This game really is brilliant, I wasn't too sure about it, but I got it today (last copy in Blockbusters of all places as everywhere else had sold out) for my girlfriends birthday and I have been pleasantly suprised, the Wii Wheel works amazingly, only took 5 mins to get used to for me. The new tracks are fun and the old ones look great too. All in all, I'm having a blast with this game, it's good ol' Mario Kart

Finally Brawl has come, I got a little bit excited :P I was so worried as I put it in, I was certain it wouldn't play or something, but it's all fine and great. Played a few matches with my gf to try out some characters, she's already picked Pit as her main and I've started on the SSE, I'm loving it all so far. My friend code is in my sig if any one want a match some time.

It was more a theoretical question, I'm just trying to see if I can definately get Brawl early with out any worries. By the sounds of it there shouldn't be a problem as long as I don't download ANY updates. Though I might wait and see till it's been tried and tested.

If your Wii isn't online and therefore can't download the updates then it should pose no problems, you'd be able to use the freeloader and play Brawl with out any worries...right...right?

I really wish Nintendo weren't being so tight-lipped on our release date, I want something to look forward to so at least we know its coming. Right now it's release isn't getting any closer for us. But oh well, we will get it eventually and it will no doubt be worth the grueling wait.

I don't think they're the demos, just a list of games series for each console, I expect the list gets updated everytime you get a sticker or a trophy and the like.

Well I'm totally happy about this update

One thing I would love when the game is out is if someone would post how to unlock the characters but just not which character is being unlocked. I found it a pain in Melee struggling to try and unlock Mewtwo when he was unlocked by playing 700 vs matches or whatever it was but I kinda don't want the unlockable characters ruined for me...i probably won't be able to wait though.

I'm almost certain Pokemon Trainer will be my main, I adore the whole concept of having to switch between pokemon, however I would like to try out Metaknight, Sonic and Pit to see how they play as normal fighters.
