  2. The Japanese date has been confirmed. 23rd February 2006. Argh, I hope they have already started translating or are going to do all the localization quickly soon because I want it before the summer :hmm:

Oh an apparently this is the final name:

Baten Kaitos: Wings of the Beginning and the Heir to the Gods

..erm....one of the longest game names ever? :heh:

    Some new scans:

    Info(Babelfish Translation):

The history takes seat 20 years before the history of the first opus and will proceed in the same world. Sagi, a member of elite of the empire, wrongly finds marked murder of the emperor of Alfar and must thus leave to hide with his/her friends Millyard and Guillo. They will meet during their way certain already known characters such as Gibari, Savyna, Geldoblame and Ladekahn, all will be of course younger. They will have to then find together the cause of a brutal change in the world. The system of combat by Magnus charts will be always present. The type-setter Motoi Sakuraba will be back to undertake the musics of Baten Kaitos II.

  3. My dad took me out to this chinese restaurant in Norwich that I haven't been to in years called 'The Hong Kong' and it was bloody fantastic too. None of us had eaten anything since breakfast so we pigged ourselves.

prawn crackers->chicken and sweetcorn soup->Savoury assortment(battered crab things, crispy seaweed)->confit of duck(pancakes)-> LOTS of main dishes e.g. Sweet and Sour Chicken, Beef in Black Bean sauce etc.

10/10 - One of best Chinese meals I've ever had...and there I was thinking I didn't like Chinsese much anymore :heh:

  4. Its so awesome, my Xbox360 is pretty much paid for.I SHOULD be getting the premium pack for xmas(I convinced my Mum that I want it but she still a bit edgy that its £280 but I think she'll get it ) and also, I want Kameo which I was going to buy myself, but my sister said shes spending up to £50 on me this year because she has loads of money from beginning working so thats that paid for :D

I might buy PD0 but i'll wait and see. Other than that I'm waiting till next year for other games, most launched games will probably be rushed anyway.

  5. Do you have a favorite video game?

The only time I play is maybe the 20 minutes I spend testing rivals' new machines. I don't play video games in my free time. On the weekends, I fix things around the house, garden, or play the guitar. Or I'll exercise, go swimming, take the dog for a walk, or go for a hike.

Awww bless him. I can't believe he doesn't play Nintendo games in his spare time though

There is interesting chatter consuming our friends in Japan this morning, with talk of an early and somewhat low-key showing of the Mario game currently underway for the Nintendo Revolution.

A Nintendo-focused set of keynote addresses has been organised for December 2 in Kyoto at Ritsumeikan University. Part of the Digital Interactive Entertainment Conference 2005, the National Symposium about videogames will see a 30 minute address from Shigeru Miyamoto.

Several well-known independent sources contacted SPOnG to tell us that they had been hearing gossip for some days which pointed towards some sort of Mario showing at the university event.

Of course, this is to be treated strictly as an unconfirmed rumour for now. We’ll keep digging and try and bring you confirmation from a party close to Nintendo in the coming week or so.

After Merrick said no Revolution games will be shown this year it makes this rumour look useless, but you never know.... I wish it would happen anyway.

  7. Uuuu guys... not to advertise or anything... but a new Miyamoto interview is really turning some heads :/

In the future, what do you think video games will be like?

"It's convenient to make games that are played on TVs. But I always wanted to have a custom-sized screen that wasn't the typical four-cornered cathode-ray-tube TV. I've always thought that games would eventually break free of the confines of a TV screen to fill an entire room. But I would rather not say anything more about that."

Posted a little news item about it: http://mozlapunk.web-log.nl/log/3979197

I know, fock the what? This is one misterious comment.

That makes the chance of Steroscopic 3D even more likely.

  9. - The USB Wi-fi adapter will also be compatible with Revolution.

    Okay.

    - Revolution will launch worlwide within 14 weeks maximum, that means on the same quarter in every region.

    Good good.

    - Multiplayer mode in Revolution will be similar to the NDS: multiple players with only one copy of the game.

    Good good.

    - You'll be able to download retro games from different regions (for instance, an European user could download Super Mario RPG for the SNES from the US server).

Fantastic news, we'll be able to play games europe never saw, e.g. Earthbound.

    - When played on Revolution, N64 games will have better framerate but there won't be significant graphical improvements.

    Okay.

    - No Revolution games will be shown in 2005.

WHAT?! Someone I know has lied to me...

    - There won't be any significant differences in the graphics of Revolution compared to the other systems

Good good, but I hope it uses Steroscopic 3d like we were talknig about in the other thread.
