I don't rate the courses enough to enjoy it that much. It's ok, but I'd not call the game good. My biggest gripe is the lack of voice-chat still, it feels soulless online, no fun at all. That's how I felt about MKWii too... I need voice-chat.

Whereas it's not a patch on Splinter Cells 1 through 3, I am enjoying this... just finding it slightly annoying with the seriously stupidly long loading times! My preferred playstyle is Panther, with a tendency to lean toward Ghost... but I do like my enemies dead!

I was playing this with Blade last week. I started off well, in second only to get the coins and then I got hit by 3 red shells... dropped me down to 8th. Fair enough, I'll see if I can make it up. I'm racing and get back to 10 coins, now I need some help with items... my next 2 item boxes give me coins yet the person in 7th, only just in front of me gets 3 red shells, twice! So now I can't risk overtaking him and I'm stuck behind him, only with us both having moved up one place after he used his shells on the guy ahead of him. The third item box I get a banana, the guy we overtook gets 3 red shells and peppers me with them... and the guy in front gets a fucking bullet bill to fly on ahead whilst I'm tumbling further down the list... I leave the race, can't be arsed with that shit. This seems to happen far too much. I'm on 10 coins but can't stop pulling coins out of item boxes when people around me get awesome items, it's crazy. That I can't talk to anyone adds to the frustration because if we could and people were taking the piss out of what was happening to me I could laugh with it and find it fun. Instead it's just irritating and not fun.

Wave race is Nintendo's best racing series! The changing courses thanks to the weather etc is amazing!!! I could not agree more with this! Waverace is almost perfect!

Nintendo tweeted that Fils-A-Mech had a message for us:

If they do end up putting voice chat in this it will quickly become my most hyped game! I think the premise of it is absolutely fantastic... a brilliant, strategic, clever shooter! It soooo needs voice chat!

The difference is, Oculus Rift is amazing!

The E3 one for now and then also the general activity feed and then we should start invading other online game boards... spam the hell out of them!

I'm going to spam Miiverse completely in hope it gets put in. Everyone needs to voice their opinion, if Nintendo do listen (as Serebii says they do) then surely they'll take heed? Let's get spamming Miiverse asking for full voice-chat!!!

This is why the PS4 is selling well, they all think it's the successor to the Wii. It's why they think the Gamepad is a Wii add-on!

This. This is my only issue. If it doesn't gave full voice-chat this game suddenly becomes a meh game to me!

Nintendo's Digital Event alone wasn't the fantastic thing we're talking about, it's the combination of the Digital Event and the Treehouse that has been amazing! The Treehouse showings/chat etc has out Sony & Microsoft's conferences to shame. Sure they still had great games to show but so have Nintendo in XCX, Splatoon and the Zelda gameplay teaser! Then the extra showcase through the Treehouse of XCX and Splatoon etc have made it a brilliant E3 for Nintendo!

This won't be the case unless the WiiU starts selling.

I know, I was making the point that this is E3, the biggest week in the gaming industry. Suggesting a second digital event isn't much of an ask really.

Haha, whereas I do love the sound of that, lets just leave it for E3.

I must admit, today I'm starting to think "where's Waverace, 1080, F-Zero etc." so many games that the system needs right now to give it's line up more diversity. Today I'm not as excited for Nintendo... mainly because it feels like just a repeat of yesterday and nothing new. Imagine how amazing it would've been for another Digital Event to have been today and then the Treehouse focuses on that line-up of software.

They need to release it now and then put out the rest as ongoing DLC.

They looked like cheap eShop games at best... that's not judging by visuals but by the gameplay itself.

I pray we'll get to see something of Zelda... I know we won't, it's just not fair, I need more of that in my life! Hopefully the press will get a sneak preview behind closed doors or something, although I don't believe that'll happen either. In all honesty if no gameplay is shown I see it getting delayed to 2016. More Splatoon though please!!! I need to hear about online options, namely voice-chat.

Splatoon looks done enough to release this year... things they may want to add but don't have the time, they could do as free DLC! ...just wishing here.

With the Digital Event AND the Treehouse showcases, Nintendo really have knocked it out of the park this E3. Easily the best showing of the 3 console manufacturers... and for me, Splatoon is the best thing I've seen this E3 so far! Funny how I was so ready for disappointment but I've ended up amazingly hyped... albeit for next year though. My favourite games shown/teased: Splatoon Zelda Xenoblade Chronicles X The Witcher No Mans Sky The Division
