Wait, hold up! 15th of January? But that's my birthday! Are you actually me? Next you're gonna be telling me you were born in 1990!
-
Oh wait, there's only around 10 new ones!? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! All that buildup! For what!? Just enough to build a team with? I am having one hilarious morning today! It's so funny, I'm gonna ignore the fact you're using Alolan forms and Mega Evolutions to shore up S/M's numbers. EDIT: Wait, I've got more! At this rate, you'll be catching a Treecko in 2023!

I literally had to read that twice! Geez Ronnie, that's pretty crummy bait, even by your standards. I mean, I don't care as much as you do, but even I can see the appeal behind bringing them back. Just because you didn't like them, doesn't mean they don't have fans. Then again, you think Yooka-Laylee is pointless these days, so maybe I shouldn't be surprised. You know, part of me wants them to announce Switch versions just to see the amount of crow you'd have to swallow. EDIT: Of course they'd announce a time just as I was posting. Where are you, Ninjas? I know you're watching! Anyway, that's a Friday. I might be able to catch it!

Congratulations, Pokemon GO! You now have more variety in you than Sun/Moon!

Actually, they do completely cheat later on. Been doing so ever since Emerald. Maybe not in the first 20 or so battles, but sooner or later, during Super Single Battles, the computer starts manipulating the odds in their favour. Never use a move with less than 100 accuracy, because it will miss at the utter worst time and ruin your streak. I managed to complete Single Battles. Red was the 20th fight, and I completely destroyed him without him getting a single hit on me. Well chuffed! And then it booted me out and, to my utter dismay, said I had unlocked "Super Single Battle" That was the easy mode!? It was hitting me with fully evolved Pokemon with pretty great movesets and that wasn't even counting towards the 50-win streak!? Naturally, I cried myself to sleep that night. At least I can get a Destiny Knot now. In case you're wondering, my team consisted of Tapu Koko, Nihilego and Buzzwole, who is even more hilarious than Inciniroar. It has the brilliant urge to flex all of the time. Sent out to battle? Flex! Performing an attack? Gotta flex first! Getting attacked? Just Flex through it! Even it's fainting animation is just one massive flex! And feeding it a Poke Bean nets you one hell of a gun show! This thing is too funny!

Welp, it's NSMB art style! Pack it up, peeps! The dream is over, we're done. Seriously though, I'm trying to find other Ninty franchises in that picture but I just... Can't. Still, didn't expect Forza to get in there in the form of the cardboard audience, what a weird crossover! It's like a Ninty version of Where's Wally? I know Zelda's in there somewhere... I could go on all day.

Room's open now, @S\.C\.G Jump in whenever you like. EDIT: Sorry about the 10 minute early disconnection, Complete Power Blackout on @Dcubed's block. At least we got him to HR 6. Hopefully we have more time next weekend.
-
It doesn't have the hidden ability. He's looking for one with Harvest. A female always determines whether a hidden ability can be passed on, so it's no good for him.
-
Done, see you in 15 minutes! Thanks very much @Ike. 4 perfect IV's is very nice. 2 IV's is the best I could manage without a Destiny Knot and half an hour, but I'm sure you can make it work.
-
OK then, I'll meet you at the Festival Plaza at about 4:10 pm, that OK? I'll take an Exeggcute, please.
-
Geez, and I thought I had it bad... Worth noting that hidden ability Pokemon can only start appearing after you beat about 15 Pokemon in a row. Would you like me to breed one for you? Shouldn't take me more than half an hour.
-
To be honest, I wouldn't get too hung up on natures until you actually go about building a competitive team. It's not THAT important. Do it for Solgaleo though, you have to catch it to progress, and you don't want to regret not going for it later on. (I recommend Adamant or Jolly) Oh, and there's nothing wrong with asking for Pokemon here. I'm sure you can find people willing to trade you some Moon exclusive Pokemon. (Hint, hint, wink, wink)
-
Turn off EXP Share as soon as you receive it. Trivialises any kind of challenge you might get from playing this. Nothing wrong with turning it on once you've finished though. Or if you decide to grind a few levels. Just don't leave it on. Also, try and use Pokemon you've never used before. Yes, we all know Magikarp gets pretty decent when it evolves, but switching things up is more interesting. EDIT: Oh, and don't forget to get a Magearna. It's a mythical Pokemon whose event is going on right now. Don't wanna miss that. Still, it's a legendary, so probably don't want to use it to finish the game, that's lame.

My playthrough team is a horrible mash of bunched up typing, awful natures and outright slowness. Gen 7 as a whole is mostly made up of tanks, really strange. I got destroyed in the first fight by a Moody Glalie.

