  1. Respect and indulgence are not quite the same thing.
  2. Hey, it's Maase... He does this with everything. I've never seen such a volatile person in my life. He probably changes his mind around 5 times a day based on very thin and vague rumours or pieces of irrelevant information.
  3. For the wiimote to lose sight of the sensor bar, it would have to be pointing way fucking off the telly... Motion+ does nothing in the IR department, it's solely for motion.
  4. A lot of ass kissing in that interview.... "Thank you very much. And congratulations on a very strong year of Nintendo software." What? And hammering in a Wii Music refference whilst talking about other platforms' games such as Spore and LBP?
  5. I'm always amazed by that screen. And it's GC graphics! Wii should have SO much better by now.... But only a handful of studios are trying.
  6. I thought so, but still wouldn't consider that completing it, since a bad run can bring you down from Pro and you can always keep on upping your score, I guess. I don't consider Wii Sports a "completable" game, it's one you just play. Nope, alphabetically. :awesome: Why would you assume I hate Zelda the most?
  7. My collection: Godfather - Completed Metroid Prime 3 - Completed Okami - Not Completed Super Mario Galaxy - Completed Super Paper Mario - Completed Tomb Raider Anniversary - Completed Trauma Center: Second Opinion - Not Completed Wii Sports - What do you call completing this game? Zack & Wiki - Not Completed Zelda TP - Completed What the fuck...?
  8. And it was published in the USA on 17th November 2007.
  9. I'm not playing much either. I bought Okami in July, started it, played 8 hours and loved every minute and then 2 months went by until I picked it up again...! Work and other stuff got in the way. Now it's been 3 days since last I played it, I'm still tuned into the game, have not lost my way yet. And I hope I don't. I'm at the part where you have to find 5 warrior dogs in a village. Yesterday, I was looking up on Tomb Raider Underworld. Saw all the videos at IGN and liked what I saw. I own TR: Anniversary and loved the game so if Underworld keeps in the same spirit true to the saga (ie, mood and environments, rather than combat shoot-em-up) I will pick it up. Thing is, I am planning to buy a 360 this year still, so I will probably end up buying TR Underworld for that, and not for Wii.
  10. That was Chris the Great. *points at him*
  11. It's the same game, you know? Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
  12. Yeah, Trauma Center is very precise and I'd say that the cursor in the Wii Menu, MP3 and SMG are equally as precise. In Zelda it's laggy.
  13. Panmusic, how would you describe the behaviour of the cursor in the shooting bits? Is it loose, laggy, tight, precise? Annoying or good?
  14. No. How about you head over to IGN or Gametrailers and watch some videos?
  15. Best voice actors I've ever heard were in Eternal Darkness and not one big name was in that, I think. Unless you consider David Hayter, Cam Clarke, Jennifer Hale and Paul Eiding (respectively Solid Snake, Liquid Snake, Naomi and Col. Campbell from MGS). And they were all better in ED than their cheesy counterparts in MGS. Well, at least not "A" actors from Hollywood like Billy Bob Thornton and Dennis Hopper from Deadly Creatures.

    Wii Music!

Yeah, E3 made me feel embarassed for Nintendo when they showed Wii Music. Now this guy really showed the game well, in a non-rushed way. He took his time to explain what it is and demoed it pretty well and clearly. Now with this we can really see what the game is about, something that E3 got totally wrong. That said, this game is most definitely not for me, although I do know music. It's just not what I want from a video game.

    The Calling

Corrected. Wow, the gameplay appears awesome! It's almost like an old point and click adventure in the 1st person. And it's satisfyingly scary. Takes a lot from The Grudge.
  18. Yeah, I didn't quite realize that removing the last sentence (which appeared to me was their way of saying they're looking forward to playing it just because of its uniqueness on Wii...) would make the first one sound so bad... That said, I'm still interested in the game, it looks like old school arcade fun. Especially when he finds food items in crates, that's classic right there! That along with cheesy story and corny voice acting makes this game almost like a return to the 90's.
  19. Take this as constructive criticism, but you could have linked that. http://wii.ign.com/articles/920/920096p1.html Well, they say some good and some bad.... "(...) some show-stopping effects work, with billowing smoke, molten debris and towering lava walls all rendered with surprising aplomb, given the Wii's relatively middling horsepower. Admittedly, the downside to the stellar disaster work is that environment geometry and frame rate takes a small hit but it's worth it as Nintendo's console recreates earthquakes, fire storms and flash floods." "Our only real concern with Disaster's otherwise competent on-rails shooting is the pointer's relative looseness. It's certainly not a deal breaker but the slight cursor lag (which annoyed us in Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles and annoys us equally here) just doesn't offer the kind of satisfying responsiveness we'd appreciate in this type of game." "Based on what we've seen so far, Disaster Day of Crisis is as 'B' as its cinematic inspiration. It's dumb, it's flawed and hardly likely to go down in history as a classic." Let's await further developments.
  20. But the point here is that the odds of Nintendo making a crap console, giving the evidence of its history, are close to nil.
  21. Your post made me go watch a few videos of this game, that to be honest hadn't grabbed my interest yet. And I'm still not sure it has now.... But there are some interesting videos at IGN (the latest one doesn't show shit though...) and what I seem to like the most about this game is the music and the sound in general. Very discreet and mood setting, reminds me of the first time i played Metroid Prime, just before you enter the Chozo Ruins. Seems to be a platformer with a linear path, not too different from something like Prince of Persia, except you control a spider or a scorpion. I must say the spider gameplay seems better than the scorpion one, more ambient. And ambient is this game's strongest feature, IMO. The visuals look just too brown and yellow.... I'm not saying it should be rainbow world, and I know it takes place in the desert, but a little more colour wouldn't harm it. Something as simple as a blue sky would help, for example. The colour palette just seems a little bit too monochromatic.
  22. Only now have I seen those 2 IGN videos of a whole level, about 17 minutes long, and it's amazing! Well, the interior part of the level looks a bit bland, all rooms and corridors appear to look the same. The video doesn't show a map screen, but I guess a map will be necessary at some point. But when the guy gets outside, it looks very good! Did you see the water on that river?? Looked amazing, IMO. And did you notice that there are no visible loadings? The whole level just kept loading in the background, not even using Metroid Prime's door system, and it was 100% seamless. Also, I really liked the music of the outside part of the level, when he was "making an example" out of those alien scumbags. First quiet and suspenseful, then when the battle rages it got more epic. Dynamic music change. Nice depth effects too. The gameplay feels very fluid, although the controls weren't set to maximum sensitivity, the guy was playing with a pretty big bounding box. The ASE puzzles were very basic, but I hope they'll get more complex in latter parts of the game. And since the aliens are using portals, I bet there will be levels in their world, towards the end of the game.
  23. Man, I don't know if you guys already saw or posted this, but I gotta spread this video around, funniest shit I've seen in ages! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydt0RoQkuGo
