I concur, how can people not realise that you won't have thousands online immediately?! The console has only just released, the install base needs to grow first! Also, people will have budgeted this month for the console and certain games, they may have prioritised other games over this one until they can again afford to purchase this. After Xmas and into early next year the numbers will pick up.

Impressions of the WiiU version from a PS3 gamer (very positive)... In regards to the game, it's a shame we'll not be able to livestream but still, the control options more than make up for it. I see the WiiU version as the definitive version indeed!

I'm very much the team player too. UAV, Orbital VSAT will be streaks I'll be running for sure! My preferred game mode is TDM although I do love all other game modes too... I'm very much a strategist and like to lock down maps and game modes tactically! One thing to note... with Ghost being unlocked at level 55, UAV will be more heavily used and so the Counter UAV becomes much more formidable! Given that, I may well roll with UAV, Counter UAV and Orbital VSAT... screw streaks that get you kills, I'm a good enough slayer as it is!

I know what you mean but in truth, other than a 3D Mario a Metroid or a Zelda, this would always have been my most anticipated game! CoD with Wiimote is truly the best console FPS!

Gametrailers gave it a 6.5 They say that there are a few bugs and glitches still in the game unfortunately and that they feel that the game was rushed to make launch.

So when viewing a game from Theatre Mode, if the person has been playing with the Wiimote, when aiming down sights it doesn't show the actual aiming, it fixes the gun in the centre of the screen so in some cases it looks like they're not shooting at the person they kill when in reality they were. As shown and pointed out in the video below...

Being able to use handsfree kits is great for those not wanting to fork out for a headset. I'll be picking up a headset though for sure! One thing I've noticed in this game, across all versions, is that the footsteps in the game are almost inaudible. Very, very quiet. I don't like this as it makes Dead Silence almost redundant. Apparently using Awareness doesn't improve it much at all too from people's impressions. I imagine Treyarch will patch this, they had the exact same situation with the first Black Ops where people complained and so they tuned the footsteps... which I hope they do as I'll be looking to sound-whore! Haha

I think that given the time it has been taking people to download the update the WiiU a lot of people won't have played much of this as of yet. Or at least not enough to give informed impressions. Plus, the uptake for the game won't be as big as it could've been because people will have been budgeting for the console itself and so they'd not pick up some games immediately and may puck them up at a later date.

Of course with it being a new console developers will need to get used to it's quirks... just like they're still trying to get used to the shitty PS3 quirks.

No, that was local multiplayer. I don't think they ever said if you could go online that way too, although I had always hoped you could but didn't think they'd do it.

Fully customisable. I game with both dual analogue and Wiimote and whereas each has advantages over the other in some cases, I'd definitely say that the Wiimote confers the greater advantage. Best console FPS controls without doubt in my eyes! Also, if that's true that 2 people off the same console can go online, each with their own screen, that is bloody epic!

As I read more of the reviews, even the negative and low scoring ones, I'm still really liking the sound of this. Half of the criticisms that the low scoring reviews make are plus points for me, I love that it's survival and that trying to avoid confrontation is best! Hell, I played through the first couple Splinter Cells not killing people as much as possible because I wanted to be as sneaky and careful as I could be. I played Mirror's Edge and didn't use a gun at all as I loved the challenge of just making it through the areas trying to avoid and outrun the confrontations! This is looking like my type of game! The scores knocked me a little but reading the reviews themselves has reaffirmed my hype for the game!

They used a cricket bat because it's "quintessentially British". I kind of like that, although I do agree that they could've added use of other things that would break but the cricket bat would always remain unbroken.

So I've read a few of the reviews and I think I'll be the kind that likes this game. My usual "go to" site is Eurogamer and they love it. Although I'd also like to see what Gametrailers have to say! I like marmite!

The graphics aren't great but they certainly are atmospheric, having played it I can confidently say that.

IGN have pulled a "Red Steel" with this it seems. Hyping it up, even going to say "forget about Mario, Nintendoland and Call of Duty, ZombiU is shaping up to be the WiiU's must-have title"... only to pan it at review. That preview (below) was pretty misleading really it seems, a stark contrast to the review, so much so it's as if they were playing different games! Saying that, I really do like the idea of this still. I played it at Play Expo and have kept my eye on it and I'm still keeping the ZombiU bundle as my preorder.