Get a Pangoro, it's the perfect Pokemon for HA hunting, it learns entrainment at Lv. 45 (Changes the targets ability to yours, which let's you see the original ability), can learn False Swipe (obvious benefit there) and Thief (Good for stealing items like Cubone's Thick Club) and it's pretty tanky to boot! Pancham is at Route 11, 20% chance, so not too hard to find. Yeah, STAB Flare Blitz with doubled attack, thanks to Thick Club and no recoil thanks to Rock Head, There's potential there! Marowak has a decent Physical movepool to boot. The shiny one is not Adamant, which is what I'd want. So close. Anyway, not too fussed, the shiny Alolan Marowak is a minor difference, time to breed it. Well, first I have to get a Destiny Knot from the Battle Tree, and I've only got one Pokemon that can hold it's own. (Modest Nihilego, finally got that modest nature Abra, after I got every other possible stat-enhancing nature first, typical, but at least I have access to them all now.) Speaking of, if anyone would like me to breed a Synchronise Abra of any nature for them, just ask. If I can stop one person going through my pain, I'd feel better about wasting 20 hours going for it. So I'm going for Tapu Koko next. Rash seems like a good fit, because of it's great Special Movepool, access to U-Turn and a great ability that activates when it switches in.

You'd think I'd be chuffed to bits, but I was way irritated when this showed up. Because I was trying for a Hidden Ability one at the time. It wouldn't stop with the reinforcements! Luck kicked in though, because it has the Hidden Ability anyway. So all's good. It says a lot when a shiny Pokemon was easier to catch then a Hidden Ability one. I hate S.O.S battles... Anyway, @Ugh first aid found out that something happens if you spin around on the spot quickly. Try it out.
-
If it's not a hidden ability, you could always use an Ability Capsule.
-
It really feels like it should evolve. Honestly surprised when I found out it didn't. Other than that, I'm pretty indifferent to it. @Ugh first aid trained one during the cause of the game, other than a pretty cool move in Pollen Puff, it doesn't really have the stats to back it up. She ended up replacing it because it struggled late game.
-
Right, @S\.C\.G, you... Actually, you know what, at this point, you know what I'm going to ask. So I'll just post a question mark. ?
-
I can't believe I'm about to ask you this @GenericAperson, but here goes. You have Moon, right? Could you do me a favour and go to the Heahea City Apparel Shop, buy a Bone Keeper Tank, wear it and then go online on Festival Plaza? Because of course the one piece of clothing I actually like is not available in Sun...
-
Well, if you can catch them there, I'll go there then. Thanks! Can you believe I went through the whole game and never saw a Fletchinder? It's not in my Pokedex at all!
-
All you guys with your F-Zero and your Mario Sunshine... You need to dream bigger! Four Swords Adventures! Online play! Local Play through 4 Switch consoles! Arguments! Treachery! Fistfights! Lost Friendships!

It may be too late now, but I've heard the Ultra Beasts are allowed in the Battle Tree for some bizarre reason. If that's true, I'll probably use a couple of them there. And yes, EXP. Share gives EV's to all of your Pokemon, be very careful. There's also this weird mechanic when you chain S.O.S battles that apply a multiplier to EV's gained. It's great if you're looking to max a stat, but horrible if you happen to want to only give a certain amount to a Pokemon. (Something like 128 for instance. If you're looking for more precise EV training Isle Evelup, while slow, allows for more accurate EV building. At Level 3, you get 4 EV's per session. So for 128 EV's, use 10 vitamins to get to 100, then put the Pokemon in Isle Evelup for 7 sessions to get the last 28. (3 and a half hours, half that if you use beans.) Mohn helpfully tells you how many EV's you've gained if you tap your Pokemon. Good luck, I know I've never pulled off a 50 win streak in the battle Tower before, and this looks to be even tougher. Thanks for the tip, I'll have to try that out. Yeah, I considered Magby, but they can only be caught in the SAME BLOODY PLACE AS FLETCHLING! Why does life hate me? Anyone willing to trade me a Fletchling/Magby, preferably with Flame Body? I've got plenty of Sun and Moon exclusives!
-
You pretty much have the same thoughts about EoS as I do. While I do prefer New Super Mystery Dungeon in pretty much all regards (Except story, EoS' is just too good), it's really difficult, so it's a poor first choice. I have to ask though, did you play any more after the credits rolled?

It's odds like that that make me glad I put in the effort to get a complete living dex. Instead, now that I've got an Oval Charm, I've been breeding constant Abras to try and get a Synchronise Abra for every nature. I'm more than halfway done, but it refuses to give me a Modest one. The stretch near the nursury is pathetically short, coupled with O-Powers being dropped, it's making the whole thing a bit of an ordeal... I could get a Flame Body Talonflame to help speed up the process, but the only place I can get a Fletchling is in a place where Nihilego is, and that's what I want Modest for! So it's a stalemate... Isle Evelup is also no replacement for Super Training, but at least I can do it while I sleep.
