I just lost 6260 stars - had no idea it was going to happen now, as they said previously if any were due to expire they would dissappear last December, but they didnt, so I thought I was 'safe' Does anybody have a contact email address for Nintendo UK they could PM me? I have tried the one on their site three times with no reply. Honestly, in many ways I wish Nintendo Europe hadnt even bothered with the whole 'Stars Catalogue' idea if they were going to do it so badly. I had been saving my stars since the launch of the Gamecube, waiting for something decent to come up (As they always showed you in their emails lots of games and 'real life' items that you would 'soon be able to purchase') Why even have a limit on 'virtual' Wii Points? I cant believe Nintendo Japan saw Nintendo Europe's idea and were so impressed that they went and used it in Japan as 'Club Nintendo' - which is a 1000 times better than our Stars Catalogue has ever been.

Nope, the only place I can really find a mention of any Zelda items on the website is on the 'Master Replicas 2008 product lineup':- http://masterreplicas.com/customer/community/news/detail.php?id=131 The only clear pictures and details I have been able to find about the Master Sword are here:- Article http://www.kombo.com/article.php?artid=10608 Pictures http://74.52.193.82/events/main.php?g2_itemId=89551 They should really release some more information now - especially with only 4 months to go until the end of the year! (If they are going to release them this year) Also, any news on the first4figures re-designed Link Face?

I thought Play.com's price was abit much, so had a look around and have just preordered the Master Sword Replica from Forbidden Planet for £64.79 using a 10% off code: FPISFXPROMO (From HotUKDeals) You can also go through quidco for even more off! Hope that helps Has anyone seen any pictures of the other two Zelda replicas 'Master Replicas' is supposed to be releasing this year - a 1:1 Majoras Mask, and a 1:1 Ocarina of Time? ...I hope they make a shield...

What's the worst thing that Nintendo have ever done?
Link83 replied to welsh_gamer's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Things that bug me are all to do with Nintendo of Europe:- The Stars Catalogue - promised so much yet delivered so little. The idea is sound, but they way they implimented it has been so awful that they have annoyed alot of their loyal fans - ironically the people that they were actually trying to please. I wish they hadnt bothered at all to be honest. Also, I cant believe Nintendo Europe came up with the idea first, showed it to Nintendo of Japan, who though it was such a good idea that they made the excellent 'Club Nintendo' which shows how it could and should be done. Regional lockouts - why are nintendo still carrying on with this? They cant even argue that its about varying TV standards anymore. European releases - nuff said Price Fixing - Nintendo fixed the price of games at artificiallly high prices during much of the 90's. Remember paying £49.99-£59.99 for games? They were actually fined £92.1m by the European courts for price fixing. More here:- http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/2375967.stm European Virtual Console - Inferior versions of our retro games, yes please nintendo! -
Well, except for Super Mario 64 Shindou Edition:- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Mario_64#Sequels_and_remakes Only released in Japan though, but I cant see why they couldnt make the virtual console version include the programming code from the Shindou version for rumble support.

Honestly, you are much better of without it for all the good its been so far... I couldnt agree more
-
Hey everyone, Just thought id ask if anyone has recieved any of the items they ordered from the new Club Nintendo launch? as it has been almost four weeks now....
-
Unfortunately not if past items are anything to go by
-
Well only because some people have been trying to get on the site all day with no suceess
-
Yeah, but you would think by now that nintendo would have expected there to be a huge amount of traffic and prepared accordingly. I was able to look at the French Stars Catalogue all day but couldnt buy anything . Yet I have still not managed to get on the UK Site. Im sorry but it just doesnt seem very fair to me.
-
I guess ill complain and get nothing, this really sucks, I thought one of the major things about the new site was to have plenty of stock. I really cant believe how bad nintendo are at making a simple freebie catalogue, I have been waiting years saving up my stars point for something decent and now this I wish they had never bothered making one in the first place, at least I wouldnt be so dissapointed... I dont suppose anyone who bought the statue would be willing to sell it/ swap it for a stars points acount with about 17000 stars?
-
NOOOOO! Are you kidding me, this is a joke
-
Are you serious? Do you have a link?
-
So is the site working for everybody now? I still get 404 errors and im on Virgin Media Alternatively I can access the French Catalogue, so could I use my points on there and get it delivered to the UK?
-
See here!:- http://www.nintendo-europe.com/ Think it looks quite good so far, much better than the old site...

Getting my hands on a second new Wavebird
Link83 replied to Excelle's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Yeah nintendo should definitely do this - 'Wii' white with Wii logo and rumble, PLUS they should make a new slimline reciever for it so that you can close the flap on the Wii with the reciever plugged in. Although I do think Nintendo will just end up releasing a Wireless Classic controller instead, which would be no good as it wont work with Gamecube games -
I have a Wireless router, but I only use it to connect to my Nintendo DS. I have WEP and MAC address filtering on (as you cant use WPA with the Nintendo DS) How secure do you think my connection will be?

Does no-one know if Sandisk Extreme III 2GB SD cards work ok with the Wii?
-
Sorry if these questions have already answered before, but does PAL Wii Zelda Twilight Princess support 480p? I thought it did, but then I read this news article:- http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=159419 "We weren't disappointed with Zelda's graphical style - it looked great. We were more let down by the PAL Wii version not running in 480p like its US and Japanese counterparts. If you've played it through a component lead on a HD TV, you'll have noticed the extra blur-o-vision - which isn't present in NTSC versions." I seriously hope it has 480p otherwise we eurogamers are getting screwed yet again.... Also, I posted this in the Gamecube Zelda thread, but havent got any replies so thought someone here might know; can you play the Gamecube version of Zelda TP on a Wii using the Wiimote? I know it sounds unlikely but I was reading through the Gamecube section of HDTVArcade forums and came across this thread:- http://www.hdtvarcade.com/hdtvforum/index.php?showtopic=7801 Which suggests that you can, is it correct? Does playing Gamecube Zelda TP on a Wii unlock an option to use the Wiimote?
-
So does anyone know if Sandisk Extreme III 2GB SD cards work ok with the Wii?
-
Great comparison pics, thanks. Although anyone using a PAL Wii console should be aware that it doesnt support S-Video, although PAL Wii's do support RGB scart instead, which is even better than S-Video
-
OK, I was reading through the Gamecube section of HDTVArcade forums and came across this thread:- http://www.hdtvarcade.com/hdtvforum/index.php?showtopic=7801 Which suggests that you can play the Gamecube version of Zelda TP on a Wii using the Wiimote! Is this true?

Im pretty sure Mario Kart Double Dash didnt make it to players choice, as I have never seen a single copy - i'd love to be proved wrong though!
-
I feel the same way, hence why I would love to know if the one im going to recieve from play will be a players choice version or not....
