yeah I dropped Defenders when I saw they'd changed artists after the first arc, sticking with Avengers due to Simonson, when he's off I'll probably drop that. I'm was thinking of dropping Ultimate X-Men when Nick Spencer's run ends but since it's Brian Wood taking over I'm reconsidering. I've decided I'm not buying Before Watchmen despite being very tempted, as much as I enjoy most of the creators involved stuff I still think it's not the right thing to do and therefore won't give DC any money for it (not that my stance will have that much of an effect!) ---- I see Book Depository have a 10% discount voucher (APMA12) running until 14th May Now I just need to try and not spend too much

I don't think there is much, checking wikipedia and some fan pages he was on Uncanny X-Men during the Age of Apocalypse arc, which is probably the easiest of his work to get. But then that's not going to all be him due to that being a massive crossover event.

yeah that meeting between Thor and Iron Man was great. I really enjoyed the whole run, the Warrior's Three were written brilliantly as well, love Volstagg, the fact that they weren't as well written in the movie annoyed me! The Journey Into Mystery book written by Kieron Gillen that has spun out of Thor has been one of Marvel's best books for the last year (better than Fraction's Thor imo!). Oh and I really wish Marvel would cut down on their double shipping. I can hardly think of a single Marvel book that has had 1 artist drawing 12 consecutive issues recently

well I knew it was close, but I didn't think it was that close, I thought it had been stopped with only a tiny bit of the ball over the line. Still not a goal though, and surely if it's given it has to go to Terry since he was the last Chelsea player to touch it? And I do agree with Dazzy, the game would be totally different at 1-0 than 2-0, Spurs would not have played as open and got drawn out of position so easily. I still think Chelsea would have won though, they just had more players who know how to win these big games.

I take it you're not to enamored with Year One or Dark Knight Returns then @ReZourceman? Black Mirror by Scott Snyder is an amazing Batman (Dick Grayson) story, with art by Jock and Francesco Francavilla, easily one of the best books of last year. as far as Thor goes, the recent JMS run was really good imo, Fraction's run is good but completely overshadowed by Kieron Gillen's Journey into Mystery starring child Loki There's also the classic Walt Simonson run from the seventies

it's amazing how much better JRJR's art looks when he has a good inker. as I said in my post further up the page, I have high hopes for AvX considering they're throwing the full top tier writing and art talent at it, so hope it doesn't end up being too many cooks spoil the broth. Also hope it doesn't just end up being a copy of Civil War I preferred the first half of #0 as I felt the story worked a bit better but #1 was great, although it did seem a bit weird that the Avengers showed up on mass this early, 11 issues to go Ends of the Earth (ASM) is also shaping up really good, Doc Ock going out with a bang

did you know that TV money only makes up a tiny fraction of income in Scottish football? lack of TV money wouldn't hurt the Scottish game as much as it would in England did you know that the last time there was a weak Rangers in the league there was more than just Celtic winning the league (in a 10 year period from 78-88 Celtic won the league 5 times, Aberdeen 3 times and Dundee Utd and Rangers both once). Rangers broke Scottish football when they went crazy with money they didn't have. Even now when they knew they were up shit creek they're still using money they don't have. They sold Jelavic to Everton in January and they still owe his previous club money for him, they signed 2 new centre halfs in the summer and they still owe money for both of them. They're not passing income tax and NI payments to HMRC, they're not paying their council tax, they're not paying the police. But yeah save this team.

first Wednesday of the month is always good for comics these days thanks to Animal Man and Swamp Thing! Snyder and Lemire are weaving a very interesting tale here! Of course helps that the art is fantastic as well. AvX has started off quite well, with the writing talent and artists drawing it I am hoping for something really great. Really enjoyed ASM and Daredevil as well, they've been 2 of Marvel's most consistently good books lately Invincible was good as well, still getting used to the new colourist, book looks completely different in some parts, and as Rez says, Dinosaurus is awesome Can't wait for the Ottley/Walker arc that will be for the upcoming

there's rumours flying about that both Batista and Lesnar are in Miami today, so people are trying to make guesses as to what matches they would get involved in (if at all) and the only matches that make sense are the Taker vs HHH one or Rock vs Cena as they usually give the title matches at WM "clean" finishes oh and if you're so inclined Paddy Power are taking bets on the matches
