Ok who else is amazed by the designs people are creating and clothing too? I’ve seen some amazing stuff already. So much potential for an endless way to design your island.

Ok. Since we are trading in here too, I’m starting off the fossil trading with these on offer. Triceratops Skull, Diplo Pelvis, Pachysaurus Skull. Name your fossils and I’ll say which one I want.

I remember back on the older games Monday’s was never the best. And it was only a way to see how the rest off the week went. There were a number of different trends the week would take and I know some people kept track to try to predict a week. You had the steady decline (start ok but get lower), steady increase (start low and slowly rise, not huge though), roller coaster (up and down all week) and there was a huge spike one (you’d notice a slow increase then a few larger jumps then then the big spike). I wonder if this is similar. I have poor today, down in the 60’s.

Museum is open and all stuff donated from first few days. So glad there’s the new mass donate option. I would have felt sorry for blathers when I asked him to talk about everything individually. And I have to say this is certainly the best museum in all the games. Nintendo outdone themselves. Every room is gorgeous to walk around. I think I spent 40 minutes in there just now. Have my first bridge build and a new villager moved in. I already have a few spare fossils so I guess it’s time for fossil trading. Are we using the fruit trading thread?

Paid off my first debt too Nook. Decided To go tarantula hunting and not one appeared. Why is it always the way.

The trick that many of my friends used in previous games and I am using in this one is just to close your eyes when fishing and listen for the louder plop. The sound of the fish taking the bait is much easier to go by than watching it. If that doesn’t help then you really do suck at fishing. 😂

Agreed. Seems I’m in the same spot as you. Found where to get the wooden stakes so have my bridge in place. Just need to find plots for the three houses.

Nooks Cranny built and museum on the way. So the area around it is a storage foe bug and fish. Still waiting on when and where to get ladder crafting and I now need log stakes for a bridge. Loving the game even though I broke my first shovel this morning. Saving resources for tools now. The music is so relaxing. Found this way to always catch the wasps from reddit. Just stand in that spot to shake a tree, so 45 degree angle (bottom corner of tree) make sure you have net out, shake tree, wait for shock to stop then mash A. You shouldn’t need to turn to face the wasps as you do that automatically. Works a charm.

We trapped em good! I thought it was either superhero inspired makeup or something like Stinky and his Mexican wrestler type mask.

Great fun @Glen-i saw we have emotes. Can’t wait to get them. Really hope for more sturdier tools later. My fishing rod broke in the fishing game. I can see online sessions being a lot of fun.

No worries. Remeber for the games some may not have the ladder to get up to higher ground. I’d rather get my own unless loaners can be provided. Also it seems all these photo posts in the other thread has used up all my reactions today 😆

Will we be using voice chat? Typing can be cumbersome at times.

Right. Close to having all I need for Nook to remodel, how can I get more nuggets if I’ve hit all my rocks? I need about 15-20. Really adore this game. I know the crafting and that might be annoying to some but being that we are on an island I think it’s a great way to go. I do think I went through 4 flimsy axes to get the wood though. How long does the normal axe last?

This game is just getting better all the time. Blathers is set up and I’ve donated enough to get his museum set up, I’ve got my pole vault and exploring the new sections. Also upgraded my tools (very much needed) and been enjoying this sooooo much.
