What flink said, you don't want to have a "What if" hanging over you forever. If all goes wrong you can have horrific facial surgery, abandon your friends and entirely relocate.

I'm not looking for sympathy guys, it was a few years ago now and I, and they, have changed since. The reason I made reference to Masse was it was because his thread I noticed this in. Without that thread I would not have notices the general consensus so yes, the reference did need to be made.

I know this is somewhat of a bump and I know that is against the rules however I hope with what I am about to say will justify this so. Yesterday while online I glanced at Masses "Hey!!!" thread, doing so remind me of his other horrific "Are you homophobic/racist?" thread. The consensus from the thread (before it was rightfully closed) seemed to be that sexual orientation did not determine whether or not a person discriminated against another. It seemed that what people didn't like was the "bitchiness" attached to these gay people, Fair enough. The point I am trying to make is that while while a proportion of the gay population are of course bitchy I would say also that a similar proportion of the straight population are bitchy. Here's a story to help you see what I mean. Ah, wait, firstly, what is a bitch? I personally think that a bichy person is someone who maliciously and immorally abuses someone else. So, here is my point. Now I was bullied a lot throughout school. I'm talking levels such as people spray painting "[My name] is gay" on walls and following me shouting at me. Felt good. Now was this not malicious and immoral abuse? Where the people doing this not "bitchy"? Unfortunately it would seem they were perceived not to be and while these people on grow in popularity mine dwindled. Now fortunately a meet some new great friends and now I'm fine but my point still stands. Why are the bitchy straight men accepted into the main stream while bitchy gay men are not? Is it just because they do it in different ways? They can both be as equally destructive. Clarification: Just for reference I'm not really that bitchy of a person. It may sound like I'm calling myself one but after what I've been through I can't understand the point of it.

Does anyone know if the whole of the Olympics will be on BBC HD?

Oh I've been waiting for this thread.

Happy Birthday Tphi!

Oh hell there was loads back then, I even had Sim Safari. I just think Sim City should be kept as it is. Also, there was no "Sim Hospital", it was Theme Hospital and was fooking amazing.
-
I wouldn't say 2000 is the best, I still think 4 is the best but I could say that 2000 probably will be much better than this. Sim City seems to have lost it's sole recently with this new generation of games. EA seem to busy plowing out "Sim" games everywhere, SimAnimals anyone? SimCity games should be complicated and geared towards the more experience audience. You only have to look at the lackluster SimCity Societies which recived 63% on gamerankings while SimCity 4 got 85%.
-
By "Proper" I mean in depth. Take a look at the complicated zoning structure and demand system in Sim City 4. In these type of games buildings shouldn't be "plopable".
-
Unfortunately this isn't a proper SimCity game, much in the same was Societies wasn't. Until they bring out a real sequel to Sim City 4 there won't be a true new Sim City game. By the looks of it though CitiesXL seem to provide a great city building experience.

Lets not also forget they lost in the quarter-finals of the champions league, got beat by us 4-0 in the FA cup and got to the semi-final of the Carling cup in which they got beat 6-2 on aggregate by Spurs.
-
I think it might just be me hoping for once we break this top 4 situation, and I don't want Everton to be the team to do it again.
-
... I know I said the same thing last year. I've admitted that. I just thing that Spurs may beat you. As I have said Spurs have imporved.
-
Yes, you've lost key players. Helb has gone, Flamini and your vice-captain Gilberto. Spurs have got Modric and Dos Santos, two great players. If anyone is writing anyone off. It's you and Spurs.
-
I personally thing even without Arshavin Spurs could out Arsenal from the top 4. Spurs have done nothing but strengthen and Arsenal have lost a few of their key players. Yes we said this a year ago but this time they have a much better manager, a two time UEFA cup winner and who performed consistently in La Liga with a much smaller budget. Of course, I'm still not totally convinced.

"AfterShock" is a thick, syrup like liqueur. It takes it's name from the high alcohol content (40%) and it's "throat burning" effects.
-
*Jedi* You will learn young one, for now return to your chambers. You need your rest for the pub lunch tomorrow. *Jedi Off*
-
Lets not forget that a couple of seasons ago we only signed Carrick and he was a late buy but we still went on to win the league. Plus we have a very young team (Nani and Anderson still to full adapt), I think this season may be better than the last. Also we have all of Aug left to buy someone.
-
You will, it may take time but you will. Normally a Pub Golf type situation will finish you off.

*high five* But yeah, the novelty of drinking to excess wears thin. And a quick edit : Aftershock?!?! are we back in the 90's? That stuff is only good for the aftershock challenge. There are much better drinks oiut there.
