USB mouse & keyboard for the PS3? Does the 360 have any support like this for any of its current games? This is the first time I am jealous of the PS3 as a 360 owner since I was a big fan of the original UT back in the day. Also, this is a longshot, but Fresh - did you used have a handle called LOLMAN in the original UT? As I recall he was from Leicester (or Lesta like he would say).

Your favourite game on every console you own
azy replied to Stocka's topic in General Gaming Discussion
The only console I have at the moment is an N64, my fav game for it is Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness. I have owned the following consoles previously though and my best games are: Gamecube: Resident Evil REmake Playstation: Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus SNES: Donkey Kong Country -
Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus on the PC. A nifty puzzle/ platform game.

I hope this does not come out on the virtual console and is online. If that happens I'll be as good as dead since my life will be pissed away on the Wii.

N64 Pad - Brilliant usage when brand new, good dpad aswell as analogue stick. Only downside was the wearing out of the analogue stick. Nicely placed trigger aswell. GCN Pad - Good usage overall, but the dpad was a bit small which is okay for Resident Evil games but bordering on the 'shite' side for beat 'em ups. Holding this pad felt more comfortable than the N64 pad. Overall: N64 pad: 8/10, GCN pad: 8.1/10 But I still prefer using the N64 pad which is weird since I graded the GCN one higher, but we live in a weird world with weird logic so I don't really give a shit.

Premiere on the Amiga, too bad the gameplay was a bit naff.

I had a SNES and some of friends had the Mega Drive. All my doubs were put to rest when I played Mortal Kombat 2 and Street Fighter 2 on both consoles and realised that the SNES was better when I heard the sound quality for these games on the MD and realised it was.....let's say not up to par with the SNES versions.

What about N64 games like Perfect Dark, Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness, Jet Force Gemini, and the Turok series? I have these for my N64 and was wondering if I should keep hold of them just in case they're not released on VC.

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 on MAME/ Arcade. After a few fights the cpu controlled character becomes absolutely f**ing ridiculously difficult (even on 'Very Easy' mode).

I must have broken at least 3 joysticks from wriggling out of the situation shown in the screenshot below on Kung Fu Master on the Commodore 64.

I gave it 2 thorough blows but no luck. My guess is that the cartridge has something wrong with it since all other games work with no problems on the n64.

I cleaned the connectors with a dry cotton wool bud but it still happens. Thanks anyway.

I bought a second hand resi 2 (PAL) cartridge a week ago (with N64 and other games as posted in another thread) and this is the only game that seems to be a bit iffy. In this game, whenever I go from one screen to another, the screen bounces down before settling in the right position. This happens in many screens during gampeplay (though not every single screen) and also if I go to the inventory screen the same thing happens: the whole game screen scrolls about 1/3 way down the TV screen then settles in its correct position a half second later. I use the default lead to connect it to my TV and I straightened the lead thinking that it may have something to do with it (even though this doesn't happen to any of the other games) and I moved all objects away from the TV that may have caused an interference but the problem is still there. I don't know if it's a damaged cart or maybe something else? Anyone ever heard of this problem?

Local to Huddersfield is a newspaper called The Examiner and on Saturday's the paper's filled with ad's for various items (less than £100) that locals want to sell. N64's appear fairly rarely in the ad's, it's a case of luck and demand. The one I bought was negotiable because the householder had bought a new console for his son and wanted to get rid of the N64 as it was being unused.

Guys, I don't mean to blow my own trumpet, but I went to Game Station and picked up the following games for a tenner: Goldeneye (wanted) Lylat Wars (wanted) Lamborghini Challenge (not bothered) Fifa 64 (didn't want) WWF 2000 (didn't want) Operation Winback (not bothered) They came as part of a package - none came with box or instructions but I am content with the purchase - just tested them all and they work perfectly. What a weekend. I now have 18 games with the N64 and accessories - not bad for a total of £40. I have to agree, people that sell in papers could make much more money - but still I suppose it beats selling to a second hand shop. As for Goldeneye, I remember playing it and getting a bit tired of it when I had an N64 in the 90's but it still is a very playable game if you haven't played it in a long time - I tried the emulated version on the PC and there are a few bugs in it (black sky or if blue sky then it moves weirdly), it's much better on the real thing (though the graphics are blurrier than a PC but it's the playability that counts).

I got my tv problem solved. I had the RGB scart plugged in the tv all the time which was causing a blank screen, once I took it out and used the default lead it worked ok. It appears that PAL N64's can't output RGB (NTSC N64's can after an internal modification to the motherboard). Anyway, it's working now.

I haven't got Banjo Kazzoie, I might get it if I see it for a bargain price. Haha. I paid a crispy £20 note and a not so crispy £10 note for this bargain. I was thinking that if for any reason i want to sell I could put it on ebay, though that won't be anytime soon. I only need 2 titles now for gaming bliss, Goldeneye 007, and Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness. I have it set up nicely with all the boxes laid next to the N64 but I still haven't got it tuned into my tv yet Anyone have an N64 tuned into a Goodman's GTV51N1 model TV by any chance? i tried the auto tune but got nothing.

I saw another ad in the local paper this time for N64 with 12 games and accessories for £40. I rang the guy and asked if he'd go below £40 and he said £35, I said I have £30 on me right now and I'd come and collect and he said ok. So I bought the following for £30: N64 console & leads 1 controller 1 expansion pack 1 rumble pack 1 memory pack (I think its a memory pack as it fits in the controller and has 5 LED's (1 green, 4 red) on it with Gamester written on it) Mario Kart 64 Perfect Dark Resident Evil 2 Zelda: Majora's Mask Shadows Of the Empire Super Mario 64 Rush 2049 Ready 2 Rumble Blast Corps Rayman 2 Top Gear Overdrive Rocket on Wheels All games boxed with instructions except 4 of them. Before I bought it I asked him to test it to see if it works and he tried it and i had a go to see if it was ok and it was. Now I am testing it on my own tv (10 yr old Goodmans) but have lost the instrustion manual for the tv and can't get it tuned in with the N64. I already had an RGB Scart which I used with a GCN (before I sold it) and it won't work with it as well as the default ariel that came with it. Oh well, at least I got a good deal.

I was looking at getting the "Ultima" AMD Athlon 64 3700 Dual DDR System from http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/full_systems.html and if I buy the same parts from Dabs it saves £130 incl. delivery, and that's with a slightly better graphics card. Cheers for the tip.

Two years ago, I bought the parts for the PC I'm using now from Overclockers UK and CCL Computers but due to faulty hardware I had to underclock my xp2800+ to xp1700+ in order to make the PC run stable. The problem lies with my RAM (failed mem test software) and/ or my motherboard (a known faulty revision of Epox 8RDA3+). I found the customer service for Overclockers and CCL to be very long winded and tiresome so I gave up after several attempts to swap the hardware and stuck with the underclocked cpu. In a few months I'll have saved some cash to upgrade my computer so my question is, which place do you recommend to buy a PC? I'll probably upgrade the whole PC so a new tower is not out of the question. I have used CCL prior to buying the current PC I'm using and they were ok, but I was wondering if there are any other places to buy PC parts/ whole tower for a reasonable price. Thanks.
