Happenstance

Well I did it, I cancelled my order. I decided that my original plan to wait until E3 was probably the right one and just hanging on for a Persona games wasnt worth it at the moment. There are other games that I have been putting off buying that I'd like to play now instead so I can now get them. After sitting here the past few days trying to decide what to do im happy with my decision. As I said before this purchase was never a good idea for me and my childish ways.

We were talking about this in another thread I think but Play's delivery times have gone downhill since they were bought but I dont know about preorders.

Ive never liked golf but there's just something about games like Everybody's Golf and Mario Golf that's really fun.

To be honest, weighing up the pros and cons for me it would probably bring me out on the cons side. I just act like a little kid with this stuff and want something new. Its the reason I was burnt with the original PSP (imported from Japan on release) and the 3DS. The only thing thats keeping my preorder at the moment is my excitement for playing Persona 3 (which I could just get for the PS2) and looking forward to Persona 4 The Golden. My original plan was to wait until E3 to see how well Sony supported it between now and then, and also see what they had planned for the future.

I keep nearly cancelling my order. Nothing to do with the Vita itself, I just always get this way when spending large amounts of money on one thing and always end up looking at smaller stuff I want that I could get a load of.

My delivery estimate is still saying Feb 22nd

Just finished reading the "Death of Spider-Man Prelude" trade. Makes me miss Ultimate Peter Parker and that book all over again. I really enjoyed the family dynamic they had going with Peter, Gwen, Iceman, Human Torch and occassionally Kitty. I think it all ended too quickly. As much as I really enjoy reading the new USM with Miles I would swap it for Ultimate Peter Parker in a heartbeat. Just finished watching this and thought id share it, really well done fan motion comic of the death of Spider-Man

Yeah if you own the PS3 copy you can download it on Vita for free. I wasnt planning on getting Fifa but the new shooting does seem to make it worthwhile. Probably one i'll wait for a price drop on though.

A free game that I didnt really enjoy isnt all that tempting though. If I download it, it'll just be to test out the cross play.

Im just going off the amazon forum posts from people who've been doing the live chat thing with amazon staff asking about this. Plus apparently for the 3DS launch a lot of the super saver people got theirs first and the others who paid more actually ended up getting it a day or so after launch.

From what I've read the people who choose super saver delivery get it dispatched Monday as that's second class post so they have the possibility of getting it early. Those of us who went with first class or higher get it shipped Tuesday with a courier.

Do any of you ever pay attention to the PSP sales on the PSN? Im just wondering if I should bother paying full price for Persona 3 next week or wait for a possible sale. I know Persona 1 is on sale at the moment but I dont know if that means 3 could be soon.

Although thats being changed for Mass Effect 3 isnt it?

I havent really been following the cup stuff but I guess I'll join in. Just remember to mention me in the thread so I know when and who im playing.

There seems to be some confusion at the moment if thats something thats being done to keep memory usage down for games or just a temporary thing until the Vitas online services are fully working.

Just finished watching it. Thought it was ok but not great, much prefer the original Tower of Babel story. Also didnt like the fact that they used Michael Rosenbaum to voice the Flash when its Barry instead of Wally.

Another idea ive read is that the Vita is suffering the backlash from Nintendos own poor launch. For what it is, the Vita is actually a good price and has a suprisingly strong launch lineup but because of the 3DS price drop a lot of people are just holding off buying one, expecting that to happen here as well.

I'm going to stay positive. I think the Persona 4 port could be a big seller and you have to think that there will be some more big RPGs on the horizon that could get the Japanese market interested. Personally I think it will find its footing in Japan a lot quicker than it will over here and the US.

I cant find the quotes or statement from the FA (havent looked very hard though) but from what I know both Evra and the FA acknowledged that they didnt think Suarez was racist. Saying what he said doesnt make him a racist but in the country he said it, it is considered a racist comment so has to be dealt with.
