CVD Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Wow, I was playing around with Gmail there, changed my language to ENG-US instead of ENG-UK and about a million new features just popped up. Here's how: Settings (the top of any page in Gmail) > Language: English (US) > Save There's loads of Google Talk and Google Calendar integration. Just wanted to pass this on to any other n00bies like myself who wanted to check this out.
Cubechris Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 ah, no wonder you commented on the lack of calandar integration over at Fusion, sorry >_<
faz99 Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Ya i always wondered why i never had google talk. I emailed away like crazy to try and get it activated. Then it dawned on me when i was reading a news website awhile ago that these new features are only available in US accounts! So went straight to the language. Its worth the gray grey and colour color difference!!
Tphi Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 It's disapointing they still haven't put this in other languages yet. And it's the same with the main Google site. Even google.co.uk doesn't have as many services as google.com.
Locky Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 I never realised you had to be in Gmail - US for the Talk stuff to work! Mine has always been set to that. I've had an account from the start so my email address ends in @gmail.com rather than googlemail(?).
christophicus Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Yeah ive had this done for a few months now its really cool ,not htat i use the extra features much.
