    Here probably: http://n-europe.com/news.php?nid=11861
  2. I'm not taking on any more people right now, thanks all the same.
  3. I suppose you can have your moment but spare a thought for the poor people who worked hours to get a genuinely good time on that track only to see it wiped out by a bunch of cheats! It's a good find of course but once everyone saw the WR video, it was hardly a major achievement afterwards.
  4. Nice time and I was impressed by your TT efforts earlier too...but I just did a 17.427 and can't see myself beating it too soon!
  5. Perry Bible Fellowship ...no doubt!
  6. Okay, I'm happier now that I've got a 26.5 time on the comp! For hitting the item boxes you will have more success if you drive around the opposite way to which the boxes are circulating. The key for this competition is being able to use reverse effectively and then it all works quite nicely.
  7. Good grief, it's only the first day and I'm well behind already! I know you have to keep your distance for the first two and then boost in and then try to hit the last two at the same time but even so, 20 seconds is very tight!
  8. So who's got the new COMP up then? Try to beat 48 seconds as a guide
  9. Well consider yourself shot in the foot once again because Windwaker is nothing like Twilight Princess. Phantom Hourglass is more akin to it ( WW ). Windwaker even divides Nintendo's most hardcore fans as to its worthiness but it's still a good game.
  10. Ditto here too...I hope we see more of Signature...they were genuinely entertaining.
  11. Comp3 starts tomorrow June 1...looks intriguing.
  12. You won't play Zelda because you think it's just a GC port, is it? For shame! We used to have your sort on the official NoE forums and we soon changed their minds about gameplay over graphics! Seriously, it's not your average port, it's got wonderful artwork and level structure that has yet to be matched on any game similar to it until now.
  13. He he, yeah I can believe that! That's kinda my range of up and downs too. Haven't had any DC's for weeks now but I tend to lose points on races with "noobs" meaning that it reverts to 100cc most of the time and I've found that getting into first place and staying ahead of the squabbling pack virtually assures a top 3 place. With 100cc it's easier for everyone to catch up again, especially on the longer tracks and any lead built up is soon eradicated! As there's no online league as such, I think the ratings points are mostly to ensure that people of a similar ability race together rather than a direct reflection of driving skill. I've been known to beat racers sporting 3 stars and no wheel and in the same session lose to someone who's just a guest! That's what Mario Kart is all about...giving the average driver a chance to feel good about winning if they stick to doing at least 6 races with the same crowd.
  14. Hi, not sure why on earth you couldn't play Zelda but I feel sorry for you if that's truly the case as it's a great experience if not the greatest ever challenge! Personally I enjoyed Excite Truck, Rayman Raving Rabbids 1, Pangya Golf, Battalion Wars 2, Zack and Wiki and of course Mario Kart! edit: forgot to add the brilliant Metroid Prime Corruption, after seeing it mentioned below, as I lent that one to my nipper!
  15. I doubt your rating points are saved to the game file in a way that can be reproduced online differently. In other words, your ratings should be saved online too. It would be the saddest thing in the online racing world to resort to that sort of thing though...wouldn't it now? I lost hundreds of points to involuntary disconnections but I've got them back again from just continually racing. That's what it's all about after all...not to get the magical 9999 and never lose...just have a ball racing online and laughing off any minus results.
  16. The main retailers all have a cheaper range on display. Check out Woolworths and HMV for example. Same applies to DS and 360. It's only because the games are still selling well that they keep the prices high; who wouldn't? Most first party titles remain high for months because they are good and popular. The people who moan about prices are usually those who can't afford the games anyway.
  17. Well, at least you sorted it one way or another lol! I still need just one statue but there's very little incentive to look for it.
  18. If it's one of the flimsy-looking mostly wooden doors, then, yes! I thought that was the last chest but maybe there's one there too.
  19. Not 100% sure but there are 2 doorways on the left of where you land; one slightly higher than the other. This is the door which leads to the vortex ability which may be what you need for the other door and the one on the right which leads to the chest. I'll check now.
  20. It's simply a matter of fact that now the Wii has a new demographic as far as "casual gamers" are concerned, these are the people who continually buy the third-rate titles of which you speak and think they're marvellous, not having experienced "proper" games like the first party delights that you and I enjoy and look forward to each year. Until they too start boycotting the poorer games, people will continue to churn them out for a quick buck.

There ARE control issues for sure but they are all surmountable with a little practice. The "straightforward" slice/slash is the worst problem and it may take several attempts to get it right with just the A button alone but if you use the Z button with it as advised in-game ( not C ), THEN IT WORKS EVERY TIME, particularly useful in a fight sequence when you're on low health! The game itself plays like a dream otherwise and all Wii owners should experience it whether or not they owned/played the PS2 version or not.
  22. I too had never defeated that particular enemy form before and had to check a guide to complete it! Crazy for such a short and otherwise enjoyable game. Bring on the sequels though, hoping they listen to all criticism, bearing in mind the limitations.
  23. Hi everyone, I rarely have to ask for help or advise but I only got into Laptops last year and the one I got has an internal wireless transceiver system which has worked fine every day for months. Just recently though, it stopped altogether and the connection disappeared from my network connections page. Fortunately, I had recently got a Netgear router with a free USB device for wireless access and have been using that for now. I got in touch with ACER but they are saying I need to try a system resore to check if the software is playing up. What I would like to know is, is there anything else I could try first to check for a fault as I have looked in the device manager and it's not there anymore, under internet adapters; W/LAN mini PCI card is its name I believe. Any suggestions would be gratefully received! I've changed the boot-up sequence to start at the DVD drive first instead of the hard drive too.
