  1. Japanese Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker Introduction Video Available in Japan on 13th November. Japanese Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker site is now open. Toadette is playable and there are 70 levels in the game. It's probably Nintendo's best use of the gamepad as well. More footage again including Toadette playable. WiiU - Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker - 60 FPS Gameplay To Play this video in 60 FPS watch it in 2 times speed. If U don´t have this feature in your videobrowser, change your YouTube settings from "flash" into "HTML5": http://www.youtube.com/html5 Also change it to 720p if it isn't already.
  2. Gave in and played it. Enjoyed it very much. I was a little clueless in some regards with the controls, got caught out a few times with the QTE's and it was sometimes hard to know when was the right time to dodge, died a few times too. But the graphics, God damn they're beautiful especially the last dragon boss climbing the building. Very happy with my purchases. 60 fps really makes a difference, it's so fluid. Bring on the 24th. I'll run through the demo again tomorrow.
  3. I'd say it feels like button mashing if you don't know what you're doing. But it's deep with tonnes of combos. For the record, I'll be doing tonnes of button mashing until I get used to it. And yeah stone is worst and I don't expect to ever earn anything beyond a gold ranking.
  4. Tell me about it. I've complained about this here before but unless you're living in Ireland like ourselves it falls on deaf ears. We really get the short end of the stick with everything. I've filled out that order form before. The "select your country" is a joke. Why ask if you can't choose anything other than the UK? It's supposed to cover the region of UK and Ireland, well that's what they ask for when choosing your region on the site and yet we're excluded from things like competitions and when was the last time Nintendo held an event in Ireland? Never, that's when. I don't think they even bother to go to Belfast. Sony and Microsoft hold events and do competitions. I read before that Ireland has one of the highest per capita ratios of Playstation ownership in the world. Marketing and PR Nintendo. Learn how to do them. /Rant. http://www.n-europe.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1707141&postcount=43
  5. Will definitely try this out later. Maybe I shouldn't though but then I need to know what I'm letting myself in for on the 24th(provided it arrives on time) as I've never played the original. That and I'd like to see the eye popping graphics running at 60 fps. Like yourself @RedShell I don't think I can resist. She's too damn sexy!

  7. £18 for the adapter now looks like an even bigger rip-off. Sure it would be nice to have Gamecube controller support but I'm not paying €25 for that luxury. I've every other control method covered. I think Nintendo should have bundled it in for free or at most €5 extra. They've not marketed it very well. Like what future uses will it have if any? Patched in support for existing games, GC VC support?

  9. Just seen the cameo. Awesome stuff. Here's a Japanese MH4 commercial.
  10. It would still be missing a couple of Wii U Pro controller features though like clickable analogue sticks.
  11. Yes I did. But the 2 winners chosen at random, the first one appears to be a close friend. The second winner too appears to be a friend also and I may be wrong, I apologise if I am but I didn't see any tweet from @zebadee123 and they're not a follower of nintendo_review. Both of which we were meant to do. So how did she qualify?
  12. And it turned out $H1T€!
  13. The last couple of lines from Yamagami("I don't know how much I can say. I can't really reveal anything. But let me just say you can definitely look forward to what is coming.") could well be a hint at Platinum working on another project for Nintendo. They've said before that they'd love to work on Starfox, what little they did in Bayonetta 2 looks impressive and Starfox needs a developer.
  14. Pic of the day. The Flying Men that appear in the Magicant stage will ally with the first fighter that touches them. Watch out for their flying cross-chop attacks! They also accumulate damage, and a grave gets erected every time a Flying Man falls in battle. And of course, only up to five Flying Men can appear at a time.
  15. I'm only now seeing that there's no bundle for the Wii U with the game, adapter and controller. I just presumed there was one like the Japanese are getting. I nearly bought the bundle from Gamestop a while back that had the game and adapter for €70. Again I just assumed that the controller was meant to be included as did many others, though it wasn't clear and they since removed the listing. Anyway bullet dodged but why isn't there a bundle for all 3? I've plenty of Gamecube controllers and Wavebirds but would have preferred to buy a bundle containing all 3.
  16. [TWEET]519664635461394432[/TWEET] Should they have added a second Z button on the left shoulder? I think possibly yes. That way it would match the Wii Classic and Pro controller like for like and it have been a clear differentiator from the old Gamecube controller. But then you could argue sure if you do that, why not sort out the d pad while you're at it and where would you stop with the changes and would it cease to be a Gamecube controller then? That white controller still looks smexy as hell though!

  18. RIVE - Pure Gameplay Trailer It's been a while since we released the announcement trailer; time to show some new footage! We’ve been relatively quiet lately, but we’ve been super busy visiting a number of expositions to demo RIVE. We’ve been to Gamescom, Tokyo Game Show, INDIGO and the EGX. In the meantime we obviously continued working on the game, as can be shown in the first official gameplay trailer! Enjoy! &ap=%%2526fmt%%3D22&fmt=22&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0xe1600f&color2=0xfebd01">&ap=%%2526fmt%%3D22&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0xe1600f&color2=0xfebd01" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="615" height="360"> http://twotribes.com/message/rive-first-gameplay-trailer/ Can one the mods change the thread symbol to Wii U please? I realised just as I clcked to create the thread and I couldn't change in editing.
  19. To be honest that "competition" was a bit of a shambles.
  20. Yeh it's not cool but then this is the same company that's still charging €45 at least for a Wii controller all these years later.
  21. Yes as long as you use the Gamecube controller adapter. Depends which side you're coming from. I always found it easier to pull off when you're on the left hand side. The same then doing the hurricane kick on the opposite side.
  22. Jeez relax your cacks! I just seen that and was about to delete the post. The Japanese the lucky $H1T$ are getting a white Gamecube controller for Smash. Also it's been confirmed that the Gamecube controller adapter is compatible with Wavebirds. I don't see why they wouldn't have been but still good to know.
  23. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U & amiibo - Trailer
  24. Outside of a couple of game specific Directs(Hyrule Warriors and Bayonetta 2) I don't think we've had or heard a thing about Wii U since E3. I could be wrong but I don't remember anything. I think there'll be a Smash Direct and an Amiibo Direct. We really are spoilt rotten.
