To be more specific, last year's itinerary was: Friday night: Drinks and games at Zell's place Saturday afternoon: Hyde Park, NINJA, general pissing about Saturday evening: Five Guys, followed by Loading Bar in Stoke Newington Do come along! It was a right laugh. You'll get to meet so many forum legends.

So as I said previously, the 13th isn't ideal for me because I'm working that day. However, it turns out I'm working from like 4am until 12:30pm, so I shouldn't actually miss out on much! Turn up for any Friday night shenanigans, couple of hours sleep, liveblog a cricket match, come straight on down for the meet! Party into the night and then same again on Sunday morning! Thank god I work from home.

Is it just me, or has Bale been pretty poor this tournament other than the free kicks in the first couple of games? Gutted for Wales. They didn't have their best game today, but it's frustrating seeing Portugal reach the final after they've scraped through the rounds. They really missed Ramsey tonight. Still, better than England have done for years!

Haven't updated for a loooong time - the end of March in fact! Haven't been going to the cinema as much as usual lately due to lots of work/music festivals. Let's recap, in brief so it doesn't take me all night long. Batman v Superman Meh. Worst superhero movie of the year. Didn't like Batman in it. Midnight Special This was dull. Can't remember much about it, tbh. The Jungle Book Nice, deserves most of the praise it got, but it didn't live up to the original for me. A spectacle, but you'd probably lose that wow factor on repeat viewings. Eye in the Sky Gripping political thriller. One of the last films with Alan Rickman in. Enjoyed. Captain America: Civil War Watched it twice. Loved it so much. Up there with the best Marvel films. #TeamCap Bad Neighbours 2 Pretty funny. Pretty much a rehash of the first one. Green Room Intense. Patrick Stewart as the leader of a Neo Nazi cult. Horror thriller. One of the last appearances of Anton Yelchin before his unfortunate death. Did I enjoy it? No, because it had me on the edge of my seat! It was good though. X-Men: Apocalyse Fine. Enjoyed it. Quicksilver scene went on too long. If I'm to rate superhero films so far this year: 1) Civil War 2) Deadpool 3) X-Men 4) BvS Our Kind Of Traitor Based on a John le Carré novel, starring Ewan McGregor. An enjoyable spy thriller. The Nice Guys LOVED this. Really funny. So entertaining. One of my highlights of the year so far. Money Monster Great performances from George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Jack McConnell. Both funny and thrilling. Independence Day: Resurgence Can't actually remember much of the original, I think I've only seen it once. This was fine. Enjoyable bit of sci-fi, but nothing special. Never got around to seeing the likes of Warcraft/Alice/Gods of Egypt, which I probably would've if I hadn't been so busy lately. My 2016 List My 2016 List Star Wars: The Force Awakens x 2 Daddy's Home The Danish Girl Creed Room Dirty Grandpa The Revenant The Big Short Spotlight Dad's Army Deadpool Triple 9 Grimsby London Has Fallen Hail, Caesar! Allegiant Eddie the Eagle Zootropolis 10 Cloverfield Lane Batman v Superman Midnight Special Jungle Book Eye in the Sky Captain America: Civil War x 2 Bad Neighbours 2 Green Room X-Men: Apocalyse Our Kind Of Traitor The Nice Guys Money Monster Independence Day: Resurgence

He's wimped out. It's all been one big game to him, and now the going has got tough, he doesn't want to play any more. What a wonderful pair of people we've got as candidates to be the next Prime Minister. May or Gove. Awful.

We were in it a whole 3 hours longer! I like Roy, but his tactics/team selection this tournament has been poor. He abandoned the side that won all our qualifiers to try a new side which just hasn't performed in our friendlies and in all of the games of the tournament. I'm a little biased due to my club allegiance, but having the side based on Spurs didn't work. The only one of them that did well was Walker. Kane has been awful this tournament. They've moulded the side around him to no benefit. I'm still convinced Rooney is wasted in midfield, we didn't give Rashford long enough at the end then either. Barkley wasn't used at all, I feel John Stones would've been stronger in defence than Smalling, it was baffling to drop Lallana for this match too. Why not go for what worked in the second half of the Wales match? In our family/friends sweepstake, there was one spare team at the end. It was Iceland. We gave our cat Iceland. Bet he's feeling pretty smug right now. Will be interesting to see who becomes England manager now and what they do with the team.

Fuck England. Seriously fuck England. Shocked. Devastated. Speechless. A wave of sadness has flooded the campsite here at Glastonbury. This was our Trump moment. We failed. Cameron has resigned. Stepping down in October. Hate the man but genuinely fearful of who will replace him.

