Provisional driving licence.
Passport on nights out is asking for trouble/loss.

I kinda hate faceless things. Nothing about it is actually Green Lantern feeling. Maybe the queuing/queueing/q-ng area is. The Hulk coaster has great theming pre-ride/as you're going through the launch tunnel and stuff so the fact it's just a green rollercoaster is forgotten. I forget if there's sound in your seat as you ride too or not.

I should start reviewing films since I'm a film student and have lots to say on the matter that is true and is completely based in fact and could never be disputed.
I assign a shitty/meaningless star rating on my LISTOFEVERYMOVIEI'VESEEN but that's more like 'I loved.' as opposed to quality.

You're like Rachel on Friends.
She got fired.
Congratulations.

Apparently no one understands why he is in (and directed) Larry Crowne, considering he can be great, and will obviously have his absolute pick of anything Hollywood offers. (i.e Larry Crowne is supposed to be mediocre/bad)

I keep thinking this thread title is referring to
Fuck. Let's hide. They can't get us under a table.

I preferred it to...And X-Men FC, but only on a certain plane of thought).

A music website I go on sometimes has a few members who are fanatical about it.
It's quite an interesting idea - could be a joke concept for a film or something. I don't think it has anything to it though, at least nothing sinister or apocalyptic.

Scarecrow and Mera loved the media exposure when they were handed their rings. Mera has experienced an unprecedented career comeback, a la J.Lo.

Mystique and Magneto are the best damn thing in both the comics and movies. 2 of Marvel's best characters period, let alone 'best villains'.

I realised today in the Hairdresser that only played Gaga songs that are under-appreciated or -talked about, that I Like It Rough is her best.

A haircut. - £17
My hair's the shortest it's been in like...8 years.

Gold has way more stun. Come on Jean, come on Bishop. Hey Storm.
I don't think I ever read any of the original Archangel stuff. Was he written as he is now with a whole split personality theme? Warren is easily one of the most interesting X-Men written this way but I'm not sure about historical precedent.
No. After his initial transformation back in the 80's he was all aggro and had to be kept in check (not as !!!! as now though), but by the 90's he was just moody. When I started reading (Just before Onslaught) he was already becoming bit of a background character. He kept being all emo with Psylocke when she started going dark and talking in metaphors and melting into shadows and stuff. Then ages later (they'd both left the team) she found feathers in their house and randonly one day his natural wings burst out from under the steel ones and he was all happy again. They'd been growing back the entire time or something. Then years after that he lost his blue skin when Black Tom (in tree form) sapped his life force. He coincidentally got his healing powers around this time too. [/brief history]
Female presenter? Disgusting. (Thats Dragon's "daughter")No...in that video you spoilerbox'd...

I kinda hate copying work/transcriptions or whatever we were told it was called. It just kinda devalues it as anything other than a copy in my mind.
It looks nice, but then I can't judge it as anything other than a fascimilie, or not of any real artistic merit. Even though technically it should be in some respects. Just me maybe.
I was taught that copies/transcriptions/drawing famous people just for the sake of it was for sketchbooks and pemilinary stuff..the artwork had to have ideas behind it. That's art-school though. And really one should be able to do what they want. Copying artists techniques and learning how they worked is very important of course.
I don't know.

Yeah, get over changes.
I enjoyed it. I agree with it feeling fresh. I put that down to the time skip, think it was needed. I loved Queen Mab, I remember being mentioned by Shakespeare (Mercutio) in Romeo & Juliet.

I genuinely lol'd. I love how they have that female presenter to balance out the general "..."-ness of the average comic book reader they'd come across. And even she sounds like she has some kind of psychosis.

Eternal question:
Blue Team or Gold Team?
(I love how one is literally everyone with a personality/is a really cohesive team and the other isn't.)
(And you can tell the Gold Team have nae chat. Storm and Jean just end up going off together to talk, while the rest kinda awkwardly stand around.)

Pitchfork gives the album 8.0, deservedly.

Yu is my life.
He's so much better than he used to be. His stuff on early 2000's (ie 2000) X-Men was much more divisive - he's grown into his style now.

I only read the first issue but will read it once it's all out (in like 70 years) or however long it'll take.
My mum bought me Secret Invasion trade today as a present/to go on 'holiday' (we're going to Orkney...) with. Never read a word of it except for a few of the tie-ins in other series like Thunderbolts.

Worth a watch if you missed it from the Big Weekend a while ago.

I'm going to Orkney and need some comic stimulation. Got all of AoA which I'm currently reading, what are some other good/long comic storylines/crossovers I should indulge in/acquire before I leave?
What about all the Identity Crisis/Infinite Crisis/blah stuff? I have no idea what they are apart from Dr.Light being a rapist in one, and Superboy Prime being in the other.
