She's missing something whereas with Samus you were gaining something and it was an important feature. The only way these would be worth more with something missing is if some of the horrible stands were gone.

Ha ha! When I seen that POTD this morning I thought you would like it alright. It didn't cross my mind to knock it. If people like it, good for them. Variety is the spice of life or maybe I'm in a good mood this morning despite my copy of Smash still not arriving yet.

Pic of the day. Some characters were displayed flat in their original games, so we made some trophies flat as well. For example, flat trophies from Rhythm Heaven and WarioWare… Strike different poses when viewed from behind!! The designers made these from scratch for this game--thank you, designers. There are other trophies that may strike a completely different pose, and some may not even show their backs at all.

I'd give it a 7, tops. Some of the reasons you mention are reasons to mark it down. Buying a larger battery capacity is something we shouldn't have to do. I'd say other things like poor hard drive size is another negative reason but they didn't mention that either. Miiverse is alright, it could be better. Posts disappear in a matter of minutes in some communities. There's a lot of reasons to keep it from a high score, slow releases, lack of variety, no 3rd party support. Like Nintendo TVii is dead will we ever see 2 gamepads used on the one system? What about buying a gamepad in a shop?

That defective double arm cannoned Samus amiibo has sold for $2,500 on Ebay. :o That's ridiculous. Yeah it's always been that loud. When I use the browser I take the disc out because it's really annoying. After all the updates they still haven't patched it to give an option to shut down the disc drive when it's not in use.

Why would you go to Gamestop? Smyths have it for €50 and free postage. Sure for €5 more than what you paid in Gamestop you could have got the adapter bundle. That's a sweet deal. Cheapest here in Ireland is €70. And the same goes for the amiibo. 3 amiibo here and you're looking at €40+.

I didn't say they were but Nintendo are brutal at advertising. Metroid and F-Zero have never had the same marketing campaigns as something like Mario. F-Zero GX had no advertising at all and it fails commercially, gee, what a surprise. These are the games people want, I don't remember hearing people ask for Captain Turd. But Nintendo have the assets sitting over from 3D World so they say to themselves, "where's that cookie-cutter"? And where did 3D World before it spring from? cook...ie...cut...ter. Captain Turd is a turd. Yes it is lazy and no you can't polish a turd.

I wouldn't say it's amazing and I won't be touching it with a 10 foot barge pole. Too me it's another lazy effort, I didn't ask for it and I'd take a million and one games before it like I don't know, say maybe F-Zero or Metroid. Something of interest. I expect it to bomb just like it did in Japan. Nintendo need to cop on.

Smyths the liars never delivered the game today. It says on their website: I did that and ordered early on Friday morning. It better arrive tomorrow.

Mario Kart 8 was a much better deal and did so well in part because of the free game giveaway. Mario Kart 8 was advertised on TV too. Smash Bros. Wii U had neither. The competition had deals for both of the new consoles and their ads are on in heavy rotation. The Wii U has no deals and is overpriced. How can it expect to compete when it's just $30 less than a Xbox One? I'm not going to repeat the myriad of disadvantages the Wii U has in comparison. The Wii U's advantages are 1st party output and the gamepad, the latter of which is void as a reason because Nintendo haven't utilised it properly. I'm so angry at Nintendo, this for me despite the positives will go down as the biggest f#ck up they've ever made. The list of negatives is endless.

I can't understand how people aren't concerned about this. This could be the Wii U's last real Christmas on the market. Retailers won't keep selling the Wii U at this rate. Here in Ireland, it's just Smyths, Argos and Gamestop that's left selling it. In Gamestop it's been relegated to a tiny section. In the last year Harvey Norman(their Wii U section was pitiful) and HMV have scrapped the Wii U. Tesco have stopped selling Nintendo products altogether. Add that to all the other retailers that have given up on Wii U, who'll be left selling it this time next year? This is serious. If you want to sit in your bubble, fine but sooner or later it's going to affect you and you'll have to face reality. Nintendo are continually damaging themselves both in sales, developers and the general public perception.

Smash Bros. Wii U debuted at no. 14 in the UK individual format sales chart. Disappointing but hardly surprising. Pic of the day. When you play Master Orders in Special Orders mode, you will need to use a certain amount of gold to buy a ticket to enter. If you win the challenge, you'll get a reward determined by the difficulty level. The challenges may sound simple, but playing them on Very Hard is quite challenging. On the other hand, the rules in Crazy Orders are very different. You'll earn one turn for every win, and each turn gets harder and harder. Some of your accumulated damage will get carried over. Crazy Hand will challenge your after 2 turns, so you'll earn your rewards if you beat him. The final battle will be an HP battle and the more accumulated damage you have, the more HP you'll have in the fight...so the trick is to be a little risky.

IGN Wii U (Re)Review 8/10

Watched Breaking Bad Series 3 and 4 this weekend passing the time until Smash Bros. arrives tomorrow. I watched the first 2 when they first came out then fell behind. It is absolutely awesome and is ow my all time favourite series on TV replacing Lost(the ending of that was such a huge disappointment). I'm tempted to start into series 5 but I don't want it to end. It's so addictive just like Blue Ice.
