If you knew the truth about the motives of WBC you would be all the more disgusted with it. However, keep in mind that they are on public property when protesting and are not allowed into the actual funeral (or any other part of it on private property). Communities and a group of people called the Patriot Guard also try and make it very difficult for them to protest at the funerals as well.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one here who just wants to watch the world burn.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caucasian_race As opposed to Mongoloid and Negroid.

Actually that would be nationalism. Racism implies that the cause for prejudice is race, which it clearly wasn't in this case (she said she wanted people to "go back to their own country" not "People who aren't Caucasoids should go back to their own country"). There's a good chance she was a racist, as the two tend to go hand in hand, but we can't really conclude that from the video (unless I missed something). I have to agree thought that arresting her wasn't warranted. At no time did she cause physical harm to anyone else in expressing her opinion. Nor did she threaten to, or instruct others to do so (or perhaps she did and I missed it). Although she stated her opinions in a very inappropriate way, and I in no way agree with what she said, she hasn't exactly done anything that would qualify as a crime (seeing as the BNP exists, surely nationalism isn't a crime in the UK).

Either way, you have very obvious double standards in this case (and apparently with pretty much everything else too). Don't try to claim the neutral ground when calling someone out if you yourself are biased towards one side.
-
You say that, but I bet you wouldn't have a problem with someone using a word to insult someone that meant rich and violent. Also, because the people she's insulting are still caucasian, she's being nationalistic, not racist as she, at least in this case, is justifying her claims by saying that the people aren't English.

Any other game apart from COD and Modern Warfare?
Emasher replied to sagat's topic in Other Consoles
The Valve stuff is all pretty good, although they're not all war games. Battlefield has great multiplayer, but isn't for everyone, and if you haven't played an FPS in that long, it may be a bit overwhelming. -
Speaking of enchantments, where do you actually learn them in this game?

Grinded my way up to level 75 Illusion today. Thieves guild quests are quite a bit easier with access to the invisibility spell. And the grind is incredibly easy if you take a few Illusion perks.

Depends on what you didn't like about the Fallout games. The game is really about exploring a massive world, doing quests of various sizes levels of importance, developing your character, finding good equipment, etc. The production values are very high, but the game isn't the most bug free ever made (but better than previous Bethesda games). The openness of the world feels a lot more like Fallout 3 than NV, whereas you can really go anywhere in the world, and you aren't herded towards specific paths. There's stuff do to just about everywhere. Its difficult to go into the wilderness and not stumble upon a dungeon entrance, a village, or encampment. While you still have a large number of named quests like in Oblivion/Fallout 3/NV, there are also a large number of apparently procedurally generated quests that largely serve the purpose of giving meaning to doing certain things. For instance you might go to a village and talk to the leader and be asked to clear out a dungeon near the village, or maybe retrieve an item from some bandits. Your character's development is largely controlled by your actions. Leveling is like in Oblivion, only now there's no distinction between the importance of skills based on class, so you're not stuck with any particular role based on your choices at the beginning of the game. However, every level you do get to choose either Health, Magic, or Stamina to improve, and you get to select perks that can have a very significant influence on how you play the game. Your race also plays a role in what you'll excel at. Items tend to be pretty much the same as in Oblivion, so, much more varied than those in the fallout games. The major addition this time around is crafting equipment. Its similar, to the crafting in Fallout NV. However, the process of crafting and obtaining materials is a little bit different. Rather than salvaging otherwise useless stuff and building some sort of improvised weapon out of it, you instead collect raw materials by hunting animals and mining ore, then use various machines and tools to process it. In general the game is very similar to Bethesda's previous work, but its been refined and improved on substantially. If it was specific things that turned you off from the Fallout games, I'd give it a try, but if it was the overall system of the game, you might want to save your money.

Could you summarize it for those that don't?

If you have a multimeter around you could use that to test the power supply. Otherwise, you're going to have to find either another power supply or another Wii to test it out. Nintendo customer service are pretty good though, so I wouldn't worry too much if it comes down to sending it in.

Does anyone know what the particular rules are regarding the thieves guild in Skyrim? For instance, if I've started a quest for the guild and then kill someone unrelated to that quest will I still loose the reward, or is it like Oblivion where there was just a set list of people you couldn't kill for each mission?
-
That was Oblivion though. I haven't seen any reports of corrupted saves for that reason this time around. Obviously you should supplement it with fresh saves every time you do something significant, but the auto save feature is a good backup.
-
You really should have the game set to auto save every 5 minutes, it is a Bethesda game after all.

No they don't. What he's saying is that tuition fees as they are can be considered expensive enough to deter people who just want to go for the experience of university, but don't really care about studying, however, they're not enough to become a barrier to someone who really wants to study in a particular field.
-
Yep, I've got it now too.
-
Its out now, but the Mojang servers have effectively been DDoSed by everyone trying to download the game at once.
-
Its working fine for me. Probably just lag.
-
But again, the fees haven't gone up to the point where someone who takes out a student loan is going to have a lot of trouble paying it back (provided they make reasonable decisions while in school). 2000 Euro a semester is still quite accessible for that reason. When you consider the fact that the country is having financial troubles, subsidizing tuition a little bit less doesn't seem like such a big deal. What the protesters should really be protesting is lying politicians. If politicians actually did their jobs and represented the people in their electoral districts, people wouldn't need to protest.

It turns out its 2.* so no wires and gates, but its inevitable that the update will be implemented eventually. Does anyone happen to know what the mod is called that converts between Buildcraft power and Industrialcraft power? Also, Minecon live stream: http://pc.ign.com/articles/121/1212578p1.html

Some routine maintenance looks like the way to go in this case. Since you don't have a lot of software installed, I would go as far as to suggest you just backup your files and re-install windows. Short of that, run CCleaner, defrag your hard drive, and then get a better anti-virus. Install the rest of the Priform stuff either way. Those are 4 applications everyone should have installed in Windows.
