about the French or Polish for example. It does seem that people can be extremely hypocritical about what they find acceptable or offensive. I'm not saying it wasn't out of order, but I think part of the reason for the uproar is because of the subject, it's Andrew Sachs, a lovable character from a popular TV show. Would it be different if it was someone else? Or are people more annoyed at the rude/obscene nature of the comments? Anywho I like Friday Night with Jonathan Ross so I hope they don't get sacked! Any thoughts on this??
14. Hmm it seems Uni has changed since I was there, or maybe I'm just not as classy!
15. Congrats coolness! I worked at M&S (ladieswear) one uni summer and it was great actually. They paid loads, got discount on the yummy foods and also clothes for my mother! A very good company to work for I'd say.
16. Saw V Already been well discussed so I'll keep it brief. It was enjoyable, but they should have stopped long ago. The flashbacks were cool to explain stuff and give answers but they weren't scary or tense because obviously it had already happened. And I kinda like to be scared/tense most of the time in a horror film. 5/10
17. I like medium-medium long (ha) hair on a guy, its not about shortness... for me anywho! (Rez did you mean 'write'? ) Mmmmm James.
18. Yeah that would be my red carded keeper! *sulks*. Still only lost by 1, it's all gravy
19. You're a star, thanks. So this is what happened. It looks more like some kind of political statement but I went with it, and I like it.
20. hmmm, the file is 98.0 KB and the limit is 97.7 KB, any suggestions?
21. Bring it on Dom, I'm ready for you! Well maybe, in some ways. Yeah.
22. It wasn't ''curtatious'' (that's a made up word), he loves you, he...wants to be on you. I am going to said halloween works party too, maybe I'll wear a white jump suit. Then maybs another party on friday, woop.
23. Spooks Series 7 Ep 1 I'm possibly the only person who still loves spooks, but I don't care! First ep was wow wow wee wah Just so tense and shocking and exciting. This is probably completely unecessary but....
24. ^^ Yep I hear you. Well, not about lucozade but... after being at uni living away, coming back home and living with my parents can be testing to say the least. Not to sound like a 12 year old but tonight I've been told I have to ''tidy my room for the plumber'', just blurgh.
