  1. I definitely hope so. I got Stick of Truth on a Steam sale. Binge played it and I finished nearly every single side-quest. Anyways,I created a video covering my thoughts on the Switch's first week on the market.
  2. There's a lot that could be improved over MK8. For example, there could be a more substantial single-player campaign. I thought that the four cups in Mario Kart 64 was a bit archaic when I got that game. How about something akin to Diddy Kong Racing instead? Also, I don't want to unlock characters and car parts by random. Give players coins so you can unlock the stuff you want, in whichever order you want. Or create specific tasks for players to complete. That being said, I wouldn't actually mind if the next Smash would hold an identical visual level with the Wii U version, and thus reuse assets and just expand upon it. Yet again, I'd like a more substantial single player mode. Something perhaps similar to Subspace Emissary, only perhaps deeper.
  3. So I just saw this: So basically, Reggie has confirmed what everyone already knew. But he still confirmed it! So let's start this thread about what we want to see in the new Smash Bros. Personally, I'd like a more substantial singleplayer campaign, something akin to Subspace Emissary. Also, I'd like to see Inklings as playable characters.
  4. Any problem that can be fixed with a patch is a non-problem, IMO. So that seems to be great news.
  5. Really, I'd say that having a non-scratc resistant screen rub/rest against hard plastic isn't really an optimal solution. No matter how designed, it will eventually hurt the screen. The inside of the dock should be lined with some sort of soft, smooth fabric.
  6. The Switch has done extremely well during the launch period. In some parts of the world it's done better than the Wii. And with a more solid lineup for the first eight months than we've seen in a VERY long time, everything seems to be going well. But on the flipside, there are lot's and lot's of reports of problems. Controller desync problem Poor Wifi connections Straps getting stuck if put on the wrong joycon Docks stratching screens Dead pixels Completely ruined screens While none of these flaws are catastrophic, putting them all together paints a somewhat grim picture. I'm not the best person to judge, but I wonder if this isn't going to hurt sales of the system. None of these seem to be errors that could be solved with a patch, instead it seems more likely that Nintendo need to get back to the drawing board and redesign certain factors of the system. To release a revised Switch sooner than later. Potentially, I feel they might have to recall and replace people's joycons. What are your thoughts? Can Nintendo just ride this one out? Or do they need to panic and fix the flaws at any cost?
  7. Did Nintendo pay to make this an exclusive, or did the devs just like the idea of the Switch?
  8. Regardless if they have a presentation or not, they better have some games that will be ready for launch IMMEDIATELY. Looking at the Wikipedia list, there are only SIX games coming out for the Switch in June and July. Of course, that might change as games dated for "2017" get more specific release dates. But still, as is right now, that period seems to be a drought. And of course, their presentation needs to be all-out AAA-mayhem to compensate for the lack of such games being announced thus far. Seriously, no time to brag about getting a sequel to TankTankTank and no pretending like timed exclusivity for the next 2D Rayman is a big deal.
  9. Am I right to say that the Switch is a bit of a mess? Joycons disconnecting, poor wifi, straps getting stuck when you put them on the wrong way... wow, I'm actually happy I didn't get the thing. Hopedully the controller and wifi issues can be fixed through a patch... otherwise I see Nintendo having to redesign the system, potentially even make recalls.
  10. I'm not sure if anyone's covered this already, but have you guys seen this? Early concept art for Breath of the Wild. While I loath the look of Link himself in this art (makes me think of some horrid 80's/90's cartoon show I can't remember the name of), I find it interesting that Nintendo considered to give Link a motorcycle. Other concept art also showed an Independence Day-style flying saucer mothership over Hyrule. Makes me wonder if they might actually include a more modern Hyrule in the next game. Maybe allow Link to thunder along the plains on a bike or a Final Fantasy XV-style car.
  11. Was referring to the presentation. One 3D game I'm looking forward to is Racing Apex.
  12. Because 2D is quite niche nowadays... apart from on phones. There are LOTS of 3D indie titles out there, so one may wonder why those games aren't coming out for the Switch. Rocket League is for example a massive omission.
  13. Correct me if I'm wrong, but... ONE 3D game? That's absolutely ludicrous!
  14. I'm so hyped that I made a video about what I wanna see in the next movie. Do you peeps agree?
  15. I've been hearing for quite some time that Microsoft want out of the console business. That they want to sell the Xbox brand. Not strange considering that the original Xbox was supposed to be a multimedia device, not a console.
  16. A fourth Expendables movie has finally been confirmed for a summer 2018 release. What we know so far Summer 2018 release Intended to be the final Expendables movie Will have a Mature rating Hulk Hogan Pierce Brosnan Is going to put the Expendables in a "fish out of water" situation Can you feel the hype?
  17. Just put out a retrospective covering most games by Rare for the N64. Only games I haven't covered are Killer Instinct: Gold, Banjo-Tooie and Conker's Bad Fur Day. None of which I have.
  18. One upside with "cartridges" is that theiretically, developers can put a writable partition on the cartridge itself. Personally, I hope that it'll be possible to write patches and DLC onto your Switch cartridges in the future. If nothing else, it'll make retro game collecting way easier in the future.
  19. Awful car to begin with, but the sprite didn't look like it belongs in Street Fighter at all.
  20. I've had the opportunity to play the console hands-on!
  21. Sort of. It was the kind of game where you wouldn't feel like playing it at all for six months, then suddenly you get an urge and play it for several hours a day for weeks on end.
  22. Don't think so. Probably it's more a matter of the specs drawn up by the higher ups. The Wii U was supposed to carry on the legacy of the Wii, so I think that had a lot to do with how the gamepad turned out.
  23. Stupidity. Lots and lots of boundless stupidity. Seriously, now I completely understand why Codemasters won't bring out Dirt 4 for the Switch. In a game like that, just having a digital on/off button for the throttle literally ruins the game.
  24. In terms of GTA V, is it unreasonable to believe that they're not porting it over because they're going to announce GTA VI soon? After all, GTA V was released in 2013, making it almost four years old. Or perhaps my theory of Retro Studios making a Nintendo-exclusive entry/remake holds some merit?
  25. I just threw together a video covering my thoughts on the Switch so far. Hope it sparks a bit of debate
