This is a 3D model of my Saxaphone. Didn't take too long as well

I just leave my router on. None of my PC 'have' to be on for it to work. They're quite easy to set up, and will run independently when uv got it up and running.

I know, it's my only downside. BF2 and FEAR both really need 2gigs for some reason. FEAR MP, which is just a graphically intensive at point really, funs absolutly perfect on max settings. However The single player DEMO stutter a bit, especially when moving from one area to another. BF2 runs pretty smoothly, I don't get any real problems there (apart from my wireless network). Otherwise everything else runs perfect

Like many people who played and enjoyed Beyond Good & Evil, I've been looking forward to see how this game turns out. So far the previews have been promising. More to the point, the demo of the PC version has just been released, and it's looking quite good. It certainly has the feel of BG&E about it. I'm now in no doubt that it will completely capture the look and feel of the movie. Indeed, playing the demo has raised my expectations of the movie somewhat. Despite the simplistic controls of the Big Ape, which is pretty similar to the combat controls in BG&E, there is a sense of desperation about it, . Besides the combat there are some 'nice to look at' sub-Prince of Persia swinging and jumping sections (can you actually fall off??), which hopefully is used in a more conplex puzzle like way further in the game. The Jack section was quite good and, while simple, I can see the use of different items making for some more varied gameplay. On the whole it's all looking quite impressive, certainly for a movie game. I just hope that they have built upon the gameplay shown in the demo. That will be the decider between it being a 'quite good' game or a 'very good' game. Anyone else who played the demo, what do you think about it? My fingers are crossed ps. this is in Gamecube, cos most people here will eventually get that version.

Pokemon Blue was awesome. My lvl 100 team owned! I have the old Grey Brick, but the screen cover fell of a few years ago *cries* . Can't remeber the first GB game I played was, tho Tetris and Balloon Kid comes to mind.

Yey! Can anyone tell me how to colour/apply texture to this?

Okay....here's the dolphin I made from the Tutorial. /cheer

Aaaah...just had to convert them all to Meshes to get em to stick together!!

Tried out that Blender thing. I've done the first couple of tutorials, and I feel as though I'm in a position to make some basic models (Made a Majora's Mask models but forgot to save it, D'oh!). Was panicing over how to apply the textures, but then realised they only appear when you render the whole screen. Can anyone tell me how tho apply different textures to different objects, and then join them together. The spikes on my Majora's Mask, all stayed in their position when I pressed ctrl+J, but the main bit of the mask remained detatched. Also, is there any way I can, for example, cut a sphere in half, so that it is a semi circle. Anyway, i'm going to keep working at it, and I'll post the results on here when i get round to it...

X is the obviouse choice. Up on the analogue is just too fiddle, especially if you want to jump forwards for example.

6.5/10 I agree with Moria. Although anything which has a pic of the Electic Blue DS in is fine by my standards...can't wait to get one of those -
VERY scripted. you can really notice it. Things like how the soldiers don't move untill you get to a certain point. How an invulnerable MG42 gunner, only gets snipered when you've cleared the area of enemies, and walk over a certain point. A dude who always throws a grenade in the same place everytime. Allys who jump over a wall precisely as you get to a certain point. Things like that. It's 'fun', but not what I was expecting from CoD2. What happened to the more free roaming levels that they said CoD2 would have?

Just as long as you have a decent PC and a Gamecube, you won't be missing too much. Just the odd PS2 exclusives (the Final Fantasy Games.../weep) will pass you by. Most multi format games go on PC anyway. Plus PC has a fair share of amazing games which you wont get on any console! Plus fps are so much better on PC . Personally I'd rather miss out on Final Fantasy than miss out on Mario, Zelda, Pikmin...etc.

It turns out I could be bothered That blurring thing worked a treat!

Hmmmm....very tasty. It will probably be just like that (unless they use the Lime Green coloured Revo!)

My SNES has turned at bit of a greeny/grey/yellowy colour over the years. I 'spore its just the outside casing being oxidised slowly. It doesn't really matter, the games work perfectly well. I'm never going to sell it, so it doesn't have to be in perfect condition any way.
-
It's just a load of net images Photoshoped together. Couldn't really be bothered to fiddle about and make it completely perfect...but I can see what you mean, now that u mention it.

This is my wallaper at the moment. Click on little pic for the full size version

Majora's Mask is not all about the main story. There are so many side stories and quests. Really, the game is all about the people who live in the world and all their little problems. I was a bit miffed at only four dungeons at first, but the game makes up for that in other areas

What programs do you guys use for 3D Modelling, and are there any decent ones which are not ridiculously expensive. I've just started at Art College, and 3D modelling is an area that I'd like to get in to

Yeah, Metroid Prime was the only game which managed to caputure a tiny bit of the feeling when I first played Mario 64 or Zelda OOT, only a tiny bit of course. So I'd have to go with that one. Though for some reason, I never got round to buying Metroid Prime 2...don't know why?

Paper models are great! These ones are quite cool: http://www.cloverstudio.co.jp/gallery/paper/paper01.html I made some of these during my A-Level revision, whenever I was really depressed! YEY!
