Platty Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 So ive just got back from the first night of the BBC Electric proms! I saw Paul weller who was brilliant. He was joined on stage by Amy Whitehouse, Carl Barat and the guy from hard fi. Brilliant night out!! the magic numbers were supporting who were also very good. Brilliant night to kick off the 5 day electric proms!! Anyone else going to any of these gigs?? The next one im going to is on Sunday, The Who and The Fratellis!! Cant wait for that, is going to be very awesome. I would have loved to have got tickets to tomorrows as i think its damon albarns new band the good the bad and the queen. That will be good. If you didnt manage to get any tickets i do believe you can watch it on BBCi and also on the BBC website. Check it out: http://www.bbc.co.uk/electricproms/
killthenet Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 On a whole it seems pretty awful to me, there are a few decent bands dotted around the gigs; Squarepusher, Klaxons, Vashti Bunyan... But overall, t'ain't for me.
EEVILMURRAY Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 The adverts for it were worthy of the Adverts That Blow series.
KingJoe Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 The advert with the girl humming makes my skin crawl.
Platty Posted October 28, 2006 Author Posted October 28, 2006 My videos that i filmed from the night can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=platty182 I recommend that if you are a Weller fan to watch In the city with Carl Barat, it's awesome!
