Hero-of-Time Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 http://www.woolworths.co.uk/ww_p2/product/index.jhtml?pid=50739299 Its probably cheap for a reason but I just wanted to know if it would be any good for my 360. Thanks
DiemetriX Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 I'm not sure. But I would never buy a "noname" or a brand I have never heard about wihout reading good reviews first.
Been Insane Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 I saw that in the store yesterday and it looked nice. As Diemetrix said though i'd do some research.
Hero-of-Time Posted September 30, 2006 Author Posted September 30, 2006 Some guys on other forums said its pretty good so I may go for it.
Oli1983uk Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 i have been watching this for a wwhile now and some people on http://www.moneysavingexpert.com say that it can appear to have slow pixels at times and picture not that great, have a look on their forums and also AV forums. Been thinking about this one my self as but may hang.
Colin Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 That TV is only at that price today apparently. Looks quite nice though, and if the people over at the AV forums say it's quite good, then you have nothing to worry about.
Oli1983uk Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 from what i heard it will be this price till Xmas.
Hero-of-Time Posted September 30, 2006 Author Posted September 30, 2006 from what i heard it will be this price till Xmas. Yeah some are saying 2 weeks others til Christmas. I still thinking about it, I may pop in stoe and see if they have one set up so I can see the quality of it.
Colin Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Yeh, I've just seen the deal posting. And it says "from Saturday", so it's most likely a price reduction for good.
Aimless Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Decided to order one of these today; shame they didn't have any stock in-store near me. I was wary of it being 'noname' as DiemetriX pointed out, but apparently it's just a rebadged Thomson 32LB125B5 — you can peel the Technosonic stickers off. I'm buying it for my room, so I won't be watching TV on it only (HD?)DVDs and games on my 360 — I was thinking about setting up my Wii in the living room, for both technical and ideological reasons. I should be able to run my iBook though it, too, come to think of it. Not sure when it'll be delivered yet, but I'll give impressions when it arrives.
Oli1983uk Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 on the web site it list the next lot of TV's will be in on the 25th of the month but depends on how many people have ordered them. I am thinking of getting one of theses aswell for my room, as my current tv is about to blow up.
Mikey Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 I had a TV made by Technosonic a while ago, and it was terrible. I'd never buy anything made by them again.
Aimless Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Mega bump, I know, but this arrived the other day. I can't really give a comparison to other screens as I haven't spent much time around — properly configured — HDTVs. However, it certainly seems like a worthy purchase to me, and I haven't noticed any visual oddities. Bit big for my desk, though; might have to get a wall bracket.
