He is a jerk and I usually shrug him off but he pushes and pushes, now when I ever I pick up my maths book to study I just think whats the point!

Its my Maths teacher thats making me feel low. He constantly says Im useless and generally doesn't like me! knocked my confidence a bit.

Has anyone got any Advice for me. As I am doing AS Maths and out of my 4 AS's its the one im stuggling with,(I blame my absolutely useless Maths teacher). I've checked the maths tutors in my immediate area and none of them do above GCSE. I really need an A in Maths to strenghten my pursuit of doing medicine at Uni. No amount of work I put into Maths seems to help me. (My own Maths teacher said Im useless and that he dislikes me:weep: ) I think it may have affected my confidence in my own ability. any Advice?

Oh defo. It wont stay like that, I'll have to choose between UCL and Nottingham. the 2nd two will be easier to get into because tbh there is no 'easy' option.

BMAT and UKCAT is very neccessary now. I would love to go to most Uni's tbh but my top 3 are. Imperial College UCL Nottingham I think I can get AABB at AS. Goron nice to know: peace:

Ahh Nice:) Any thing that would benefit me really. Im going on a Medicine course tommorow (Medisix at Nottingham Uni) so I'll be away for 4 days. If you don't mind asking; What were your 4 Medicine Unis? What did you get at Alevel and AS? Did you do BMAT and UKCAT? and any additional info would be great!

I was wondering how a thread like this would fare on a games website! Lets be honest most of us come to "n-europe" to escape our schools/colleges/ and work. But I think a thread where you can talk about troubles and achievements would be beneficial to most of us, even if it is to have a rant. To start the thread off I will say, A-levels are a BITCH. Im really not enjoying this year at all. So much work and so much commitment is needed. I need to get mainly A grades in Maths, Chemistry, Biology and English if I want to even consider doing Medicine and I have been flunking Maths so HARD. (got ABCD in my mocks) guess what the 'D' was in! Not too mention my maths teacher is a real c***. (explicitly said he hated me) BTW anyone who has advice on how to get into Medicine and how to choose careers I'd much appreciate it.

I just found the whole thing boring as hell. The Villian was also very uncharachteristic and the movie just didn't leave a lasting impression. I'd give it 2/5:(

300- Was undeniably underwhelmingly Awesome. Artistic style and Visual effects were phenomenal, fight scenes some of the best ever. However like many have said, ending was unsatisfying and the story needed a bit more depth (having studied the Spartan Civilisation) and more of a build up to the colossal fight scenes. The scripting was brilliant in its melodrama and the whole experience akin to a rollercoster ride (NEVER BORING) in reverse. made 2 hours feel like 5 minutes. I also give it top marks for Historical accuracy and attention to detail among all the fantastical visual representations. However, I didn't feel a substantial rapport between any of the characters was established and was surprising un-emotional at some of the more heart-wrenching moments. The lack of depth is whole heartedly forgiven when compared with the titanic, awe-inspiring battle scenes that literally make your jaw-drop! Overall - 4/5 Stars MUST SEE MOVIE!

I haven't seen this, but I would love to know how this functions. I didn't notice that either:heh: . However I think it could be quite jarring if you have to meticulously trace the blue lines to find out where you have to go to get to where you want to.

I was wondering how Nintendo were going to handle the transportation from planet to planet when you want to get to a specific place. I the star system previously in place works only if exploring but if you needed to get to a specific planetoid you would have to know what star transports you to the corresponding planet. I think nintendo's way of combating this is to be able to control the direction in which Mario moves while flying through the air, until he is pulled in by the gravity of the planet in closest proximity. I also hope Nintendo take advantage of the overwhelming speed at which Mario soars through the air to provide some really intense, entertaining races. Speeding across the galaxy dodging and weaving through a cluster of asteroids first to the designated planet wins. Im still going to stay catiously optimistic. As far as Im concerned hype can be the biggest killer for a AAA title.

I get you:heh: . The console needs a game to really show what Nintendo are about, not crappy graphics, gimicky controls and rushed presentation. If friends are comming around to see what the Wii is like THIS is the game you show them. (after maybe Wii sports:heh: ) After seeing this I wonder what they have done with Metroid, since I have high expectations with that series and of Retro Studios. Only time will tell.: peace:

I bought Madden and its actually a very good game. I would recommend it to any Sport fans even though the learning curve is quite steep. The Multiplayer is the best reason to buy it to be honest, If you have an extra Wiimote and Nunchuck and a good supply of friends/family it is a very entertaining experience. However to anyone unfamiliar to the world of American football it can be quite confusing so most of us will have to try to find out the ins and outs of the rules and logistics. But the Ask Madden feauture helps to lower the learning curve if you have the patience. I recommend a RENT at least.

I see like me you recieved your Wii on the 25th:) . Im on a similar part played about 4 hours so far and although it did drag a bit with the labourious colection of items and such. Im definitely enjoying it more and more as I progress. If it can surpass Oot I will be a very happy man. Still doesn't beat Wii Tennis though:heh: (can't get enough of that game).
