Simpsons Arcade Finally Heading To XBLA/PSN?

The old arcade market is something they should take more advantage of. There are plenty of games like this that would work well. Sunset Riders! -
Simpsons Arcade Finally Heading To XBLA/PSN?

I seriously hope this is true. I never bloody completed that game! -
I'd have to agree with the above. It's weird how so many of us read up on nearly everything TP related. I remember there was a video of the intro and first 10 minutes of the game. Watched all of it. Also about the villain and whether Zelda was in it or not. Also most of the early cut scenes. I had all that revealed to me before I even put the disc in. I did think this ruined parts of it for me. The parts I enjoyed the most were the ones I knew the least about. I still don't rate TP too high as it seemed to follow the OOT set-up way too closely. You had the standard beginning 3 dungeons, you get conned by the villain who ruins everything, then it's onto another 5-6 dungeons. Some of which even in familiar locations. As I remember MM only had 4? Though it was fine because they had so much more personality and challenge to them. I'm just hoping the dungeons aren't just there to advance the plot line and have a little more effort thrown in.

Yes that's true, perhaps it was an unfair comparison. It is a different experience like you say. I am hoping that it's going to be a return to form. Quite hyped about it now as I have no idea what to expect

I did and am doing the same. I had no self control with TP, was watching any video going. When I came to playing it there was no sense of awe because i'd already seen it. It was different with OOT as it was all just images from magazines. I hope this one has a load more secrets and side quests. The problem I had with TP is that it was so vast but there was no real incentive for me to explore. I think i've been spoilt by recent games. For example Fallout 3. Yeh there's no real reason for me to go and explore that building in the distance, but hey I might get some more ammo/food/xp out of it and maybe a side quest. It's a great formula, which OOT did have and to a lesser extent WW. MM was built around bloody side stories and quests haha. I guess i'll see when I play it.

The pad ones are frustrating me too. There are a few I really can't figure out. Also I was browsing the radio frequencies and...

All I know about the game is that there's a sky world and the world below. Oh and it's set before OOT. One of the reasons I don't want to look at any videos is that I saw one where it showed you how a puzzle was solved. Didn't appreciate that really. I'm going to have to buy a bumper pack of batteries for this game...

This is certainly good news. I seem to be one of the few that really loved GTA 4. In terms of story it was just behind GTA 3 for me. Never got on with San Andreas, the characters bored the shit out of me. I'd love a Sopranos style storyline again but that'd be retreading old ground. Just let me ramp a car into an oncoming train and i'll be happy.

440 assorted riddles/trophies. 20 odd side quests. Crap load of combat challenges. The city is huuuuge! I reckon if you took your time you could get a good 25-35 hours.

I'm not sure to be honest. I haven't come across it so far.

I didn't know about the LA and MM connection (I feel a bit strange shortening the titles to two letters I hope people know what i'm on about) but I can definitely see it now. LA is my favourite out of all of them. It was really quite difficult and just plain odd, like you say without really explaining it. Animal villages? Weird Vampires called Richard (I believe) A Windfish!? Had a great dreamlike feeling to it.

Same code? or two different. I do feel fortunate as it seems it's pretty widespread.
-
Interesting point, I'd say I partly agree. Though I never really thought of the recurring characters as "oh it was that guy from Kakariko". I think MM stands brilliantly on its own merit. It has a strange charm all of its own and if not for the introduction would be quite hard to link it to OOT. As far as Skyward Sword goes. I won't judge until i've played it. It has been such a long time since i've played a Zelda game which i've truly enjoyed and has had that 'feeling' of awesomeness. I'll get slammed for this but the last one for me was Wind Waker. Yes the difficulty sucked, some gameplay mechanics were awful (setting winds to sail in certain directions, ah!), and the story was pretty crap but it had a freaking personality. Something (for me) I felt Twilight Princess lacked.

So anyone have code issues? My mates Catwoman code wasn't printed. I had no suggestions for him over than to refund and get a new one.

I've done 9% and been playing it quite a bit. Spend a lot of time wandering streets, doing side missions, general looking around for riddler clues. Also...
-
Loving so many minor details. Spent 10 minutes on my first riddler challenge haha. Awesome how you can tag trophies if you have somewhere to be/can't get to it. I'm still sucking at combat, need to relearn the new combos and what not.
-
Well, prying myself off the game it really is amazing. I'm finding I really suck at combat. Need to get used to the new moves and what not. For some reason I can't seem to quickfire the batclaw in combat. I'm sure it was double-tap R trigger? The game itself is overwhelming. I just don't know what to do first. Which is great. It's like playing GTA for the first time, just need to get used to it. The level of detail is insane.

GAME game through for me. Woop!
-
To be honest, if it was sent out Monday it'd get here by Friday even at 2nd class. The only thing stopping it would be if they wanted it stopped. They used to get them to me the day before release
-
Got my dispatch email finally. Doesn't really mean it'll get here on release day but i'd like to think so. I always paid the full price with GAME over cheaper places like Amazon BECAUSE of their reliability with post. If they're going to drop their standards then there's no reason for me to go with them.
-
Another 2 emails saying the same crap about the price. I'm expecting it on the day. They've always got it to me the day before usually.
-
6th identical e-mail from GAME informing me that the price has gone up but i'll pay the lower price I pre-ordered it at. They need to sort their system out.

I'm seeing shades of Star Wars: Battlefront in this co-op. Minus repetitive space battles.
