Phil Harrison: "We didn't copy the Wiimote, We invented 3D games & PC's are obsolete"

Phil also said this:

“We believe that the PS3 will be the place where our users play games, watch films, browse the Web, and use other computer functions. The PlayStation 3 is a computer. We do not need the PC,â€

If PC's are obsolete then why was Gran Turismo running on one at E3?

Yeah i mean even the sony fans are making fun of it, in the same way that everyone (including nintendo fans) made fun of the name "wii".

Yep. And for one, those angry Sony gushers should stop calling people immature or kiddy if they're themselves making any Wii pissing jokes. That's like a skunk calling a diaper "stink-o".

Let's face it, Sony recently have made a complete arse of themselves. Not only with their PR stuff but with the whole PS3 deal.

It's all funny as hell. And Sony fanatics should take that pole out of their arse and just go along with the fun. Just like we had to do with the whole Wii debacle.

And it's not like Phil Harrison didn't say something incredibly stupid.

I agree with them with the copying thing, because there is no evidence to suggest they did diliberately copy Nintendo, but the fact that the ORIGINAL ps3 controller did not have this technology and only one game at E3 2006 used the feature makes it very uncertain.

Other than that, they talk crap. Its market talk, your not going to let people know your a copying lying bastard? It only concerns us because we know the facts, the people reading the interviews most probably do not.
