  1. Grimmsnarl can have Prankster as an ability, so it doesn't even need to be faster than Mewtwo to get a status effect in there. Probably why people are using it.
  2. It's nice to see people get punished for using Zacian, Zamazenta and Eternatus. Those are not great choices, one Earthquake and you're done. I plan on attempting it with either Dusclops or the Golisopod I'm currently training sometime over the weekend. Should be do-able.
  3. I couldn't resist. Especially with the melancholic Final Results music, it was too perfect.
  4. No, not quite. Leech Life was super effective. That whopping 20 base power move that no good Pokémon could learn.
  5. Max raids are probably the one place Golisopod shines. That ability is more of a hindrance in normal fights, but when you can't switch, it's no longer a problem. I might have to train one up myself for Max Raids, been meaning to do so. I'm genuinely impressed you pulled that off with a CPU trainer though. They can never be above Level 70, so they can't have been any help.
  6. Pretty much. Simply put, each month, people taking part get matched up with someone else and then race each other on 3 Grand Prixs using the SNES Online App. One of you then sends me the results of each race and the better you perform, the more points you get. But you standing in can work, I'll wait a day to see if @viceview51 responds. If he doesn't, you can race @Vileplume2000 instead.
  7. Really? I mean you used a bulky bug Pokémon, while I'm planning on using a bulky Ghost Pokémon, sounds like we're using similar strategies. Golisopod is a fine choice, assuming you don't run into the Mewtwo that runs Rock Slide.
  8. OK, @drahkon, it's my bad that you left the lobby, I should have mentioned the way to swap vehicles sooner. Been a while since I had to do that. The score you got in the 2nd GP was 12. With your current average being 45.8, you're welcome to discount that GP if you want. (Although it will be treated as if you weren't there.
  9. @viceview51, you and @Vileplume2000 really need to get a move on with your Super Mario Kart session. Feburary is almost over.
  10. Did I mention that I am Luck incarnate? Just making sure.
  11. Nah, the tweaked Baby Face one. Coursebot was good too. @S.C.G, just a heads up. Pit's (and Dark Pit's) Up B isn't an actual attack, so there isn't much point in trying to do a follow up attack with that. Good matches tonight though!
  12. YES! Yes to everything about that stage!
  13. There's a Friends option that blocks randoms from entering the arena, definitely not that.
  14. You can do that in the lobby by pressing Y, you don't need to leave the lobby.
  15. Why play with randoms when I have N-Europe to play with?
  16. OK, yeah. Hydreigon was a mistake, the Mewtwo has blizzard as well as a fighting move. I've also seen Fire Blast, Psystrike, Earthquake, Rock Slide as well as nasty setup moves like Nasty Plot, Bulk Up and Calm Mind. Bulky Ghost Pokémon are probably the way to go here. Corsola, Eviolite Dusclops, Sableye and the like. Moves that remove stat increases like Clear Smog and Haze will be helpful as well as long as you're careful not to reset a stat drop.
  17. Thanks for the feedback, @Sméagol. What can I say? Inspiration strikes in the stupidest places. It wasn't the Sunshine theme at first, but then I heard that accordian start the Isle Delfino music and thought "Yes, this is music a trampoline would play" I'm afraid Bowser in a Koopa Clown Car always throws lit Bob-ombs, at least in Mario Bros. 3 style. A shame that, I would've preferred unlit ones as well. Speaking of that boss, I designed that arena so that the trampoline can never get despawned if you bring it with you. You might have found it easier if you just punted the trampoline into a corner and just ignored it while you focused on Bowser. As for that Fire Flower, it's there mostly for people who already have a Super Mushroom to fall back on if they get hit. I wanted to award smart planning with an extra hit for people who waited until they really needed it. I mean, the description said, "Don't let it out of your sight" Someone is bound to jack it if you go too far ahead. I think the Hammer Bros did it. What? There aren't any in that level? Exactly.
  18. It's pretty cool. Don't think we've had a Grass/Dark Pokémon since Gen 3. Leaf Guard is a pretty situational ability though. Mythical implies that it won't be available through the Expansion Pass. Which is odd.
  19. Is that a thing? Please tell me that's not a thing. And here I was thinking that you can't play Smash in a more dull way then without items...
  20. Stock matches tonight at either 9pm or 9:15. Not sure yet.
  21. Highlights from the 90's night last week. Featuring me, @RedShell, @BowserBasher, @S.C.G, @L0RDR0B and @Nicktendo. I hope I'm not forgetting anyone... Features way too many Home-Run Bats, a 0 to 90% combo in less than 6 seconds and an absolutely disgusting K.O steal on Venom which I might have pulled off.
  22. Next League Night: Tonight 8pm Room 1: @BowserBasher is host @Glen-i @BowserBasher @RedShell @martinist @drahkon @S.C.G @viceview51
  23. Who likes escort missions? What? No-one? Well, I've made a terrible mistake... Anyway, if you do lose it, red pipes will get you quickly back to the beginning.
  24. I mean, the hardest part in most Max raids is surviving until the two shield phases are done, then you're golden. As long as you do damage, you get rid of a shield part. My Hydreigon can easily finish it off once that's done. Steel Pokémon aren't a bad choice either, thanks to their resistance. (Assuming they don't have a second type that's weak to Psychic)