@Ramar is absolutely right. We're missing stuff coming down the wing. Clyne was great in the first half but the second half we weren't creating any clear cut chances. Too slow, no cutting edge. Only positive is our next game isn't when I'm at Glastonbury, but next Monday instead.

I expected more shake it all abouts, to be honest. Totally underrepresented on these forums.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
Mr-Paul replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yes, they're both absolutely brilliant. In fact, I believe I played them before owning a games console. I'd played on cousin's/friends consoles sporadically through childhood. We first got a PC when I was 7 and my best friend was obsessed with LBA, so I naturally took his advice and got them. They probably were probably the earliest games I completed start to finish. I then got a Game Boy when I was 8 then an N64 when I was 9. They're a strong part of what made me a 'gamer', really. And they are in many ways precursors to 3D Zelda, so no wonder I went on to love Ocarina and Majora when I got an N64. -

Just quoting to say I LOVE Little Big Adventure. One of my all time favourites. -
I'm of the opinion that the team shouldn't be punished for the fans' poor behaviour. It's not their fault. Give them the suspended disqualification that Russia got to warn the fans if it happens again, it will be the team that suffers, and make them play their qualifiers for the next tournament behind closed doors. But don't punish the team who have worked hard to be there for the actions of a few idiots.

True. I just think it'd be disappointing if they don't have it as a launch title, unless they have a really amazing 3D Mario. Remasters of Splatoon, Smash and Pikmin 4 aren't going to cut it, unfortunately. I still think it'll be there at launch and be like Twilight Princess, simultaneously on both consoles. I think they're just covering their backs just in case there is another delay, god forbid. Plus, if it is further back, you have a reaalllly long gap with no Wii U games at all.

So you really think Zelda will be later than next March? I don't want to wait any longer than that

Sounds like Aonuma isn't a fan of the Gamepad -

Does it have gyro aiming with the gamepad or have they pretty much ignored all features of the Wii U completely, if the screen is just for off-tv play? -
It's a fair point, we are in a democracy where everyone should use their vote. It's just so frustrating when there's so many of them that are so out of touch and believe such blatant lies

Unfortunately it doesn't Too many older people who don't want to be part of a world community and are willing to ruin our generation's future because of xenophobia and ignorance.

I'm so excited, it looks pretty brilliant! Really intrigued into the backstory/Sheikah tech/resurrection. My only concern that I expressed in the N-E chat was that with the open-world/crafting aspect you could get to a point like in Xenoblade where you can't progress unless you find a particular item in the world at a particular time, but I have faith that this will be different! Looking forward to getting my hands on it! -
The problem with the Pokémon bit was they spent most of the time not on the overworld, but just normal battles that we've all seen/played time and time again. It was also the fact we were teased with a bit of Zelda, then instead of continuing the hype, we had it ripped away from us for what felt like bloody-ever. Not how you do an E3 show.

This is one of my biggest annoyances about the Leave campaign. We aren't being ruled by unelected bureaucrats. Elected heads of state, ministers, etc. co-operate on policy direction and decide what they want the EU to do. This is the EU Council. Then you have the so-called bureaucrats, who write the laws, bills and policies. They're effectively the same as the civil service in the MoD, Department of Justice, etc. So it works the same way as it does over here. It then goes to be voted for by the European Parliament. The same as legislation going to a vote in the House of Commons. Except it's actually more democratic because it's elected by proportional representation rather than our crappy FPTP system. 1. We're not in the Euro, so non-applicable to our situation, and 2. Great Britain already has control of it's own borders, we're not in the Schengen zone, hence the camp of refugees at Calais. There isn't widespread desire for a European army, only a few people have expressed interest in some sort of shared defence. And in matters of defence, the decisions are made purely by heads of state - David Cameron would have to approve for this to actually happen, as due to our size, we effectively have a veto on the matter. So much of this is hyperbole, and there is no way we're getting a favourable deal when we leave. If we want free trade with Europe, we'll have to pay in as much as we do now - Norway and Switzerland pay similar amounts, have to still keep to the EU regulations, but have no say in influencing them. It's not a surprise when you have the Leave capaigns saying there will be 70 million turks coming over to take our jobs, and keep highlighting that Turkey is right next to Syria and Iraq. There's no way Turkey are joining the EU any time soon. While immigration isn't a problem to you, the rhetoric coming out of the leave campaigns is disgusting. You say it offers little to the common man, but if we left, say goodbye to so many workers' rights, easy travel abroad, things like mobile roaming fees being abolished and probably countless other small things that benefit our everyday lives. This is absolutely such an important reason for me. Come together for the greater good.
