Look on the bright side, by the end of this year the Wii will have a better software library than any console: peace: . well... if NOE do thier job correctly:heh:

If you want to use someting thats not brilliantly made but still good definitely don't use Wiisports as an example. Wii sports was meticulously crafted for with a particular goal and audience in mind. Sure you can't move your player in Tennis and field in baseball, but its beauty is in its simplicity and by adopting the "less is more approach" Nintendo suceeded in captivating an audience that would have previously shunned gaming, achiving a feat not many other games can do or have achieved.

Couldn't have said it better!

Well, they didn't to me and I own Madden 07 for Wii so I can tell you first hand that the contols are awesome, excellent in almost every department. But the differences between this and Madden are innumerable. Im definitely buying Madden 08 but this is going on the keep-an-eye out pile as I really believe the controls just aren't well thought out.

Guess who just brought Strikers. I know,I know, you guys were praying I wouldn't buy it for your own gaming safety.

Games that you should get 1) Zelda *A must own for any type of gamer* 2) Madden 07 *even if you don't know anything about American football this is an awesome game, because it teaches you everthing and has one of the best multiplayers on Wii* 3) Mario Strikers *bundles of fun, it really is FUN on a disc* Also I recommend getting more controllers for when friends come round and want to play you at Wii Sports! You should defo get a Wii, Especially as we ain't seen nothing yet 1) Super Smash Bros Brawl 2) Metroid Prime 3 3) Super Mario Galaxy

Not really my type of game for a buy, but a definite rent, when Blockbuster gets thier finger out so we can rent Wii games:mad:

Umm, How is Wii Sports made poorly again!?

Later Boo, All the Best mate: peace: I too remember those Epic metroid battles we had! Ahh good stuff. Can't wait to have some Epic Smash battles. After playing Strikers *yeh I just got it:grin: * I know Smash Online is going to be one hell of an experience.

Not really impressed at all. The Motion controls sound a bit tacked on to me, as it seems like the have used motion controls even when it much more effective to press a button. eg. move controller forward to shoot!? Here's hoping konami don't mess up, the controls of thier football game.

Oh yeh definitely, Im just saying a lot of the action was based around shooting and knifing hordes of enemies, which I find loses its appeal after a certain amount of time. But I agree it is still one of the best games I have played.
-
Me too, I thought the gameplay was a bit too repetitive to play for really large doses.

Soul Calibur no skill!!!! Seriously what have you been smoking I would love to know. You know what, I agree with Bard on this one! Im sorry but the the majority of this post is just plain stupid.

Thanks and on the issue of accuracy I think if developed correctly this shouldn't even be a problem. : peace:

Who says that you have to do complex combo's using motion control. If a button press works better for that particular action then by all means use it. However, I find motion controls would work better by complementing the existing formula, rather than creating a sheme of play focusing on motion gestures. For example manuvers such as dodging would work well with a quick flick on say the nunchuck, or even take guard impacting from soul calibur a quick flick of the wiimote in anticipation of the oncoming attack would also work well. Or even take throwing, by perfoming a quick throwing motion while next to the opponent in conjuction with a button press (Z and B) would make a good substitute to the original mechanic. Just a few ideas off the top of my head but you can see how Wiimote controls don't have to infringe on the accustomed way of doing things but rather create a complimentary alternative.

Thats not true. It depends on the way in which the Wii is utilised. I will probably now miss out on SC4 after missing out on SC3.
-
You will from me, if the quality is up to scratch. Its not like Nintendo to rush titles so I wouldn't expect it this year. NOE have enough to focus on as it is.*so get moving*
-
I hope you're joking about Zelda.
-
If thats true I would be SO angry!!!! I would much rather have SC4.

I agree , although I like the stars system that Gamespy do, I think thats is the most logical way of representing the merit of the game, while still preventing people from saying "a game is better" just because it "beat" the other game by 0.1 marks. tbh I think we are all intelligent enough to see for ourselves If we will like a particular game before we buy it, based on a comprehensive critical evaluation. Although sometimes you just need to play the game for yourself.

Ingame!? Wow that is impressive:)
