As Peeps pointed out, I think that quote is taken somewhat out of context. Even so, who says one's right to be offended overrides another's right to be offensive?

Vote:Remove vote I was just kidding. Why we going for jay?

Personally I love dark jokes. For example I've got this black friend...

Haha, totally Vote:Tales!

Man you need to stop scaring me by posting and shiz like that! I can wait til friday, though if we're all gonna wait on you til friday, you're gonna have to wait on me until at least saturday due to expected busyness.

We tended to do it when it was too wet to be allowed on the field, and when we got fed up/bored of/had the space to play it instead of/- the infinitely gayer patball.
-
I didn't, but that's to be expected. Nada, why?

As much as I hate to say it, his first point in that post does make sense. Though tbh I think we're aruging over the silliest of things, surely somebody out there actively did something last night?

Does a thread like this highlight us living in the past and wanting old games rather than new ones because the new ones are simply put a bit crap and not living up to standard? I do find the idea of remakes, and demand for them, intriguing. I also am very cynical towards Ninty these days, in case it wasn't obvious.

Oh, I totally misread your post as insinuating he wasn't town, I see that is not the case so it does make sense, excuse me :x

I don't get how that works? Though I find it suspicious you conviniently didn't send a PM, unless it's cover and you did.

Yeah basically Jimbob already totally mentioned it with details. I don't think I ever played it though. Anybody for Goalie Squash? Maybe you had another name, I don't know why it was that, and despite never being much of a footbally kind of person it was fun for me. Basically you set the 'posts' for the goal on the wall with bags, and someone goes in goal, then the other players take it in cycle turns to kick the ball from where it is to the goal in an attempt to score, keeping track of points if you like(well, you ususally would). It's not just that though, basically you take your turn from wherever the ball ends up, if it's somewhere tricky you collectively decide as a group how many 'shots' you get, in the sense of touches. Obviously if it's stick in a ditch/corner somewhere you'd get a couple in order to get it out. It's a nice amalgamation of lots of different concepts, but as I said we didn't play it as often as I liked(and I sucked anyway). The goalie rotates in a way of if you don't score, you go in goal. So if you miss the goal or it's saved, you're in goal until this happens again. EDIT: Should maybe have added we did this with a tennis ball, not a football. No footballs unless on the field, or something, maybe.

I want to see LttP remade in a OoT/TP/basically 3D style. HD or no HD, I care not. Probably wouldn't turn out great/be worth their money, though. I can only wish... Interesting, could probably look quite beautiful in HD. Not that I've ever really been that bothered by HD for Ninty stuff.

Just cos it's crazy ol' Tales or cos you have something? As much as I'd love to I should make sure :p

Honestly I think limited the game to certain speech voice acting etc will ruin some of that magic, it's like reading a book then seeing the film of it, it changes everything. I CAN see the point, but I prefer how zelda characters tend to make strange noises and mumbles in place of speech, theres something very...welcoming? accomodating? a word i can't quite place, about it. As for the why, I was just curious as to why you believed Zelda to be the creme de la creme of video games. Like genuinely wondered your reasons why. Just because of rave reviews? That's not a good argument for a series you argue as being one of the best of all time. I think we have too much choice these days which skews our perception. Not denying they're all fantastic games, but what's the real difference between LA, LttP, and...the original Zelda 1(does it have another name?)? Graphical upgrades, gameplay upgrades, what? I'm playing devil's advocate to some extent here, but I think that shouldn't detract anything from my actual points.

Tbh, so far I'm not sure because I don't know how much single player there is, and I got it for free :p I think in campaign the maps/structure and mission is fairly consistent, but the placing of yourself and enemies/other guys is random, so it does give something a bit different each time. I think the big focus with it however is supposed to be the multiplayer(not to say it doesn't have good single player, I just haven't done much of either yet).

Loving the writeup, wheat allergy! I haven't got anything, though.
-
No, no I don't think anybody on these forums here could have possibly ever played such an obscure game. That is too ridiculous a suggestion or even question for me to ponder.

I'm not going to deny I feel in some respects they are behind the times with Zelda, but not in the same way you mean. I don't think lacking voice acting is behind the times. I don't think not having crazy style 360 quality graphics is behind the times. I mean it in the same way I referenced the Spaceworld 2000 video. It seems like...it's not moved as fast as it could from what it was. I suppose actually mentioning the video, which is mainly graphics orientated, does in some way say I'm agreeing with you. But just for the record, I'm not. At least not entirely. Lots of games have voice acting, I neither need nor want it in Zelda. I don't want it in Mr Bean, either, something I still thoroughly enjoy when I see it. It's just an inherent part of the nature of the game. The original premise of Zelda begins when you start your game/data, and you enter your name into it, that's the kind of reason why Link is and should stay silent, it's not a technical issue, it's the way it's meant to be. Nobody thinks the little fat plumber in red and blue is called Peach or Daisy or Bowser, why then do people think the gay little elf all clad in green is called Zelda? It's a rhetorical question, btw. Other than your angry reader letter example, how so? What wasn't "Zelda-ness" about whatever it is you're referring to? I'm not meaning to seem overly defensive, I'm just as cynical if not more than a lot of people, but I can't really have a conversation/argument/discussion about something when I'm entirely sure of the points being made. Why?

Not even to say yay and 'in your face'?

Ok, so Marcamillian bought this on steam, for some silly(or clever) reason it only sells as a two pack and he has gifted his second copy to me probably in return for future unannounced sexual favours. I knew nothing about it, and so I went looking, this video is half hour long, but does quite a nice job of explaining it. For a brief rundown, it's a turn based strategy game that I've barely dipped my feet into. It's literally turn based though, it consists essentially of a building layout, your dudes randomly placed, and you having to 'plan' the turn, then execute it. You can run sims on what might/will happen, once you're confident you want to do what you want to do, you proceed to essentially lock it in, and I suppose wait for the other person to take their 'turn', then see what happens. Despite calling it turn based, it's actually more along the lines of turn-decision based, each of your decisions are executed simultaneously. It's hard to explain, and I'm quite shallow into it as I said, but I very much like various aspects of the concept. As previously mentioned, this video is quite nice(even if one does find the guy doing it slightly annoying). Anyone out there got it? Post up your name and server you're on and we can start having ourselves some little games Don't expect me to be good though, I've only played two campaign missions and failed once! tl;dr - a game that isn't chess, but possibly captures the strategic essence of it.
-
Still insist Galaxy is weaker than 64. I agree Zelda's gotten a bit old(though having said that if you actually look at the series all the games ARE fantastic), I think maybe it's just...hit its peak? How can it be made more awesome without being less Zelda? It can't. Maybe anything new for Zelda just inevitably changes it so much so as to shoot it in the face at the same time.

Tbh I don't imagine getting infected with anything, but it's always good to be safe. I do find Commodo's site a bit confusing, seems to be all sorts of different things that are the same or not same and mehhhh. Ty for the recs though, I'll probs stick with Windows if Commodo doesn't do firewall, I don't like to mix and match too often with security softwares in case they hate each other.

Come on now man, it's official night time!
