  1. Nintendo will force it out no matter what.

No they won't. They don't need to. They'll have MP3 and Mario Galaxy for Christmas so will not need to 'force it out'. SSBB will most likely come around May 2008

  2. It looks like the chances of us seeing a sequel to the stupidly addictive Xbox Live Arcade shooter Geometry Wars are quite good, if Bizarre Creations' reaction to CVG's queries this afternoon are anything to go by.

When we asked Boom Boom Rocket masterminds Sam Hall and Nick Bygrave if we'll see more of the psychedelic shooter in the future, they replied simply with shared looks, giggles and a hushed response "we can't say anything about that". It's blatantly coming then.

    :D

Hmm, co op would be ACE

  3. Hero

I'd seen this before but struggled with understanding the plot and such. I enjoyed it a hell of a lot more this time, playing it on my shiny new TV surely helped that. The film is beautiful in so many aspects, definitely some of the best cinematography I have ever witnessed. The story has never really gripped me as much as i'd like to but it still earns an 8 for me, although i'm so tempted to give it a 9. I'm very strict with my ratings though.

    8/10

  4. Just been to local Waitrose to buy easter eggs and stuff. Came to bloody £16.55 for just 4 people, and I was trying not to spend much...

have been revising this past week.......doin around 3 hours of revision per day. Its getting harder.

Yeah that's pretty much what i've been doing. Any longer and I get really bored and stressed and have to stop. If I keep it up though with 2/3 hours a day all easter (except for this weekend) then i'll be pretty satisfied at the end of it.

  5. Been and will hopefully shall continue revising a lot for my AS exams that start next month. That's been my main focus so far. Been pretty boring but i need to work hard so will feel much more satisfied at the end of the holidays. Going out in the countryside for lunch and stuff on Easter sunday with family, which should be nice. I want to go shopping somewhere next week because I want lots of expensive clothes.

  6. What to expect, IMO is, you swing it to the left and he swings to the left, same for the right, you a a transversal slice and he does it, you do a vertical slice upwards or downwards and he does that.

But that isn't 1:1 that's simply more mapped stances, the height of the swing from the ground would be fixed amongst other things, keeping it simple, responsive and above all, fun.

Exactly, that's what i'm expecting at least. I never meant actual 1:1, but just movement replicated accurately.

  7. 'Proper' sword fighting is unrealistic at this point.

That's not what it seemed by everyone's reaction when that trailer was first shown. I don't see how it's that unrealistic. It's what the Wii is supposedly all about, and if it can't deliver the goods with the motion sensing then it basically is a Gamecube with tacked on waggle. It hurts me to say this but when you open your eyes it really is the truth.

Oh and I never meant 1:1 precisely, i just mean that we were hoping that our motion would at least be replicated on the Wii to some extent.

  8. The problem is of course, would an actual, realistic sword fight system be any fun?

Of course it would, that's what the majority of us were buying into with the Wii, proper motion control. So you'd rather have it like it is with Zelda where no matter what way you move the controller it always performs the same movement on the screen? It may as well just be a button.

  9. Bad-tempered.

A levels are stressing me out, i'm fed up of my crappy job, I messed up an opportunity with a girl, i'm pissed off with family members, i'm pissed off with some friends, i'm fed up of where I live, i'm fed up of the people where I live, i'm confused about my future. AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I feel like splashing out loads on clothes or something to cheer me up.

  10. My top 5:

    1. Gears of War

    2. Dead Rising

    3. Geometry Wars (XBLA)

    4. Kameo

    5. Worms (XBLA)

I don't have many games though. Along with them the only others I have are PDZ, Table Tennis, and Enchanted Arms. I plan to buy loads of 360 games between summer-christmas though; Eternal Sonata, Blue Dragon,Assasin's Creed, Halo 3, Lost Odysee and possibly Mass Effect.

I dont think anything can top gears in co-op though..

Totally agree. Gears in co-op with a mate is without a doubt the most fun i've had so far this generation.

  11. - Full motion control over your knife.

Will that mean properly 'full' motion control like we were promised in games before the Wii launched? Because i've yet to see it properly like the guy who used it as a sword in the TGS 2005 Wii trailer. That's what i've been excited about with the Wii and so far it hasn't delivered.

  12. Oh yes, forgot. Boycott the 3rd parties!

What are you talking about now? I have no problem with buying third party games...when quality ones comes out I will definitely buy, but for now, none of those games appeal to me, regardless of who the bloody developer is.
